大众文化的出场和兴盛——评徐国源新著《典范转移中国大众文化的出场视域》

作为大众文化＂出场＂研究的专著,从＂现代性＂、＂都市＂、＂大众＂等问题的历史审视切入,勾勒中国＂后现代＂文化空间的表征,科学阐释＂大众文化＂的意义,显示了作者的学术阐释力和独到的学术眼光;充溢全书的对话意识使读者倍感亲切,一扫阅读理论著作时常有的晦涩,使艰难的理论回溯与哲理思辨成为读者的一次并不沉重的思想旅行。     

断裂与承接——西方后现代伦理思潮述要

现代规范伦理学承诺给予现代个体以自由,然则其普遍理性主义诉求及其规则主义宰制,恰恰是以打压个体自由的方式确立起来的,因此,其不但不能实现个体自由的最初理论诉求,反而挤压了个体进行道德选择的自由空间。基于对此种困境的反思,后现代伦理思潮要求终结现代伦理学之悖谬,力图以伦理的解放和道德的自主,重新焕发现代性视域下伦理学应有的目的与生命力。     

教学规范转型与高师改革

基础教育课程改革促使传统的教学规范必须转型。这种转型以建构主义学习理论、多元智能和后现代课程观等全新的理论为支撑,同时,也给高师教育提出了多方面挑战。高师教育应采取必要策略,化挑战为机遇,乘势而上,实现自身跨越发展。     

Postmodern Research,Postmodern Practice: Studying the Barriers to Cyberliteracy Among Mentally Disabled Women

The conversation about the postmodern challenge to sociological practice is just beginning. Harding advocates a positive tension between the postmodern vision of an antiessentialist, antiepistemological future and the postmodern vision of successor science projects grounded in the epistemologies of marginalized communities. In this paper, I describe my study of barriers to cyberliteracy among mentally disabled women and how it has been informed by these two contrasting postmodern visions represented, respectively, by the work of Newman and Holzman (The End of Knowing: A New Developmental Way of Learning, Routledge, London, 1997) and Smith (Decolonizing Methodologies: Research and Indigenous Peoples, Zed Books, London, 1999).

后现代女性主义心理学是在后现代主义的影响下女性心理学整体上发生后现代转向的产物。它摆脱了女性心理学的两种传统,从强调性别差异和抹杀性别差异的对立和争论中跳了出来,以社会文化的建构来分析性别差异的产生过程,具有自己的理论特色。这种观点对于正确认识性别差异的社会文化原因有着重要意义。     

困境与张力：鲍曼后现代语境下的道德之维

齐格蒙特·鲍曼被称为当代西方最著名的研究现代性和后现代性问题的理论家之一。鲍曼以批判的视角来审视现代性的伦理困境,揭示出理性的普遍实践恰恰造成了非理性的伦理后果;并从后现代视角对道德现象进行了展望,进而提出构建一种体现"道德向个人回归"的后现代伦理学。     

误构与差异——利奥塔论后现代知识合法化问题

利奥塔以《后现代状态:关于知识的报告》一书闻名于世。在这部著作中,他以后工业社会的知识状况为考察对象,否认以“思辨理性的大叙事”“人性解放的大叙事”为支撑的现代性知识的合法性,为被压抑束缚的小叙事鸣不平。利奥塔呼唤公正的语言游戏,多元的文化空间,真正平等的语言平台。尽管他的理论并未给现代性指出一条可行的发展路线,但却可以引起人们的深思,为哲学的发展带来深刻的变化。     

美学的焦虑与价值基座

日常生活的审美化非但没有给美学带来多少荣耀,相反使美学执着于“此岸”,进而走向异化、走向反美学。应把种种审美现象置于后现代文化语境中加以观照,提炼出一些新的概念组合,用全新的视角深入内部加以阐明,开掘出深层的美学意味,并且在批判意识和反思智慧的引导下,确立美学的价值基座,奠定美学的人类学或存在论走向。     

Navigating the Shifting Sands of Social Work Terrain: Social Work Practice in Postmodern Conditions

In an effort to inform social work education, this article reports on part of a study examining the factors that hinder or facilitate involvement in social justice efforts. Based on a case example of Canadian international development nongovernmental organizations, the article presents the findings of an analysis of organizational documents. I argue that international development organizations' conceptions of involvement reproduce inequitable North-South power relations through a perpetuation of colonial discourses of the South. This perpetuation of inequitable power relations is evident in three main themes: the tragic South; the hero/victim binary; and the ideal of one world. The implications of these findings for social work education are outlined.     

Questioning Gender and Sexuality Binaries

Abstract

Social work has largely adopted the oppression model in our research, practice, education, policy and advocacy work. These essentialist constructions rely on the binary categorizations of male/female and heterosexuality/homosexuality. Largely missing from the mainstream social work literature are the perspectives of postmodern/queer theorists, the latest sex research, and the experience of transgendered individuals. These perspectives offer critiques of gender and sexuality binaries as well as libratory goals for social justice. Tensions between the postmodern perspective and the social work liberal model are discussed, and suggestions for incorporating the ideas emanating from queer theorists, new sex research, and the lived experiences of the transgendered into all areas of social work are offered.
