Reliability acceptance sampling plans for the Weibull distribution under accelerated Type-I censoring

Type-I censored reliability acceptance sampling plans (RASPs) are developed for the Weibull lifetime distribution with unknown shape and scale parameters such that the producer and consumer risks are satisfied. It is assumed that the life test is conducted at an accelerated condition for which the acceleration factor (AF) is known, and each item is continuously monitored for failure. Sensitivity analyses are also conducted to assess the effect of the uncertainty in the assumed AF on the actual producer and consumer risks, and a method is developed for constructing RASPs that can accommodate the uncertainty in AF.     

On the stability of the risk hull method for projection estimators

We consider in this paper the regularization by projection of a linear inverse problem Y=Af+εξ$Y=\mathit{Af}+\epsilon \xi$ where ξ$\xi$ denotes a Gaussian white noise, A   a compact operator and ε>0$\epsilon >0$ a noise level. Compared to the standard unbiased risk estimation (URE) method, the risk hull minimization (RHM) procedure presents a very interesting numerical behavior. However, the regularization in the singular value decomposition setting requires the knowledge of the eigenvalues of A$A$. Here, we deal with noisy eigenvalues: only observations on this sequence are available. We study the efficiency of the RHM method in this situation. More generally, we shed light on some properties usually related to the regularization with a noisy operator.     

Measuring people's trust

Summary. We measure trust and trustworthiness in British society with a newly designed experiment using real monetary rewards and a sample of the British population. The study also asks the typical survey question that aims to measure trust, showing that it does not predict 'trust' as measured in the experiment. Overall, about 40% of people were willing to trust a stranger in our experiment, and their trust was rewarded half of the time. Analysis of variation in the trust behaviour in our survey suggests that trusting is more likely if people are older, their financial situation is either 'comfortable' or 'difficult' compared with 'doing alright' or 'just getting by', they are a homeowner or they are divorced, separated or never married compared with those who are married or cohabiting. Trustworthiness also is more likely among subjects who are divorced or separated relative to those who are married or cohabiting, and less likely among subjects who perceive their financial situation as 'just getting by' or 'difficult'. We also analyse the effect of attitudes towards risks on trust.

通过对新中国六十年红学研究的回顾与反思,可以发现社会历史批评派、索隐派、考证派等诸种学派的学术特征以及"泛文化"倾向在红学中的表现,在指认上述批评范式不同程度遮蔽了<红楼梦>审美视线因而其诠释维度有限的同时,也应当肯定它们在红学发展史上曾起过的作用,由此可以对红学的突破契机、发展前景进行期待性的展望.     

循环经济背景下企业投资的贴现因子的研究

文章基于传统耐心模型框架,针对企业投资行为带来的环境污染的影响,对相关参与人——政府和企业的耐心进行了分析,分别得出了政府和企业一次和多次博弈的收益贴现,并对政府和企业的收益贴现因子的影响因素进行了分析,为投资行为造成的环境污染治理提出了一些可供参考的解决的方法。     

Life satisfaction and family structure among adolescents in Hong Kong

Relationships between family structure and perceived life satisfaction in overall life and five domains of the Brief Multidimensional Students’ Life Satisfaction Scale, family life, friendships, school experience, myself, and where I live were examined among 4,502 Chinese adolescent secondary school students in Hong Kong. Bivariate analyses showed that economic status was not a significant risk factor, but gender, level of study, and migrant status had to be controlled to examine the life satisfaction-family structure relations. Logistic regression analyses found that in overall life, with adolescents living with two parents as standard for comparisons, adolescents living with mother had similar life satisfaction, but those living with father only, and those with no parents, or single parent with other adults had very much higher risk of life dissatisfaction. Specifically, the risks associated with the adverse family structures were most excessive in the domain of ‘family life’.     

劳动力市场分割对农村流动劳动力收入水平的影响——来自甘肃省十个样本村的调查与争析

近年来,劳动力外出务工已成为农民增收的一个重要途径。农村流动劳动力作为一个特殊群体,影响其收入的因素既具有居民收入的一般规律。又具有其特殊性。现有的研究一般以传统人力资本理论和收入均等化理论等为基础,来分析农村流动劳动力收入水平的影响因素。本文以甘肃省农村流动劳动力的调查数据为样本,试图从流动劳动力的人口学特征、就职行业、流动去向及工作稳定性等四个方面分析劳动力市场分割对农民工收入水平的影响。     

我国少数民族构成要素的因子分析

本文用总人口、自治地方本民族人口、自治地方少数民族人口、人均GDP、农业人口、识字人口、在校生、母语人、单语人、双语人人数等 10项指标作为民族的地区、经济、教育和语言构成要素 ,对这些要素在我国现有少数民族中的构成情况作了描述、相关和因子提取等统计分析 ,以说明目前我国少数民族构成的基本社会状况 ,以及这些要素对少数民族整体和个体的构成的作用或代表的信息量有多大。文章还依据已有的经验知识对统计分析结果作了相应的说明和解释。结论是 ,目前我国少数民族之间的区别特征主要在于经济发展水平、人口的教育水平、居住地区、使用语言等方面的社会差别 ;但是从发展趋势看 ,传统意义上的各民族构成要素的作用将逐渐减弱 ,民族间的差别将逐渐缩小
