A decomposition technique for quantifying real process performance

A decomposition technique for quantifying the impacts of changes in product mix and process performance on aggregate process-related indicators is presented. Through application of the technique, the real performance of a process can be quantified. Changes in real performance over time can be monitored to provide useful information for process evaluation and production planning. Two case studies, one related to the aggregate defective rate for an assembly line of an integrated circuit fabrication plant and the other to the aggregate inventory turnover for a tyre distribution company, are presented to illustrate the application of the technique.     

Integrated enterprise modelling: A method for the management of change

'The capability to adjust to new conditions quickly has developed into a decisive competitive advantage. You cannot waste any time if you want to be successful.' (Emeritus Professor Dr h. c. mult. Changing conditions in the market place issue new challenges to small- and medium-sized enterprises. Organization and qualification of employees have to be adjusted to the modified situation. If the only steady factor is change, the management of change is going to be the outstanding role of the leader. The successful structuring of change processes requires powerful methods and tools: to make business processes transparent and lean; to find a common 'corporate language' based upon customers benefits and shareholders value; Dr-Ing. G. Spur) to bring together process know-how in a central information base. This contribution summarizes the experiences from several projects. We will show how the synchronization of necessary reengineering measures makes corporate knowledge active, e.g. to improve the shareholders value, reduce investment costs, and shorten the duration of projects. As successful examples two medium-sized companies are described.     

凉山平坝彝族丧葬文化变迁的斜向性结构研究——以喜德大石头和冕宁漫水湾为个案

凉山平坝彝族主要指居住在安宁河流域平坝地区、以种植水稻为生、汉化程度较高的那部分彝族。由于与汉族接触较多,他们在语言、服饰、习俗等方面受汉文化的影响也较深。本文主要以喜德大石头和冕宁漫水湾平坝彝族的丧葬习俗为调查研究对象,在田野调查的基础上,揭示所发生的文化变迁及其影响,并认为:平坝彝族葬俗的变迁并不是单一方面所发生的文化变化,体现出的是文化叠合与文化选择的特质。     

ICT投资、互联网普及和全要素生产率

本文使用DEA-Malmquist指数方法对2002-2012年我国分行业全要素生产率、技术效率与技术进步进行测算,并基于我国地区投入产出表构建了ICT资本投入强度。在此基础上,本文就ICT投资对生产率的影响进行了实证检验。研究发现,ICT投资对全要素生产率提升具有积极作用,并且主要通过ICT投资促进技术效率提升实现。面板门限回归模型的结果显示,只有达到一定互联网普及率时,ICT投资促进技术效率提升的作用才显现,并在高互联网普及率时进一步增强;但在高互联网普及率下,ICT 投资对技术进步存在抑制作用,在全要素生产率层面表现为ICT 投资的促进作用消失。因此,现实的ICT 投资应重视通过信息化管理提升行业资源的有效利用能力,以最大化技术效率对全要素生产率的贡献;应充分考虑不同行业和地区的互联网普及程度,以深度激发“连接经济”对于释放ICT效能的互补性作用;还应注意配套相应产业政策,以减轻互联网发展对技术进步的阻碍作用。

随着社会的变革和发展,传统的教育模式已不能适应时代的要求。现代教育的目标越来越倾向于人才能力的提高和全面素质的增强,而实现这个目标的关键就在于转变传统的教师角色,提高学生自主学习能力。本文将从教师角色的转变等方面对提高学生自主学习能力的途径进行探讨。     

唐寅与弘治己未春闱案的文学史影响

弘治己未春闱案由风闻而起,以莫须有了结,又引起了日后的流言四起。在对该案的种种记载与议论中,唐寅成了关注的焦点,博得了广泛的同情,并使这一事件染上了传奇色彩。案件的文学史意义在于激发了唐寅的"中年转变",使他开辟了人生与艺术创作的新天地;同时又在明中叶诗文革新的关节点上,因唐寅而导致了吴中诗坛复古集团的解体。     

台湾中部的移民和家庭变迁

在20世纪50和60年代，尽管扩展家庭作为传统理想家庭仍然在台湾受到广泛的推崇。但城市里更多的经济机会吸引了台湾中部的移民从农村涌向城市。虽然移民比以前有更多的机会生活在扩展家庭中，但是他们比非移民更倾向于携妻挈子早些离开出生家庭，而且趋向于认为兄弟关系不如夫妻关系来得重要。数据显示，一个男性移民的兄弟人数、排行、家庭经济背景等都影响着他迁往城市的机率，而且迁移并未完全阻断移民与移出家庭之间的联系。     

Monitoring Change in Persistence Against the Null of Difference-Stationarity in Infinite Variance Observations

In this article, we propose a moving kernel-weighted variance ratio statistic to monitor persistence change in infinite variance observations. We focus on I(1) to I(0) persistence change for sequences in the domain of attraction of a stable law and local-to-finite variance sequences. The null distribution of the monitoring statistic and its consistency are proved. In particular, a bootstrap procedure is proposed to determine the critical values for the derived asymptotic distribution depends on unknown tail index. The small sample performances of proposed monitoring procedure are illustrated by both simulation and application to a high frequency financial data.
