清代《选》学与20世纪现代《选》学

清代传统《选》学不仅在《选》学文献整理与研究中取得了重大成就 ,而且传统《选》学中已蕴涵着现代《选》学的萌芽———整体观与现代《选》学的某些专题的出现。如汪师韩的《选》学整体研究 ,阮元的《文选序》研究 ,朱彝尊的《文选》成书过程研究 ,清代孙梅的《文选》、《文心雕龙》相互关系研究 ,张云王敖《选学胶言》、钱泰吉《曝书杂记》李善注“注例”研究等 ,现代《选》学的诞生实为“旧学新知”与“西学东渐”互相影响的逻辑归宿     

论九十年代现实主义形象的族根救赎模式

在当代现实主义文学创作中，形象的救赎模式直接影响着创作者在形象组构、情节铺排、结构营制、方向确立等一系列相关因素的调节与转换，也明确印证着不同文化时空中所形成的不同文学格局的创作态势。其中，在民间化大潮的影响之下，90年代的现实主义形象呈现出自然与文化相化合的族根救赎模式。     

IMPROVING THE NUMERICAL TECHNIQUE FOR COMPUTING THE ACCUMULATED DISTRIBUTION OF A QUADRATIC FORM IN NORMAL VARIABLES

This paper is concerned with the technique of numerically evaluating the cumulative distribution function of a quadratic form in normal variables. The efficiency of two new truncation bounds and all existing truncation bounds are investigated. We also find that the suggestion in the literature for further splitting truncation errors might reduce computational efficiency, and the optimum splitting rate could be different in different situations. A practical solution is provided. The paper also discusses a modified secant algorithm for finding the critical value of the distribution at any given significance level.     

Tests of serial independence based on Kendall's process

The authors propose new rank statistics for testing the white noise hypothesis in a time series. These statistics are Cramér‐von Mises and Kolmogorov‐Smirnov functionals of an empirical distribution function whose mean is related to a serial version of Kendall's tau through a linear transform. The authors determine the asymptotic behaviour of the underlying serial process and the large‐sample distribution of the proposed statistics under the null hypothesis of white noise. They also present simulation results showing the power of their tests.

Applying State Space to SPC: Monitoring Multivariate Time Series

Monitoring cross-sectional and serially interdependent processes has become a new issue in statistical process control (SPC). In up-to-date SPC literature, Kalman filtering was reported to monitor univariate autocorrelated processes. This paper applies a Kalman filter or state-space method for SPC to monitoring multivariate time series. We use Aoki's approach to estimate the parameter matrices of a state-space model. Multivariate Hotelling T ² control charts are employed to monitor the residuals of the state-space. Examples of this approach are illustrated.     

A comparison of objective and subjective measures of clinical competence

The purpose of this study was to determine if objective performance measures from a simulated patient practical examination were related to faculty subjective assessments of surgery students' performance. Another purpose was to determine if those students performing well on a simulated patient practical examination were the same students awarded honor ratings by faculty. Faculty ratings of students (n = 72) on history taking ability, physical exam skills, problem identification, use of investigations, problem integration, patient management, and patient relations skills were correlated with objective measures on these same criteria achieved on a practical exam employing three simulated patient cases. Correlations were also calculated to study the relationship between practical exam scores and honor rating recipients. Results indicated significant relationships between faculty subjective ratings and practical exam outcomes on all practical examination skills except physical exam skills and patient management skills. Findings also indicated the performance of honor students on the practical examination was significantly better than non-honor students on two skills: history-taking and patient relations. The implications of these research findings are discussed.

沈从文小说中的山洞意象解读

山洞是沈文小说创作中反复出现的自然象征。山洞代表 “过去的空间”和“永恒的时间”；山洞是死亡之地，亦是再生之地。作家对山洞死亡约会的“反复叙写”，凸显了爱欲与死亡的主题及其关系，也体现了沈从文的现代性。

姚鹓雏是南社杰出的诗人，也是南社唐宋诗论战的当事人之一。本文对姚鹓雏的诗论和诗作进行了论述，主张学术界应当给姚鹓雏以应有的地位。
