从概念整合理论角度看东北方言“整”的语义阐释

用认知语言学的概念整合理论来研究东北方言,给方言研究提供了一个新视角。东北方言＂整＂被认为是东北方言中的万能动词,其语义变化无常。主要从静态,状态和动态三个范畴对＂整＂语义进行划分,并对其相关的义项进行阐述。并用概念整合理论分析隐藏在东北方言＂整＂背后的认知机制和语义扩展规律及整合过程。     

大学英语词汇语义理解过程的认知阐释

以cold的语义理解过程为例,分析指出,词汇的语义理解是一个复杂的心理认知过程,熟练地运用心理语言学相关知识掌握这一过程,对英语词汇习得和教学具有重要意义。     

“有界”与“无界”：二律背反命题界限域的认知语言诠释

“有界”与“无界”是语言学概念中的哲学意义上的二律背反，是认知主体对其在时间、空间、性状和心理上的投射。通过分析梳理可以解释语言符号形式或多或少地映射事物本身的特点，在不同程度上反映主体的认知方式，并且与数量词起制约作用有关的一系列句法现象。但对于两者概念的确立与区分，必须适应一定的“认知域”和对其作主观上的“识解”。在“有界”和“无界”范围之间存在着无限的“准有界，，的认知体，一有界”认知体是认知原型，具有容易学习、记忆、使用等完形特征。“无界”的认知体因为可以被看作为属于另一认知结构，因此可成为新的认知原型。     

认知心理模型对英汉双向翻译的解释

翻译过程中的大脑认知机制会对译者的英汉双向翻译产生直接的影响。本文从词汇连接模型、概念媒介模型、概念特征模型、事件记忆模型这四种认知模型的特点出发,分析译者在翻译活动中的认知特点,并从心理角度解释造成英汉双向翻译认知负荷的原因。     

Parental Work Schedules and Children's Cognitive Trajectories

Previous work has shown an association between mothers' nonstandard work schedules and children's well-being. We built on this research by examining the relationship between parental shift work and children's reading and math trajectories from age 5/6 to 13/14. Using data (N=7,105) from the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth and growth curve modeling, we found that children's math and reading trajectories were related to parents' type of nonstandard shifts (i.e., evening, night, or variable). We found that having a mother who worked more years at a night shift was associated with lower reading scores, having a mother work more years at evening or night shifts was associated with reduced math trajectories, and having a father work more years at an evening shift was associated with reduced math scores. Mediation tests suggest that eating meals together, parental knowledge about children's whereabouts, and certain after-school activities might help explain these results.

Constructing press releases, constructing quotations: A case study

This paper reports on empirical research into how press releases are being constructed. It starts from previous discourse-analytic work which has pointed to the 'preformulated' nature of press releases: in particular, it has been shown that through a number of metapragmatic features press releases can easily be copied by journalists in their own news reporting. In this paper we set out to subject one of these features, viz. pseudo-quotations (or so-called constructed direct speech), to a further empirical study, in which we scrutinize the process of constructing the press releases. We propose a detailed analysis of this process by combining ethnographic fieldwork with some of the methodology of cognitive psychology, including think-aloud protocols and on-line registration of the writing process. On the basis of this case study it is concluded that the design and functions of quotations in press releases are more complex than has been assumed so far. In addition, our preliminary results indicate that the combination of methods that we propose in this paper provides a sound starting point for both quantitative and qualitative analysis, allowing for a detailed analysis and interpretation of how press releases are being constructed.
