儒家推崇的政治文明形态初探

政治文明虽然在近代才明确提出 ,但政治文明的构想和实践从产生阶级以来就不乏探索者 ,儒家就是这些探索者中的杰出代表。笔者认为 ,儒家所推崇的政治文明形态包括 :圣人治世 ;王者施行仁政 ;“民为贵”的民本思想。儒家对政治文明形态的研究成果在当代仍然具有重要的参考价值     

"花边文学"事件与两种民族主义

花边文学事件发生在1934年,鲁迅将其理解为来自左翼内部的故意的暗箭,当事人廖沫沙在文革和晚年时均解释为不知内情的误伤.从一个角度看,廖的解释虽具权威性,却也不免留下疑窦;从另一个角度看,误伤说本身就是通过曲折的途径企图还原历史真实的努力.而如果将其置放在20世纪中国现代复杂悖谬的历史和精神史背景中加以观察,就会进一步跳出对个人责任的无谓归咎,而将其视为两种不同的民族主义的冲突和中国现代性内部的一种紧张状态的结果.有意无意的,这也是左翼文化内部两种不同的发展脉络在民族主义问题上的交锋.     

‘Paradoxical’ decline? Another look at the relative reduction in female happiness

In a provocative paper, Stevenson and Wolfers (2009) provide evidence that women over the last several decades experienced an absolute and relative decline in happiness. The current paper draws upon novel data from the DDB Needham Life Style Survey to take another look at the evolution of women’s subjective well-being. In contrast to Stevenson and Wolfers, I find that men and women between 1985 and 2005 experienced similar decreases in life satisfaction. Furthermore, both sexes witnessed comparable slippages in self-confidence, growing regrets about the past, and declines in virtually every measure of self-reported physical and mental health. The data also show that men’s well-being in recent years has begun to fall more rapidly than that for women. In the final section of the paper, I present some initial evidence that the steady erosion in social and civic engagement, interpersonal trust, and financial security could be partially responsible for the widespread decline in subjective well-being over the past few decades.     

Transitions in the Labour Market: Discouragement Effect and Individual Characteristics

The present work analyses the unemployment gender gap in Italy for the period 2004–11. We present a methodology for decomposing the natural rate of unemployment, thus defining it in terms of equilibrium labour market flows between the aggregate states of the labour market (Employment, Unemployment, Inactivity). In addition, we offer estimates of the determinants of the unemployment gender gap to pinpoint the relative role of individual characteristics and structural factors in determining this difference.     

MATERIALS PRICES AND PRODUCTIVITY

There is substantial within‐industry variation in the prices that plants pay for their material inputs. Using plant‐level data from the US Census Bureau, I explore the consequences and sources of this variation in materials prices. For a sample of industries with relatively homogeneous products, the standard deviation of plant‐level productivity would be 7% smaller if all plants faced the same materials prices. Moreover, plant‐level materials prices are persistent, spatially correlated, and positively associated with the probability of exit. The contribution of entry and exit to aggregate productivity growth is smaller for productivity measures that are purged of materials price variation. After documenting these patterns, I discuss three potential sources of materials price variation: geography, differences in suppliers' marginal costs, and within‐supplier markup differences. Together, these variables explain 15% of the variation of materials prices.     

THE RISE OF THE EAST AND THE FAR EAST: GERMAN LABOR MARKETS AND TRADE INTEGRATION

We analyze the effects of the unprecedented rise in trade between Germany and “the East” (China and Eastern Europe) in the period 1988–2008 on German local labor markets. Using detailed administrative data, we exploit the cross‐regional variation in initial industry structures and use trade flows of other high‐income countries as instruments for regional import and export exposure. We find that the rise of the East in the world economy caused substantial job losses in German regions specialized in import‐competing industries, both in manufacturing and beyond. Regions specialized in export‐oriented industries, however, experienced even stronger employment gains and lower unemployment. In the aggregate, we estimate that this trade integration has caused some 442,000 additional jobs in the economy and contributed to retaining the manufacturing sector in Germany. This is almost exclusively driven by the rise of Eastern Europe, not by China. We also conduct an analysis at the individual worker level, and find that trade had a stabilizing overall effect on employment relationships.

关于大学生个性特点的调查

为使学生工作更加具有科学性、针对性、预见性和实效性,同时为给学生建立心理档案,我们对国际交流学院全体学生进行了卡特尔16PF问卷调查。结果表明:不同性别、不同专业在乐群性、稳定性、有恒性和怀疑性等4方面存在显著差异,不同年级在有恒性、敏感性和怀疑性等3方面存在显著差异。     

对我国刑法第343条之思考——非法采矿罪与破坏性采矿罪立法之修改建议

我国刑法第343条对非法采矿罪和破坏性采矿罪做了规定,为打击破坏矿产资源的犯罪行为提供了有力的法律依据,但由于其在罪状及法定刑设定上存在的一些问题,使得两罪界限不清,引起理论上的一些不必要的争论和司法实践上的模糊,建议应对该法条进行适当的修改.
