How I wonder what you are: Children's songs as a source of mental and internal state information

This study investigated (1) whether children's songs could be potential sources of internal state information and (2) cross-cultural/linguistic differences in the availability of such information. We coded for expressions of mental states and other internal states in 255 English songs, likely accessed by children in the United States, and 255 Japanese songs, likely accessed by Japanese children. The majority of the songs in both samples contained at least one internal state expression, with songs containing four to five tokens and two types of internal state expressions on average. Japanese songs had more types of internal state expressions than English songs when comparing the two samples in proportion scores that controlled for the length of songs. However, differences between English and Japanese songs were negligible in the absolute frequency of tokens and types of internal state expressions, with the exception that Japanese songs were richer in ambiguous internal state expressions.

农村民间慈善的发展及其运作机制研究--以福建东南沿海金村为例

近些年来福建沿海农村民间慈善发展较快,民间慈善组织以血缘、地缘、姻缘关系为基础而建立,其制度化运作趋势日益明显。民间慈善组织以敬老、教育、助困为主要慈善内容,以个人捐赠和资金转移方式来获取原始资金,并通过保本取息、投本增收、追加捐款的渠道使资本增值。民间慈善的运作机制主要包括人情机制、攀比机制、效仿机制和激励机制,这四个机制相互联系,既涉及发展的内驱力,也包含发展的策略方式。     

Suranho healing: Filipino concepts of intellectual disability and treatment choices in Negros Occidental

This qualitative study investigated the use of folk medicine by families for people with intellectual disability in the Philippines. Workers from Negros Occidental who support people with intellectual disability participated in semi-structured interviews. Findings show families seek the intervention of a folk healer before seeking primary healthcare support and a prosperous cultural use of folk medicine exists across the Philippines. Intellectual impairment is perceived by some Filipinos to be caused by supernatural forces. Socio-cultural constructs of intellectual disability probably influence health outcomes for this populace. If primary healthcare tools and resources for people with intellectual disability that are developed in higher-income nations are to have the potential to be transferred into other settings, understanding of attitudes towards alternative medicine is needed.

作为当时的＂流行歌曲＂,唐宋词以娱乐大众、表现日常生活为创作旨归,借助于商品流通的渠道广泛流播于民间,这是对以＂传道＂、＂言志＂为核心的传统文学观的反叛。曲子词包括艳情性、通俗性和时尚性在内的各种＂另类＂特征,不但丰富了文学史的内容,也为后代＂流行歌曲＂的蓬勃发展确立了成功的典范。并且从某种意义上说,唐宋词赖以繁荣的动力,也正来自于这些＂另类＂特征的凸显和不断强化。
