The University's Role in Promoting Human Rights Through Nurturing Human Diversities

Summary

This qualitative study explored those components that contribute to an atmosphere which promotes and nurtures human diversities at a new expansion campus of a public university. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with a snowball sample of faculty, staff, and administrators who were identified by other participants as having had a positive impact on the creation and maintenance of such an atmosphere. Using grounded theory, a preliminary data analysis indicated a mixed picture of the institution's success at this endeavor. Although many individual and collaborative efforts are already in place, they are not coordinated in any campus-wide manner. Intentional and shared responsibility across the university community was identified as the core component of turning diversity rhetoric into action. Administrative sanction, visibility, and support (modeling) were identified as critical to facilitating the kind of ongoing communication and systematic planning necessary for this intentional effort to succeed.

伴随着市场经济发展而出现的经济利益多元化现象,给思想政治教育的途径与导向带来了严峻挑战,思想政治教育在功能、内容和方法等维度也暴露出诸多问题。新时期的思想政治教育亟待从以上几方面入手,正视挑战,认清问题,探寻对策,实现全面转型与创新。     

The development of intercultural pedagogy and its influences on primary schools: conclusions and perspectives

The integration debate in Germany is closely connected to the education debate. Both are related to recent societal changes. Discussions at the social and political level in the past couple of years have shown how highly emotionally charged attitudes towards migration and integration in this country truly are. This article aims to provide an overview of intercultural developments in German educational contexts, especially those related to primary schools, against the background of societal change. We trace the developments in Germany from foreigner pedagogy and intercultural pedagogy to a pedagogy incorporating antiracism elements and subsequently a pedagogical approach focused on diversity (diversity pedagogy). We conclude that though many gains have been made, there is presently a danger that we will lose sight of cultural heterogeneity as diversity pedagogy in Germany has expanded to incorporate social inclusion.

《华西都市报》和《成都商报》为实现市场分割,在同一城市开展了异质化竞争。从两报有关今年“两会”的报道可见:《华西都市报》比《成都商报》更关注主流资讯;对于同质同源的稿件,两报都能灵活处理标题、版面、图片等以区别于对方报纸;在自主报道中,两报能将报道和各自的受众情况结合起来以避免新闻的同质。但是两报的异质化竞争尚停留在技术性阶段,未形成各自不可取代的优势,属于相对异质化竞争。

在当代审美文化语境下，艺术发生了巨大的变化，为此从共时的角度，分析了当今艺术的嬗变，论述了构成当代审美文化的主旋律审美文化、高雅审美文化、大众通俗审美文化的各自特征以及它们之间的相互关系。由于大众文化的飞速发展，审美文化向日常生活各个领域的广泛渗透，日常生活的审美化成为当今审美文化的主要特征。
