Influence measures in blocked designs of experiments with correlated errors

Diagnostics measures for detecting outliers in data from block designs of experiments with correlated errors are considered. Influence is often assessed by deleting suspected outlying observations. Autocorrelation of order one is considered to model correlation in each block. Cook-statistic is developed for detecting the effect of a single outlier, where results are illustrated with an example.     

Block empirical likelihood for longitudinal partially linear regression models

The authors propose a block empirical likelihood procedure to accommodate the within‐group correlation in longitudinal partially linear regression models. This leads them to prove a nonparametric version of the Wilks theorem. In comparison with normal approximations, their method does not require a consistent estimator for the asymptotic covariance matrix, which makes it easier to conduct inference on the parametric component of the model. An application to a longitudinal study on fluctuations of progesterone level in a menstrual cycle is used to illustrate the procedure developed here.     

Construction of Youden hyperrectangles

Youden hyperrectangles are higher-dimensional generalizations of balanced block designs and generalized Youden designs. This kind of design has been shown to be optimal for the elimination of multi-way heterogeneity. In this paper, patchwork and geometric methods are combined to construct Youden hyperrectangles for many parameter values.     

On the optimality of a class of minimal covering designs

It is shown that the minimal covering designs for v=6t+5 treatments in blocks of size 3 are optimal w.r.t. a large class of optimality criteria. This class of optimality criteria includes the well-known criteria of A-, D- and E-optimality. It is conjectured that these designs are also optimal w.r.t. other criteria suggested by Takeuchi (1961).     

Complete designs with blocks of maximal multiplicity

The set of distinct blocks of a block design is known as its support. We construct complete designs with parameters v(?7), k=3, λ=v ? 2 which contain a block of maximal multiplicity and with support size $\text{b}{}^1\text{= (}{}^{\mathrm{v}}{}_3\text{) ? 4(v ? 2)}$. Any complete design which contains such a block, and has parameters v, k, λ as above, must be supported on at most (^v₃) ? 4(v ? 2) blocks. Attention is given to complete designs because of their direct relationship to simple random sampling.     

A survey of nested designs

A nest with parameters (r,k,λ)→(r′,k′,λ′) is a BIBD on (b,v,r,k,λ) where each block has a distinguished sublock of cardinality k, the sublocks forming a (b,v,r,k,λ)-design.These designs are ‘nested’ in the sense of W.T. Federer (1972), who recommended the use of these designs for the sequential addition of periods in marketing experiments in order to retain Youden design properties as rows are added. Note that for a Youden design, the b columns and v treatments are in an SBIBD arrangement with parameters v=b, k=r, and λ.

近代巴蜀诗人李士棻曾被曾国藩誉为“太白醉魂”,为曾府门下“四川三李”之一,其诗作有浓郁的巴蜀文化特色。然李氏仕宦不显,长期以来学界对其关注不足,学界近年不多的相关研究,多围绕国内所存的文献,对其诗歌创作进行艺术分析,对诗人的生平介绍多简单略过,没有严谨的考证,目前仍然很有争议。通过搜罗国内外现存典籍,综合目前所见李士棻本人著述,辅以晚清近代重要报刊《申报》和与李氏有交往的朝鲜文人文献,考证其生卒年及别号,冀为今后的相关研究解决基础问题。

针对东华理工大学二本三本计算机类专业的培养目标及“计算机组成原理”课程教学内容的特点,结合教学经验及教学实践和探索,提出方框图语言在该课程教学中的意义、特点,并给出其符号定义及表示方法.通过“计算机组成原理”课程教学各知识点的教学实例,详细描述如何将方框图语言运用在该课程教学的教学设计及教学过程当中.方框图语言不仅对计算机组成原理及相关课程的教学有益,对其他课程的教学同样具有实践指导意义.
