Sociocultural Contexts of Time to First Sex Among Hispanic Adolescents

This investigation examines the sociocultural influences on risk of first sex among a representative sample of Hispanic (primarily of Mexican origin) teens living in Los Angeles County. Teen acculturation (measured as language of interview) moderates the effects of gender on risk of sex, with less acculturated teens exhibiting the greatest gender difference. Teens living with both biological parents have significantly lower risk of sex and the effect of family acculturation (measured as generational status) operates through teens' language of interview. Neither measure of parent‐youth relationship (socioemotional support, parental control) is significant. Hispanic teens living in low‐density Hispanic neighborhoods have significantly higher risk of sex than do teens living in neighborhoods with higher levels of ambient hazards. The results highlight the importance of characterizing sociocultural influences at multiple levels of aggregation.

行政特许权作为国外矿业管理基本方式的主要功能是矿业社会化.矿山企业利用互有资源体的优先、强势使用而容易产生经济负外部性,必须由政府进行严格而直接的事先管制,以保障所有权社会功能的发挥.在我国,行政特许的主要功能是分配稀缺资源.稀缺的矿产资源由行政机关根据权力的含量而不是价格的信号在市场外配置.对比中,能认识到我国行政特许权设置的错位和缺位,权利滥用、部门法封闭、特许物权设置、诸法合体是其主要原因.公权力职能转变、法制统一、目标明确是改革的关键.     

当代西藏米林珞巴族社会变迁的人类学考察

改革开放以来,西藏米林珞巴族的社会文化发生了巨大变化,这是我国实行民族区域自治制度下珞巴族与藏族及其他民族密切交流的结果。从文化人类学角度考察这种文化变迁,采用文化功能和变迁的理论客观描述珞巴族文化变迁现状,勾勒珞、藏文化涵化的过程,同时提出珞巴族传统文化的现代适应机制,探讨在保存珞巴族最具特色的传统文化的基础上,如何有效地促进珞巴族社会文化发展的方法。     

核电企业核安全文化主动涵化评价方法的研究

核安全文化是核电企业文化的重要组成部分,文章主要结合我国《核安全文化政策声明》中的要求研究核安全文化的主动涵化过程,并分析核安全文化的主要特征,提出核安全文化主动涵化评价指标和评价方法(ZXW法),这对核电企业的核安全文化建设具有一定的指导作用。     

Parents Beyond Borders: A Social Group Work Curriculum for Supporting Immigrant Parents and Building Solidarity

Parents Beyond Borders, a curriculum first implemented in 2008 as part of The Center for Family Life's ParentShip Program, encourages group members to create a shared narrative about their traumatic immigration experiences. The result is twofold. First, immigrant parents gain a more assertive and poignant voice to communicate with family and others in their lives when sharing their family's acculturation experience. Second, because social group work promotes recognition of collective trauma due to the community's experience of marginalization, it improves members' group self-concept and empowers them to take action and advocate for themselves.     

交际文化的结构分析与教学体系建构

随着国际交流的日益加深，传统的纯语言知识和能力的教育已远远不能满足未来发展的需要，高素质即跨文化交际水平的培养将成为外语教学的最终目的。在这种情况下，就迫切需要有相应的教学模式作为理论指导，建构切实可行的教学体系来培养学生的目的语文化交际能力，这正是推动我国外语教学研究的一个强大动力。     

The origins, early development and status of Bourdieu's concept of 'cultural capital'

The paper examines the context of the first introduction of the concept of 'cultural capital' in the sociology of education analyses undertaken in the early 1960s and published by Bourdieu in collaboration with Jean-Claude Passeron in 'Les etudiants et leurs etudes' (1964a) and Les Heritiers (1964b). It first considers the cultural contexts within which Bourdieu's thinking about culture originated--both in relation to his social origins and in relation to his intellectual training. It then examines the extent to which Bourdieu's early anthropological research in Algeria was influenced by his knowledge of American acculturation theory. It concludes that Bourdieu sought to use acculturation theory in a distinctive way--one which he articulated more confidently as he explored the relationship between agency and structural explanation in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The specific educational researches which stimulated the articulation of the concept of 'linguistic' or 'cultural' capital belonged to the period in which Bourdieu was only just beginning to refine his post-structuralist philosophy of social scientific explanation. To use these concepts now involves deploying them reflexively in accordance with Bourdieu's later thinking rather than at face value as they were first developed during the period in which he and Passeron were 'apprentice' researchers.     

民族旅游地居民分类与支持行为： 基于文化适应理论的视角

在民族旅游地的发展中,居民态度及主客之间的关系是旅游产业需要解决的关键问题.基于文化适应理论,通过开发Berry文化适应二维模型,对贵州黔东南黎平肇兴侗寨241位社区居民样本的实证研究显示:旅游情境中,居民在主客跨文化互动中具有整合、同化、分离、边缘四种文化适应类型,并以整合型居多;整合与同化意味着文化适应程度高,分离和边缘意味着文化适应程度低;女性的文化适应程度比男性高;文化适应程度越高的居民对旅游产业的支持度越高,具体而言,文化适应能力较强的居民对旅游者更加热情,也更愿意为目的地进行推荐宣传. 因此,旅游规划和管理部门应重视并着力提升民族旅游地居民在旅游发展中的文化适应能力,使其既能自信地展示和传承民俗文化,又能与旅游者进行热情、友好的互动,从而在文化、经济等层面推动目的地的可持续发展.     

乡村中学生基督徒的文化冲突与文化适应——基于甘肃W村的田野调查

本文通过对甘肃省一个基督徒较为集中的村庄的田野研究, 探讨了乡村中学生基督徒在日常生活和社会化过程中,由于同时接触中国传统文化、基督教文化和科学文化而经历的文化冲突和由此引发的文化适应问题。研究发现,宗教风俗的冲突给中学生基督徒带来的文化冲突较为普遍,不过,中国人集体主义取向的应对模式,“人情”大于“神情”的宗教观,在一定程度上有助于消解这些冲突;对中学生基督徒来说,初中时期是一个转折期,学校主导的科学知识得到更多的认可,对宗教知识产生了疑问,随之信仰产生了分化。     

Understanding Acculturation,Depressive Symptoms,and the Protective Role of Family Involvement Among Latino(a) Immigrant Families

Although the relationship between varying levels of acculturation and depressive symptoms has been established among Latino(a) youth, the positive role of family involvement in relation to depressive symptoms among immigrant Latino(a) families has been studied less. This study draws on a sample of first-generation Latino(a) youth from the Longitudinal Immigrant Student Adaptation Study and explores the relationship between acculturation levels and depressive symptoms, as well as the protective role of family involvement. Although results do not support a relationship between acculturation and depressive symptoms, family involvement was significantly associated with lower depressive symptoms while taking important sociodemographic variables into consideration. Research and practice implications with Latino(a) immigrant families are discussed.
