A praxis and Research Agenda for Multicultural Human Services Organizations

Human services organizations in the United States are currently faced with the problems of a diminishing and shifting resource base coupled with increasing demands for services. In addition, national demographic changes with increasing social diversity, and a rise in racial, ethnic, gender and other group-based tensions have posed special challenges for human service organizations. By tracing the history of social work approaches to working with ethnic minorities, this paper argues that responses to environmental flux have in fact been inadequate in addressing issues of social inequalities and injustices. We articulate a vision of socially just and diverse human services organizations that are both empowering and empowered. We call these Multicultural Human Services Organizations (MHSO). We spell out praxis and research agendas that continue the social justice-social diversity mission that is central to our vision.     

On the Critical Value Behaviour of Multiple Decision Procedures

In this paper we investigate the asymptotic critical value behaviour of certain multiple decision procedures as e.g. simultaneous confidence intervals and simultaneous as well as stepwise multiple test procedures. Supposing that n hypotheses or parameters of interest are under consideration we investigate the critical value behaviour when n increases. More specifically, we answer e.g. the question by which amount the lengths of confidence intervals increase when an additional parameter is added to the statistical analysis. Furthermore, critical values of different multiple decision procedures as for instance step-down and step-up procedures will be compared. Some general theoretic results are derived and applied for various distributions.     

Correlation in a Bayesian framework

The authors consider the correlation between two arbitrary functions of the data and a parameter when the parameter is regarded as a random variable with given prior distribution. They show how to compute such a correlation and use closed form expressions to assess the dependence between parameters and various classical or robust estimators thereof, as well as between p‐values and posterior probabilities of the null hypothesis in the one‐sided testing problem. Other applications involve the Dirichlet process and stationary Gaussian processes. Using this approach, the authors also derive a general nonparametric upper bound on Bayes risks.     

《国语》的编撰意图及其文学价值

在中国文学史上,《国语》一向不被人重视。其实不论是从史学角度,还是从文学角度,《国语》都是很值得深入研究的。本文通过对《国语》编撰意图的分析,认为其文学史料不是简单的拼凑,而是紧紧围绕礼治、民本、忠恕、正名等思想选择的。此外,《国语》一书结构的安排,也不只是遵循周王室与各诸侯国关系远近、先华夏后蛮夷的原则,而是另有深意,即反映礼乐崩坏的前因后果。《国语》一书因此成为有机的整体,文学和史学价值也进一步提高。     

老字号品牌价值共创机理及对策研究——基于服务主导逻辑视角

将服务主导逻辑的思维范式引入老字号企业中来,结合消费文化和社会情景价值理论探讨该领域中品牌价值的共创机理,基于理论假设构建研究框架。以北京、上海、福建三个地区的不同行业老字号品牌企业为实证研究对象,对企业员工和消费者进行访谈和问卷调查。通过修正的初始量表,基于PLS-SEM方法对收集的309份有效问卷调查数据应用SPSS22.0和Smart PLS2.0进行分析,验证消费者情感价值共创的中介作用及互联网媒介交互的调节作用。分析结果表明,消费者与老字号企业共同创造价值,历史悠久的老字号品牌企业关注基于互联网媒介下不同利益相关者的互动和协同才能创造品牌价值共创的最理想点,最后为老字号品牌管理提供有益的建议和应对策略。     

产业集聚对创新活动空间差异的影响——基于中国制造业数据的实证研究

从空间角度探究中国制造业创新活动差异的形成原因。在产业集聚知识外溢的假设前提下,主要考察中国国家行业标准分类3位码下161个产业的两种产业集聚结构（专业化和多样化）对区域产业创新活动的影响,此外还验证了多样化的产业集聚结构在不同的市场化水平和技术密集程度下对区域产业创新活动的影响。

中国物流上市公司的债务融资与市场价值研究

分析发现物流企业的债务融资率的提高对企业市场价值的增加具有积极的促进作用。同时,债务融资对企业下一年的业绩具有积极的作用,这主要得益于物流企业的整体资产回报率高于借款的成本,从而使企业的股东得到收益,也促进企业价值的提升。     

中国环境公益诉讼之兴起与走势——基于环境正义与环境诉讼价值进路的分析

在我国,环境污染及其造成的损害日益严重,客观上对损害救济的相关法律提出了变革与发展的要求。然而,传统环境侵权诉讼在原告资格、诉讼事由和诉讼主体——环保团体的诉讼资格方面面临诸多困境。环境公益诉讼在原告的起诉资格、诉讼标的、诉讼事由以及诉讼性质等方面,弥补了传统环境侵权诉讼的缺陷,在实现环境正义、保护环境公益、救济环境损害方面起到了不可替代的作用。     

The shifting landscape of LGBT organizational research

Over the past generation, sexual minorities—particularly lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) persons—have gained increased visibility in the public arena. Yet organizational research has lagged behind in recognizing and studying this category of organizational members. This article offers a critical review of this growing body of research. More specifically, we identify and discuss four dominant scholarly frames that have informed LGBT organizational research from the late nineteenth century to date. The frames include a “medical abnormality,” “deviant social role,” “collective identity,” and “social distinctiveness” view of sexual minorities. We argue that these frames have profoundly shaped the scope and range of organizational scholarship devoted to sexual minorities by showing that scholars using such contrasted frames have been drawn to very different research questions with respect to sexual minorities. We document and discuss the main and contrasted questions asked within each of these frames and show how they have both enabled and constrained LGBT organizational research. We conclude by calling for more attention to the frames organizational scholars adopt when studying sexual minorities, but also for more research on both minority and majority sexual orientations in organizations.
