The use of vignettes to empower effective responses to attempted sexual assault

Objective: Women assertively resisting sexual aggression have the best chances of avoiding completed rape. Especially with acquaintances, there are significant social and psychological barriers to resistance. Novel vignettes depicting acquaintance rape were designed to enhance self-efficacy, reduce unrealistic optimism, and empower assertive resistance. Participants: The data were collected using a Web-based survey of 449 female college students from multiple universities in August–October 2014. Methods: Between-subjects mixed-methods design. Participants were randomly assigned to read one of four vignettes and complete self-report measures of personal vulnerability, self-efficacy, and beliefs and intention about resistance. Results: Although vignettes did not impact self-efficacy, one vignette enhanced perceived controllability and decreased unrealistic optimism. Women who read about completed acquaintance rape described intention to use physically assertive responses at double the rate of women reading about successful resistance. Conclusions: As low-cost, easily disseminated materials, vignettes about sexual assault may enhance campus prevention efforts.     

TMR: An Automated System for Managing Revenue

Abstract

The Total Medical Record (TMR) system used by the Division of University Health Services at Duke University is an integrated medical and management information system. One module supports the financial needs of the division. To facilitate managerial performance, TMR automatically prints insurance claims, refund statements, revenue summary data, service utilization, itemized visit statements, monthly patient bills, dunning letters, and has a host of unique features that aid management with controlling the private fees generated by the University Health Services. In addition, the servicing of prepaid programs is accommodated, and the splitting of charges between prepaid and fee-for-service programs occurs automatically.     

The prospectus of activism: discerning and delimiting imagined possibility

This article aims to articulate a new agenda in the scholarship of social movements. Specifically, it seeks to turn attention to the assumptions that undergird activism. Rather than studying movements themselves, we can study them as the embodiment of collective expectation in a particular public. We can learn more about the broader society in which movements are embedded by asking how activists and the public they seek to engage determine what is within the realm of possibility. I refer to the imagined horizon of possibility as the activist prospectus. To illustrate the importance of prospectus, I draw upon a case study of environmental activism in Samara, Russia. Ethnographic observation and analysis yield insights into subjective perceptions that help explain the weakness of civil society within Russia.     

从我国家庭教育现状透视幼儿的自我效能感

自我效能感是人们对自己实现特定领域行为目标所需能力的信心或信念。自我效能感影响人们的行为选择及行为持续时间，个体对自我效能的判断决定着个体将付出多大的努力以及在遇到障碍或不愉快的经历时能坚持多久，同时也影响人们的思维模式和情感反应模式。自我效能感是个体不可或缺的一种关键经验，具肴相对稳定性，早期自我效能感的发展状况影响着后期的发展结果。通过对现代家庭教育在教育观、价值观、技巧及在教育中的物质与精神的失衡、权利与义务的失衡等方面现状的分析，探讨了目前家庭教育对幼儿自我效能感的影响，在此基础上，提出了促进幼儿自我效能感的家庭教育策略。     

贫困大学生一般自我效能感调查报告——以华北电力大学为例

一般自我效能感是影响大学生心理健康水平的重要因素。本文通过对华北电力大学贫困大学生以分层取样的方式进行的调查研究,分析了贫困大学生一般自我效能感现状及在人口学变量上的差异,进而提出改善贫困大学生一般自我效能感的途径,为高校贫困大学生心理健康教育工作提供依据和参考。

本文介绍了自主学习和班杜拉的自我效能感理论，分析了自我效能感对大学英语自主学习过程的影响机制，进而提出了教师如何培养学生的自我效能感，以促进学生更有效地进行自主学习。     

自我效能视野下的思政教师职业倦怠及其干预

思想政治理论课教师职业倦怠是一种社会现象。其成因虽然是多方面的,但教师自我效能感的衰减却不容忽视。以提高思想政治理论课教师自我效能感为切入点寻求缓解教师职业倦怠方法:重塑理想信念,提升个体的自我效能感;建构社会支撑体系,促进个体自我效能感的发展;积极主动增强思想政治理论课教师自我效能感正面信息;改善思想政治理论课教师自我效能感形成与发展的内在要求。     

Exploring teachers’ career self-management. Considering the roles of organizational career management,occupational self-efficacy,and learning goal orientation.

The current study examines how organizational career management – i.e. activities undertaken by schools in order to plan and manage teachers’ careers – relates to teachers’ career self-management – i.e. teachers steering their careers by means of searching for opportunities, networking, or seeking supervisory support. Moreover, it examines the mediating roles of occupational self-efficacy and learning goal orientation in this relationship. Mediation analysis in SPSS, using the PROCESS macro of survey data from 220 Dutch secondary school teachers, showed that positive relationships between organizational career management and career self-management were mediated by occupational self-efficacy and learning goal orientation.     

“三困生”目标内容与自我效能感、主观幸福感的相关研究

贫困生、心理困难生和学习困难生(以下简称"三困生")的教育工作一直是高校关注的重点和难点,本文从目标内容、自我效能感、主观幸福感三个方面对484名大学生进行相关研究,探讨影响"三困生"学业、心理、行为的心理机制。结果:(1)"三困生"的目标内容与自我效能感、主观幸福感之间有着密切的关系,内部目标能正性预测自我效能感和主观幸福感,而外部目标与自我效能感、消极情绪和生活满意度存在负相关关系。(2)"三困生"的外部目标得分显著高于普通生,他们体会到更少的生活满意度和积极情绪,自我效能感也较低。(3)在外表吸引力和经济成功因子上性别差异显著,在生活满意度上,城乡差异显著。结论:"三困生"的目标内容与自我效能感、主观幸福感之间密切相关,引导"三困生"树立正确个人目标,有助于提高他们的心理健康水平和学业成就。     

大学生家庭教养方式、自尊水平与 职业决策自我效能感的关系研究

为了探讨大学生家庭教养方式、自尊水平与职业决策自我效能感间的关系,采用家庭教养方式量表、自尊量表以及职业决策自我效能感量表,对黑龙江省8所高等院校的456名大学生进行调查,调查结果显示:大学生家庭教养方式、自尊水平、职业决策自我效能感分别在是否为独生子女、性别、年级上对应差异显著;自尊水平、职业决策自我效能感这两个变量均与父母情感温暖与理解呈显著正相关;家庭教养方式可以显著地预测职业决策自我效能感,父亲过度保护因子、家庭教养方式总分能够显著的预测自尊.
