建安七体文论析

七体自枚乘《七发》首创之后,作者继踵。建安七体文皆是虚构一主一客问答的招隐型作品,但它们并不是简单的模拟之作,在思想倾向上,虽是以儒家思想为主,却也体现出当时对刑名之学的重视;在情感倾向上,作者的情感已由讽谏转向颂美,名为招隐,实为自招,并成为激励士人的劝仕之作;在艺术技巧上,注重语句的对仗工整,讲究音律的和谐,用典成分增多,体现出较强的骈化趋势。总之,建安七体文无论从内容还是形式,都受到了那个时代社会风气和政治背景的影响。

THE INEFFICIENCY OF WORKER TIME USE

Much work is carried out in short, interrupted segments. This phenomenon, which we label task juggling, has been overlooked by economists. We study the work schedules of some judges in Italy documenting that they do juggle tasks and that juggling causally lowers their productivity substantially. To measure the size of this effect, we show that although all these judges receive the same workload, those who juggle more trials at once instead of working sequentially on few of them at each unit of time, take longer to complete their portfolios of cases. Task juggling seems to have no adverse effect on the quality of the judges' decisions, as measured by the percent of decisions appealed. To identify these causal effects we estimate models with judge fixed effects and we exploit the lottery assigning cases to judges. We discuss whether task juggling can be viewed as inefficient, and provide a back‐of‐the‐envelope calculation of the social cost of longer trials due to task juggling.

Reinvigorating the social contract and strengthening social cohesion: Social protection responses to COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed the vulnerability of those who are inadequately covered by social protection in more and less developed countries alike, and has exacerbated the fragility of a social contract that was already under strain in many countries. A weak social contract in the context of an exceptional crisis poses a very real risk to social cohesion. Nevertheless, many States have reasserted themselves as the guarantor of rights by protecting public health and incomes. By sustaining these measures, economic recovery will be supported which will help minimize risks that may weaken social cohesion. However, this is a fast-moving, inherently unstable and protracted crisis. Social protection stands at a critical juncture. Decisive policy action will be required to strengthen social protection systems, including floors, as one of the cornerstones of a reinvigorated social contract.     

Ségrégation professionnelle selon la durée du travail en Europe

L'auteur évalue la ségrégation professionnelle selon la durée du travail dans quinze pays européens, à partir de données de l'Enquěte européenne sur les forces de travail. Il recherche les déterminants de cette ségrégation par une analyse de régression reposant sur trois groupes d'indicateurs (quantité d'emploi, qualité de l'emploi et institutions). De façon générale, la ségrégation observée est plus forte chez les hommes que chez les femmes, et chez les jeunes que chez les adultes. Elle est plutôt corrélée avec la quantité d'emploi chez les hommes, alors que des variables des trois groupes d'indicateurs interviennent chez les jeunes et les femmes adultes.     

“管他”的语法化

＂管他＂是一个至今未被收入虚词词典的连词性成分。在现代汉语中,＂管他＂虽然没有词汇化为一个词,但它是一个经过句法上的并入操作而实现的韵律词,比＂管＂更有资格充当连词性成分。＂管他＂语法化为连词性成分首先是语义条件,即＂管＂由行为动词演变为心理动词、代词＂他＂的意义虚化,其次是语音条件,即现代汉语双音节的自然音步模式。此外,＂管他＂语法化为连词的直接语境是反问句,相关语境是否定句。     

《儿女英雄传》中的副词“都”及其语法化

《儿女英雄传》是《红楼梦》通向现代北京话的中途站,通过它可以了解汉语在19世纪中期的基本面貌。当时,副词“都”已具备表示范围和表示语气等用法,其语气副词用法中有一类兼表已然义。根据《儿女英雄传》中反映的语言事实和语法化的一般规律,副词“都”的语法化路径应该为“范围副词→语气副词→兼表已然义的语气副词”。
