中国古代南北文化特色论

中国古代地大物博,早以埋下南北文化不同的种子;在南北朝分而治之后,南北文化的地域特色不断趋于凸显。《北史》《隋书》论南北文章、学术的不同宗尚,明代董其昌论画分“南北二宗”,徐渭论曲分“南曲北调”,清代阮元、包世臣、刘熙载、康有为论书分南北派,梁启超总结、纵论“中国地理”决定的南北文化、艺术之“大势”,等等,形成了中国古代丰富的南北文化特色论,对于当下的地域文化研究不无参考价值。     

The Movement Beyond (Lifestyle) Migration: Mobile Practices and the Constitution of a Better Way of Life

Abstract

This article revisits my ethnography of the British in rural France to question how mobility in post‐migration life was deemed intrinsic to the better way of life that they sought through their migration. Through the exploration of the migrants’ everyday lives, I reveal that the migrants’ mobile practices and their expectations of mobility contributed towards the perceived success of their new lives and were thus significant to the ongoing process getting to a better way of life. Beyond this example, the article also demonstrates how the findings of mobilities researchers may be mobilized in traditional anthropological fieldwork.     

论宋代游宦文人对桂林山水文化发展的贡献

宋代游宦文人对桂林的山水文化发展有着重大贡献,他们通过写诗著文,撰述志书、笔记,歌咏、记录桂林山水风光;或者修筑人文景观,崖壁题刻等文化活动,赋予桂林山水深厚的人文内涵,并进一步发现其地位和价值,为之赢来“甲天下”的盛名。     

中国江湖文化的变迁——以《水浒传》、《阿Q正传》和《兄弟》为例

江湖文化是中国的特色文化,影响着中国人的生活习惯和思维方式。《水浒传》、《阿Q正传》和《兄弟》这三部现实主义色彩浓厚的小说作品中关于古代、近代和当代的江湖以及江湖文化的真实描绘,客观上反映了中国江湖和江湖文化从古代经近代到当代的变迁过程及其基本轨迹：江湖从显形到隐形再到无形,江湖文化从隐性到显性再到“普泛化”;同时也揭示了深刻影响江湖文化发生变迁的三大因素：社会体制、民众认识和江湖文化自身的生命力。     

英国涉海文学与帝国建构的关系

英帝国肇始阶段,涉海文学提出“人口过剩”及如何建立“海上帝国”等主张,从理论上探索英国向外扩张的必要性和可能性。帝国上升时期,涉海文学通过鲁滨孙等殖民者的海外垦殖实践,为英国民众勾画帝国构建的基本路径。英国攫取世界霸权以后,涉海文学则为帝国价值观念和统治秩序进行合法化辩护。英国涉海文学由此实现从文化叙事向政治功能的转变,从文本和意识形态层面参与了帝国构建。     

Do maternal health problems influence child's worrying status? Evidence from the British Cohort Study

Conventional methods apply symmetric prior distributions such as a normal distribution or a Laplace distribution for regression coefficients, which may be suitable for median regression and exhibit no robustness to outliers. This work develops a quantile regression on linear panel data model without heterogeneity from a Bayesian point of view, i.e. upon a location-scale mixture representation of the asymmetric Laplace error distribution, and provides how the posterior distribution is summarized using Markov chain Monte Carlo methods. Applying this approach to the 1970 British Cohort Study (BCS) data, it finds that a different maternal health problem has different influence on child's worrying status at different quantiles. In addition, applying stochastic search variable selection for maternal health problems to the 1970 BCS data, it finds that maternal nervous breakdown, among the 25 maternal health problems, contributes most to influence the child's worrying status.     

Sustaining the Benefits of a Quality Initiative through Cooperative Values: A Longitudinal Study

Although research has shown that organizational cultural values influence the success of quality initiatives, how and when cultural values are influential is unclear. This longitudinal study asserts that quality management should be viewed from a dynamic perspective to better understand the role of cooperative cultural values in a quality initiative. We use a multilevel model of quality management, and develop time‐oriented hypotheses using a sociotechnical systems perspective to examine the role of cooperative values. Our analysis uses longitudinal data from over 30 U.S. federal government agencies, collected during an enterprise‐wide quality initiative. We find that, over time, the influence of organization‐level quality practices diminishes, but the influence of cooperative values increases; workgroup‐level quality practices remain consistently important. Our findings reveal the unexplored influences of cooperative values to sustain the benefits of quality management.     

Managing Employee Compliance with Information Security Policies: The Critical Role of Top Management and Organizational Culture*

We develop an individual behavioral model that integrates the role of top management and organizational culture into the theory of planned behavior in an attempt to better understand how top management can influence security compliance behavior of employees. Using survey data and structural equation modeling, we test hypotheses on the relationships among top management participation, organizational culture, and key determinants of employee compliance with information security policies. We find that top management participation in information security initiatives has significant direct and indirect influences on employees’ attitudes towards, subjective norm of, and perceived behavioral control over compliance with information security policies. We also find that the top management participation strongly influences organizational culture which in turn impacts employees’ attitudes towards and perceived behavioral control over compliance with information security policies. Furthermore, we find that the effects of top management participation and organizational culture on employee behavioral intentions are fully mediated by employee cognitive beliefs about compliance with information security policies. Our findings extend information security research literature by showing how top management can play a proactive role in shaping employee compliance behavior in addition to the deterrence oriented remedies advocated in the extant literature. Our findings also refine the theories about the role of organizational culture in shaping employee compliance behavior. Significant theoretical and practical implications of these findings are discussed.

清代官服的文化意蕴探析

仪礼功能是清代官服的主要功能。清代官服以儒学为灵魂,以满族服饰风格为形式,既蕴涵汉族传统文化,也继承满族游牧文化传统,体现儒、道、佛各家的思想,是民族融合与保留民族传统文化特色的典型代表。清代官服表明清朝统治者既不墨守成规、顽固守旧,也不对本民族文化完全否定,是满族对本民族文化尊重与自信的体现。
