渴求新知与崇尚传统——李叔同"学堂乐歌"创作的文化取向及其意义

李叔同的“学堂乐歌”创作是一种“别求新声”的现代追求;是一种不失传统的现代创新。他要借助西方的美学情调,推崇中国的精神内核。他的歌词创作未完成文学语言由古代韵文向现代白话的彻底转变,但从形式上打破了旧韵文的传统格局,而且创造性地运用了古代词牌长短句的特点,在形式上又发展了现代长短句歌词的新品种,并依照西洋乐曲形成了自己崭新的结构。他在用西方音乐形式与“本国语言”向人们诉说最深沉的感情的同时,也展示了“学堂乐歌”民族性与现代性相融合的特征。     

Child custody issues and co‐occurrence of intimate partner violence and child maltreatment: controversies and points of agreement amongst practitioners

The situation of families undergoing separation in a context of co‐occurrence of intimate partner violence (IPV) and child maltreatment raises certain issues related to child custody. The results presented in this paper were collected and analysed within the framework of a qualitative study aiming to identify the principal points of agreement and the main controversies amongst practitioners in several different types of organizations. Focus groups were held with a total of 43 practitioners from six different settings concerned with child custody in cases of co‐occurrence of IPV and child maltreatment. Although they agreed on the importance of ensuring the safety of victims of violence, their views diverged on three points: (1) the importance of preserving the father–child relationship; (2) collaboration between voluntary organizations and semi‐voluntary or legal agencies; and (3) consideration of cultural differences.     

工科院校社会工作专业教育存在的困境与办学特色探讨

社会工作专业教育自20世纪80年代末期在我国设立以来,在经历了前十几年缓慢发展以后,最近几年进入了一个快速扩张时期,国内高校尤其工科院校开办社会工作专业的数量成倍增加。社会工作注重应用性、实践性和操作性的特点与很多工科院校或以有工科背景的综合性大学的办学方针不谋而合。社会工作专业教育在取得了一定的成绩和研究成果的同时,也不难发现在其发展过程中存在不少的问题。把社会工作专业办成工科院校的亮点和特色,就要在办学过程中充分体现工科院校的应用型定位。     

孙悟空的名号与《西游记》的主旨

《西游记》中,孙悟空的名号有一个美猴王-孙悟空-弼马温-齐天大圣-孙行者-斗战胜佛的变化,亦可称之为心与魔之间相交的变化。二者相交反映着孙悟空的心路历程,即求心-束心-放心-收心-正心的过程,而这也正是小说的主旨。且心魔相交之说在《西游记》主旨探求过程中始终是一条重要支脉而延绵不断,这与晚明大行其道的心学思潮有着紧密关联。     

Exposure to occupational violence and the buffering effects of intra-oranizational support

This paper presents a conceptually distinct analysis of the data first reported by Leather et al. Specifically, it investigates the effects of exposure to a variety of forms of work-related violence upon work attitudes and general well-being within a sample of UK public house licensees—individuals who manage public houses and hold the licence permitting the sale of alcoholic drinks on the premises. In addition, it examines the role of social support in moderating such effects. Based upon a sample of 242 licensees, it reports a consistent interaction between exposure to such violence and the availability of perceived intra-organizational support in determining the size of any negative effects upon individual well-being, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. It is argued that exposure to all forms of work-related violence, including intimidation, verbal abuse and threat, should be seen as a potential stressor within the work environment, the negative effects of which are buffered by perceived support from within the organization, but not by that perceived to be available from informal sources such as family and friends.     

The limitations of using school league tables to inform school choice

Summary. In England, so-called 'league tables' based on examination results and test scores are published annually, ostensibly to inform parental choice of secondary schools. A crucial limitation of these tables is that the most recent published information is based on the current performance of a cohort of pupils who entered secondary schools several years earlier, whereas for choosing a school it is the future performance of the current cohort that is of interest. We show that there is substantial uncertainty in predicting such future performance and that incorporating this uncertainty leads to a situation where only a handful of schools' future performances can be separated from both the overall mean and from one another with an acceptable degree of precision. This suggests that school league tables, including value-added tables, have very little to offer as guides to school choice.     

Designing for “touch”, “reach” and “movement” in postwar (1946–1972) English primary and infant school environments

ABSTRACT

This article examines the use and interpretation of the terms “touch”, “reach” and “movement” in Ministry of Education (later, Department of Education) official publications known as Building Bulletins between the years 1949–1972. A close critical reading of Building Bulletins concerned primarily with school design for young children (infant and primary schools) in the English context has been carried out and the results of this exercise are discussed in the wider context of close relationships established between architects designing schools and leading progressive educationalists in Britain. The wider international context, particularly progressive educational design in the USA, is used to further understand the use and interpretation of these terms. The article contributes to a current interest among historians of education in exploring material and sensory histories of schooling.     

Family violence laws: Traditional narratives and the (in)visibility of lesbian relationships and lesbian-parented families

Abstract

Feminist advocacy and activism over the last 40 years broke historic ground in shining a light on “domestic” or “family” violence, traditionally conceptualized as male violence against female intimate partners and their children. This has resulted in a large body of research, particularly in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and similar jurisdictions, around the gendered nature of family violence and violence within heterosexual relationships and heterosexual-parented families. As a consequence, the predominant narrative—in political, policy, and advocacy settings—is largely heteronormative. Less research has focused on family violence in non-heterosexual relationships. The data that do exist have employed different methodological approaches and there are limitations on the extent to which they can be compared to the data on violence within heterosexual relationships. However, the existing research does demonstrate that family violence within lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) communities is a significant issue. Even so, the current narrative does not acknowledge this, and predominantly reflects heterosexual norms of intimate relationships and family structures in society. LGBTI relationships are described as “invisible” in policy and practice responses to family violence, due to the failure to acknowledge violence in such communities. This article explores these claims in relation to lesbian relationships in the context of Australian legislative responses to family violence. It considers the extent to which family violence laws in two Australian jurisdictions recognize and frame lesbian identity in intimate relationships and lesbian-parented families. This is considered in light of the emerging conceptualization of family violence in lesbian relationships and lesbian-parented families, as evidenced by the wider scholarly literature on the nature and dynamics of such violence.

虎嵩山 (1 879- 1 956)是中国著名的伊斯兰教经学家 ,著名阿洪。在 2 0世纪 30— 40年代期间 ,他曾经在穆斯林聚居的宁夏省 ,与当时行政长官马鸿逵 (1 892 - 1 970 ,回族 )曾经 3次合作 ,筹办建立了“宁夏私立中阿学校”、“吴忠中阿师范学校”等中阿兼授的伊斯兰文化学校。这些学校的创办 ,为宁夏的回族教育、文化及出版业的发展 ,造就了一大批中阿兼通的回族人才 ,在宁夏和西北地区产生了深远的影响
