Mobile Forms of Belonging

Abstract

Mobility is often portrayed as the antithesis of belonging. In this article, we challenge this perspective investigating how mobility and motility influence belonging in everyday life. We develop a perspective on belonging consisting of the dimensions of mobility, people and place and conditioned by the underlying dimensions of time, resources and structures of meaning. Applying this to interview material from a case study in Aalborg, we propose a tentative typology of mobile forms of belonging. It is discussed how different rhythms, conditions of mobility and variations in mobility resources result in different scales of belonging and modes of ‘centering’.

论新公共管理改革内容的国情适用性

新公共管理改革对一国国情的适用性受多种因素制约,新公共管理内容本身是一个重要方面。新公共管理改革的不同内容对借鉴国的国情有不同的适用性。其中,观念文化的变革最难,体制机制次之,技术工具相对容易。按照改革内容的不同特点和适用性要求,我国在推动政府转型和行政管理现代化的过程中有选择地借鉴新公共管理是完全可能的。

本文运用社会建构的研究方法 ,对中日近代科技发展的外部史即社会生产方式、社会政治制度、社会文化传递方式、教育体制、两国对外来文化的态度及国际环境六个方面的因素及其相互渗透、相互作用的关系加以比较分析 ,回答了古代先进的中国科学技术到了近代反而处于落后地位 ,古代落后的日本科学技术到了近代却超过了中国并跨入世界先进行列的社会条件和文化背景原因     

Le temps du remue-ménage. Conditions d'emploi et de travail de femmes de chambre

It is now admitted that part-time work is a signal of inequality between the sexes, in both work and family. By focusing on cleavages among women, an analysis is made of how worktime and the company’s position as a subcontractor combine so as to produce inequality among wage-earners by assigning them heterogeneous statuses and thus forcing some of them to cope with precarious working, employment and living conditions. This study of the working and employment conditions of chamber maids in France focuses on those who work part or full-time in cleaning companies under contract with other firms. Inside this rather unskilled group of women, part-time work stresses the differences produced by subcontracting and worsens the inequality between stable, full-time employees and the women subcontracted at part-time who do the same job. These cleavages set off a strike among these part-time workers. Analyzing this labor dispute has shed light on the social relations running through the firm and on invisible issues in work and employment for these women with jobs in the shadows.

中国经济增长的动力、约束条件与机制突破

建国以来特别是改革开放以来的发展经验显示,以工业和服务业为产业主导、以城市化为空间载体、以市场化为体制基础以及以国际化为战略支撑的发展模式共同推动了中国经济的持续高速增长;但是,资源环境、市场条件、资金资本、人才资本和体制机制五个方面所存在的困境与不足也共同构成了中国经济持续增长的约束条件。突破这些约束,宜调整产业结构、完善市场竞争机制和资本市场、实施有效的人才计划以及深化体制机制改革。     

Choice and caring: The experiences of parents supporting young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions as they move into adulthood

This paper reports findings about parents' experiences of caring for young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASCs) moving into adulthood. In‐depth interviews were conducted with 38 parents of young people (15–21 years) with ASCs. Data were analysed thematically. In the perceived absence of service support, parents' acted as ‘care‐coordinators’ and ‘life‐supporters’ for their child as they moved into adulthood. These roles came with little choice, emotional demands and personal restrictions. Being supported was important for parents, but preferences differed regarding what this should look like. Implications for policy are discussed.

本文通过剖析南通市老年人口高龄化成因特征,找出老年长寿的有利因素及其发展需求,对现行高龄老年社会福利保障做法和效果进行评估、总结经验、明确任务,提出进一步优化高龄老年物质与精神保障结合机制的建议措施。
