谈构建和谐社会中的农民工心理问题

我国农民工为现代化建设、城市的繁荣和发展做出了巨大的贡献,但因没有得到应有的地位和回报而出现的心理问题已经成为社会各界人士高度关注的社会问题。文章总结了农民工常见的心理问题并进行了理论分析,提出了解决农民工心理问题的调适对策。这将有利于社会的繁荣与稳定,有利于和谐社会的构建。     

人性的观点及当代心理学研究者的使命

人性是与人相关的学科都在共同探讨的问题,由于人性本身的复杂性,多层次性,致使每门学科都只能研究其一部分本性,都只能是局部的、片面的对人性给予认识和解读。心理学是以人为主题的学科,但心理学研究中的人性被分解与割裂,致使心理学面临危机四伏的不统一困境。当代心理学研究者只有以人为主题,在对人性全面、深刻的理解上展开研究,才能使心理学成为一门独立的和独特的学科,展示出它自身旺盛的生命力或它所存在的根据与价值。     

从犹太“岛民文化”透析巴以冲突

犹太人在近2000年饱受磨难的流散生涯中形成的“岛民心态”和“岛民文化”,长久以来影响着犹太人的安全观与生存观,导致以色列政府在阿以冲突问题上过于敏感和偏执,始终坚持强硬立场,使其一次次错失和平良机,并在中东乃至国际社会陷入孤立境地.“岛民心态”和“岛民文化”决定了中东和平进程的长期性、曲折性和复杂性.     

近年来我国大学生自杀心理剖析

研究自杀大学生的心理变化过程,对预防大学生自杀具有积极的作用。对大学生自杀案例进行剖析的结果表明,大学生自杀行为“因穷至卑”和“因穷自杀”现象不明显;不同原因自杀的心理动机存在差异,并且主要集中在“情感挫折”、“学习就业压力”、“个人心理障碍”、“家庭原因”和“生理健康”5类。自杀大学生的心理状态随着自杀意念的发生发展呈现一定的规律性,他们在实施自杀的过程中都经历了复杂的心理过程。     

Thomas Szasz' “critical reflections on child psychiatry”: An alternative view through a systemic lens

In “Critical Reflections on Child Psychiatry,” Thomas Szasz (1979) argues that children are without the rights afforded adults, that children are often coerced into therapy, and that most children do not appear to benefit from psychotherapy. Szasz raises many pertinent questions for mental health professionals working with children. However, his arguments appear to be based on literature limited to traditional psychodynamic approaches. His position also neglects to consider literature in the developmental psychology and legal fields. This paper, written from the cognitive developmental and the family systems perspective, provides another examination of the important issues raised by Thomas Szasz.     

The application of PERT in evaluation of human service programs

In this study a strategy well known to industry. Project Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT), was used to evaluate the community placement procedures in one institution for retarded. Case file review of two samples of residents was used to develop PERT networks showing movements between various living and vocational training settings. Analysis of these networks provided data and pinpointed needed procedural changes to meet the placement objective. The large number of recommendations derived from PERT and supplemental data provided evidence that PERT can be a valuable evaluation package component in institutions for the retarded. Evaluation applications in other human service systems were suggested.     

New ways of looking at management information systems in human service delivery

The functional aspects of management information systems (MIS's) in human-service delivery agencies are critically examined from the viewpoint of a behavioral systems analysis model. This model distinguishes between MIS as an information-gatherer and as a system to control agency behavior and administrative decision-making. The choice of a particular MIS involves the consideration of the agency 's informational objectives, the extent to which the MIS exerts control over the decision-making process, and its cost-effectiveness. The behavior-analytic approach to MIS requires an evaluation of the way in which the system affects the behavior of agency personnel and, ultimately the clients.     

Inflation,decimalization and the estimated sizes of coins

Subjects who were asked, in 1976, to estimate the sizes of British coins either under their current names or under their names before decimalization in 1971, gave bigger estimates under the old names. This difference is attributed to the loss of value of the coins since 1971.
