东亚乡村振兴社会政策比较研究断想

作为典型的后发外生型现代化模式,东亚各国在努力追求和实现工业化、城市化的同时,也特别注意城乡社会的均衡发展,先后推出了系统的乡村振兴社会政策。 但在以往的研究中,学界一般都是循着国别路径展开的,多注重研究中日韩等国乡村振兴的相关政策提出及实施,而没有从比较社会政策的视角展开总体性比较研究。 故结合东亚主要国家工业化、城市化变迁进程中乡村振兴的社会政策实践,展开总体性的比较研究,深入挖掘政策出台的历史背景,分析解读政策文本的内涵,并注意政策文本之间的复杂关联,以实现对东亚乡村振兴社会政策的总体性研究提炼,为当下正在展开的中国乡村振兴战略提供有益的借鉴。     

Finite Sample Performance of tests for Symmetry of the Errors in a Linear Model

The finite sample performance of a number of tests for symmetry of the distribution of the errors of a linear model is considered. The first family of tests is based on the discrepancy between two regression fits. The first fit is appropriate under symmetric errors while the second is appropriate for skewed as well as symmetric error distributions. The second family of procedures consists of tests for the univariate symmetry problem. Thus, in the linear model setting these tests are based on residuals. An extensive empirical study of the finite sample, null behavior of the tests is presented. The results of a power comparison among the tests is also discussed.     

Ethnic intermarriage in longitudinal perspective: Testing structural and cultural explanations in the United States, 1880–2011

Focusing on macro-level processes, this article combines Decennial Census and Current Population Survey data to simultaneously test longitudinal and cross-sectional effects on ethnic intermarriage using structural and cultural explanations. Covering a 130 year period, the results of our multilevel analysis for 140 national-origin groups indicate that structural characteristics explain why some origin groups become more “open” over time while others remain relatively “closed”. Ethnic intermarriage is more likely to increase over time when the relative size of an immigrant group decreases, sex ratios grow more imbalanced, the origin group grows more diverse, the size of the third generation increases and social structural consolidation decreases. Cultural explanations also play a role suggesting that an origin group’s exogamous behavior in the past exerts long-term effects and exogamous practices increase over time when the prevalence of early marriage customs declines. For some of the discussed determinants of intermarriage, longitudinal and cross-sectional effects differ calling for a more careful theorizing and testing in terms of the level of analysis (e.g., longitudinal vs. cross-sectional).

白寿彝先生的治学与他的中国通史编纂

白寿彝先生在历史学的许多领域都取得了卓越的成就,晚年主要集中在回族史、中国史学史、中国通史等方面,并表现出总结性、成熟性和继续创新性三个特点。其中中国通史在他的学术规模中居于核心的地位,是他一生研究历史学的最高追求。他带领国内史学家,历20个春秋,终于完成体裁新颖的多卷本中国通史,实现了一个世纪中国史家的愿望,把自己的学术事业推向了辉煌的最高点。     

浅谈伊斯兰文化的研究方法

所谓伊斯兰文化的研究方法,是指正确地进行伊斯兰文化研究所应遵循的一套原则、手段、程序和技巧。研究方法在伊斯兰文化的发展过程中承担着特别重要的职能,它在一定程度上制约、规范着伊斯兰文化发展的水平和风格。没有成熟、科学的研究方法,就不会产生成熟、发达的伊斯兰文化。就伊斯兰文化的研究方法,我们有两点拙见,把它说出来,以求教学人。 首先,摆正伊斯兰与伊斯兰文化的关系。伊斯兰文化作为一种宗教文化实体,与伊斯兰密不可分,互为依托。按照伊斯兰的基本教义,伊斯兰是安拉的意志,通过《古兰经》和圣训得以具体体现。两者是伊斯兰教的基础和最基本的经典,是伊斯兰国家信仰原则、哲学思想、政治经济、法律创制和司法实践的权威准则和第一源泉。而伊斯兰文化是由阿拉伯民族和穆斯林各民族在社会历史实践中共同参与创造     

从《文心雕龙》“由内及外”的思维方式看其礼学蕴涵

刘勰《文心雕龙》无论是对理论体系的设置,还是对具体问题的论述,或是对总纲五篇的排序,抑或是用“文心”来为全书命名,均体现出一种由内及外的思维方式。而归根结底,这种思维方式源于南朝礼学,所以《文心雕龙》与礼学在思维方式层面具有鲜明的异质同构性。刘勰的思想精神与立身行事体现出其积极入世的儒家情怀,彰显出对礼学的热衷推崇,可以说进行礼学批评是其撰写《文心雕龙》的一个动机,以此敷赞圣旨,进而谋求仕进。因此,《文心雕龙》彰显出浓厚的礼学思想特色,具有深厚的礼学蕴涵,由内及外的思维方式正是其礼学蕴涵的表现之一。     

积极心理学视角下大学生心理健康教育实效性研究

积极心理学是当今时代下心理学界所兴起的一种全新的研究领域,并在一定程度上应用到了大学的心理健康教育当中,从而能够在一定程度上,增加教育的时效性。通过积极心理学的教学观念,将心理学视角下的健康教育深入大学生的日常教学当中,进而能够深入挖掘以及培养大学生的积极心理品质,全面优化大学生的心理教育的环境,进而用更加先进的积极心理学理念,指导并帮助大学生构建更加完善的心理观念。     

Migration Decisions of Dual-earner Families: An Application of Multilevel Modeling

A comprehensive framework for guiding analyses of internal migration is lacking. This study contributes to the family migration literature in three important ways. We develop a multilevel theoretical framework emphasizing an integration of individual-, family-, and neighborhood-level effects; introduce multilevel statistical modeling; and explicitly assess how effects of economic-based explanatory variables vary by gender. Our data are from the Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID). We find that the likelihood of a family migrating is affected by economic and non-economic factors, some of which vary by gender. We add to the dual-earner migration literature by finding that wives are not likely to be tied-movers, but husbands are likely to be tied-stayers. Neighborhood factors also are important to the decision to migrate.
