知识工作者的能力整合与企业效率

在21世纪,企业的附加价值将主要是由知识工作者而不是体力劳动者所创造,企业所面临的商业环境也具有更高的不可预测性和迅速变化性,如何提高知识工作者与企业的效率已成为一个亟待研究的重要课题。亚当·斯密的劳动分工理论和泰勒的科学管理实践有效地提高了体力劳动者的效率,但是由于体力劳动者和知识工作者在商业环境与能力基础等方面存在着显著的差异,在知识经济时代,只有基于知识的专业分工和能力整合才能全面提高企业效率。基于系统思维的人力资源能力成熟度模型以人力资源管理系统的系统构成、运行流程以及能力之间在不同程度上的和谐性为着眼点,将成熟度等级、流程域、目标和管理实践有机地融合为一体,为知识工作者的能力整合和企业效率的提高提供了指南。

Computing optimal adjustment schemes for the general tool-wear problem

An important problem in process adjustment using feedback is how often to sample the process and when and by how much to apply an adjustment. Minimum cost feedback schemes based on simple, but practically interesting, models for disturbances and dynamics have been discussed in several particular cases. The more general situation in which there may be measurement and adjustment errors, deterministic process drift, and costs of taking an observation, of making an adjustment, and of being off target, is considered in this article. Assuming all these costs to be known, a numerical method to minimize the overall expected cost is presented. This numerical method provides the optimal sampling interval, action limits, and amount of adjustment; and the resulting average adjustment interval, mean squared deviation from target, and minimum overall expected cost. When the costs of taking an observation, of making an adjustment, and of being off target are not known, the method can be used to choose a particular scheme by judging the advantages and disadvantages of alternative options considering the mean squared deviation they produce, the frequency with which they require observations to be made, and the resulting overall length of time between adjustments. Computer codes that perform the required computations are provided in the appendices and applied to find optimal adjustment schemes in three real examples of application.

The institutionalization of knowledge transfer activities within industry–university collaborative ventures

Due to the changing competitive landscape, organizations must increasingly focus on acquiring external knowledge to advance new technologies. This study examines the institutionalization of knowledge transfer activities between industrial firms and university research centers. Data were collected from 189 firms collaborating with 21 university research centers in the US. Results show that knowledge transfer activities are facilitated when industrial firms have more mechanistic structures, cultures that are more stable and direction-oriented, and when the firm is more trusting of its university research center partner. Implications for both industry and universities, including their effect on firm performance, are discussed.     

论学科全息机制在高等教育中的运用

知识全息是知识系统本质的必然体现,学科全息机制是知识生产的内部运行机制。学科全息机制主要包括：学科研究对象、原理的全息、学科研究方法的全息、学科研究队伍的全息。但是,高校在现实发展过程中的种种不恰当做法,背离了知识系统本身的自组织发展规律,造成了学科的现实发展与知识系统全息发展的矛盾,需要我们通过改革高校不当的组织管理方式、打破以学科分界为基础的院系设置、改变教师落后封闭的思想观念和单一老化的知识结构及改变高校单一的人才培养模式等方面来加以完善。     

FORRIDGE - Principles of good practice in material flow

The post World War II Industrial Revolution has driven production away from the old 'economies of scale' to the new 'economies of scope'. Apparently Japanese led, the associated roots of present good practice on material flow can be traced back in the USA to Jay Forrester and in the UK to Jack Burbidge. Specifically, in the supply chain scenario, Forrester exposed the importance of system structure in relating and integrating information flow with material flow. Similarly Burbidge led the way in exploiting cycle time reduction, synchronization of orders throughout the chain, simplified product structures, and streamlined component flows. This paper unites their contributions to material flow engineering and shows how present day system design methodologies incorporate their ideas on best practice. These principles are particularly relevant to the product delivery process (PDP) which governs material flow in supply chains.     

On the total sojourn time of particles in semi-markov compartmental system with branching particles

We consider a semi-Markov compartroental system with branching particles, Me study the total sojourn time of all the particles and obtain the asymptotic behaviour of its mean. We also discuss some special systems.     

Knowledge transfer of the Western concept of quality

This paper addresses one of the issues in contemporary globalization theory: the extent to which there is 'one best way' in which business can be conducted and organizations managed. It uses Czarniawska's 'travels of ideas' model as an organizing framework to present and understand how the concept of 'quality', so important in contemporary approaches to manufacturing and services, and their management, travelled to, and impinged on, a newly opened vehicle assembly plant in Poland. The extent to which new meanings were mutually created in the process of translation is discussed, using ethnographic reporting and analysis techniques commonly used in diffusion research. Parallels between the process of translation as an idea becomes embedded into a new cultural location and the processes which contemporary research has identified as important to organizational learning are briefly discussed in conclusion.
