高校办公室工作的规范与创新——与政府办公室工作比较中的审视和思考

高校办公室与政府办公室工作既存有极大的普遍性,又有着无可完全替代的特殊性.本文本着"同中求异、异中求同"的原则与思路,结合自身的工作实践与体会,从高校办公室与政府办公室比较中就规范与创新高校办公室工作进行了审视和思考.     

Standards of Probability Sampling for Legal Evidence

Brief recognition is given to bicentennials of the death of James Stirling (1692–1770) and birth of Ferdinand Rudolph Hassler (1770–1843); to sesquicentennials of the publication of the 3rd definitive edition of Laplace's Théorie analytique des probabilités, and of the births of William Chauvenet (1820–1870) and Isaac Todhunter (1820–1884); to centennials of the births of Louis Bachelier (1870–1946) and Jean Perrin (1870–1942); and to the semicentennial of the initial publication (1920) of Metron, an International Review of Statistics.     

An integrated response to trauma in three post office businesses

Abstract

This paper looks at the way the UK Post Office has developed a core trauma care programme that is capable of being adapted to meet the needs of three of its businesses. The core programme includes an introductory stage that is involved in the selection and education of the workforce and the promotion of the programme; crisis management; manager debriefing; psychological debriefing; trauma counselling; and a final stage involving the evaluation of the programme and following up traumatized employees. The core programme was tailored to the needs of each of the three Post Office businesses, using information on the business operation, culture and policies of the businesses in the light of the nature and range of the traumatic incidents that affect their workforce.     

Locating Gender Neutrality in Formal and Informal Aspects of Organizational Cultures

This article describes and analyzes the practices that conceal gender at work in the contexts of different organizational cultures. The case studies on which I base my discussion derive from clerical work in two organizational settings. The interpretation I suggest is that regardless of their sex, age or hierarchical position at work, employees regard gender as a personal and intimate issue that, with the exception of pay, does not belong to the sphere of work. Gender issues raise questions that disturb the preferred harmony in everyday life in workplaces. Consequently, the employees seemed to think that hierarchical differences are located in society at large, not in their own workplaces. The analysis shows that age, position and technology shaped differences not only between women and men in organizations, but also among female clerical workers. Thus the results relate both to the practical realities at work and to the gender identities of clerical employees in their organizational cultures.     

A longitudinal test of Karasek's Job Strain model among office workers

Abstract

Karasek'sJob Strain model was tested in a sample of 122 office workers. Two rounds ofdata were collected and used to examine the reliability of the results and the relationships between job characteristics and worker strain over time. Moderated regression analyses based on standard scores of the independent variables were conducted to examine the interaction of job control and workload, and of skill utilization and workload, on various indicators of worker strain. The results indicated that there was neither multiplicative nor adhtive effect ofjob control/skill utilization and workload on worker strain. Some of the relationships between job characteristics and worker strain were not stable over time. The cross-lagged correlation analysis showed that workload at Time 1 had some effect on one ofthe worker strain indxators at Time 2, but not the reverse.     

元代崇福使爱薛史事补说

爱薛是元代首位崇福使,与元代基督教管理机构崇福司的设立有密切关系。本文梳理了爱薛至元二十四年前后政治地位之变化,考察了爱薛与元代广惠司及回回司天台机构筹建之关联,认为崇福司有可能是爱薛自波斯归国后,利用自身地位上升而主动建言筹建的结果。文章还就爱薛是否为神职人员进行考辨。     

江宁织造计吏刘春池小考——兼谈袁枚对曹家是否知情问题

袁枚的两则涉红诗话一度曾是胡适先生新红学的奠基石之一。后来由于其学生顾颉刚先生的质疑,袁枚就成了对曹家的不知情者,以致他那两则著名的涉红诗话也被打入冷宫,不再被采信。然笔者根据袁枚的人际交往圈的考察后认为:袁枚对曹家不但知情,而且知之甚深。所以对袁枚《随园诗话》中两则涉红诗话的可信性和可靠性,不应再继续采取否定态度。

公职伦理本质上是职业化、角色化的政治伦理和行政伦理;公职伦理建设目标确定和建设方式寻求,既须有规范伦理学维度的考量,也须有德性伦理学维度的考量.使公职伦理成为有效约束公职人员行为的外部控制系统和支持公职人员积极履行全面伦理责任的内部控制系统,是现代公职伦理建设的基本路径.
