约瑟夫·康拉德小说地理空间研究述评

地理空间作为人类生存的最基本条件之一,是包含着人类社会种种权力关系、利益关系以及层级差别的一个集合体。而表现人类价值判断的文学作品自然也附带了这种集合体的特质。波兰裔英国作家康拉德生平的地理空间跨度注定了其小说中的地理空间叙述不只是故事发生与存在的先在条件,更是一种价值取向。以分析与借鉴以往康拉德小说研究成果为契机,尝试着从空间批评与文学地理学批评来重新审视康拉德小说的内涵意义,探讨康拉德作品如何通过地理空间叙述系统来表达意识形态、权力机制以及身份特征等多维层面。     

试析朝鲜战争时期美军意识形态的强化灌输

朝鲜战争是美军历史上第一场以意识形态为分界线进行的战争,军方政治宣传机构在战争中受到了前所未有的重视,其职能也由鼓舞军心士气向宣扬美国价值观,炮制反共宣传转变。从美军官兵的反响来看,单纯以思想控制为目的的政治灌输并未收到显著效果,但它应被视为冷战时期美军思想政治工作的发端,意识形态领域的敌对宣传在冷战实践中得到不断强化和完善。     

论魏晋南朝的忠孝实践——以阳翟褚氏为例

忠孝取舍孰先孰后在魏晋南朝时期有一个演变的过程,弃忠从孝是当时社会的趋势和需要。阳翟褚氏在这一时期屡屡背信弃义违背＂忠＂的道德却又信守家族＂孝＂的传统,是当时忠孝实践观的集中代表。     

A hierarchy of lorenz curves based on the generalized tukey's lambda distribution

A hierarchy of Lorenz curves based on the generalized Tukey's Lambda distribution is proposed. Representations of the corresponding distribution and density function are also provided, together with popular inequality measures. Estimation methods are suggested. Finally, a comparison with other parametric families of Lorenz curves is established.     

Extreme probabilities for contingency tables under row and column independence with application to fisher's exact test

Theorerms are proved for the maxima and minima of IIR_i!/IIC_j!/T!II_yij ! over r× c contingcncy tables Y=(y_ij) with row sums R₁,…,R_r, column sums C₁,…,C_c, and grand total T. These results are imlplemented into the network algorithm of Mehta and Patel (1983) for computing the P-value of Fisher's exact test for unordered r×c contingency tables. The decrease in the amount of computing time can be substantial when the column sums are very different.

主流价值观的差异决定社会治理模式不同,而经济管理手段是由社会治理模式来决定的。冷战思维是2008年国际金融危机的重要成因之一,它继承着资本主义同盟的冷战任务、在全球扩展资本主义意识形态的民主价值观、遏制和消灭社会主义的发展模式。冷战思维在两个层次影响国际金融:第一,对异质发展模式的敌视,加剧了国际政治经济运行的动荡;第二,对社会进行新自由主义的治理与经济管理,致使金融危机难以避免。

F, an estimator T* = T*(X₁,X₂...X_n)of the q-th quantile of the distribution F is constructed such that P_F{\F(T*)-q\ <[d] \F(T)-q\} >[d] 1/2 for all F?F and for all T€T, where F is a nonparametric family of distributions and T is a class of estimators. It is shown that T* =X_j:n'for a suitably chosen jth order statistic.

Experiences of Custody Evaluation: Perspectives of Young Adults Who Were the Subject of Family Court Proceedings as Children

ABSTRACT

Court-ordered custody evaluations are conducted primarily to assist courts in making decisions regarding the best interests of children in the context of parental disputes over custody and access. They also represent the most common means through which children's wishes in relation to custody and access are presented as evidence. This article reports on a qualitative research study of young adults' recollections of participating in custody evaluations ordered by the Family Court of Australia. In-depth interviews were conducted with 18 young adults, aged 18 to 26. Two major areas of inquiry are addressed in this article: (1) participants' recollections of interviews conducted by social workers and psychologists for the purpose of custody evaluation, and (2) their suggestions for ways in which professionals working with children in this context might make the process easier for children. Taken together, their experiences point to some useful principles for practice in this field.
