语言论转向的文化学内涵阐析--以杰姆逊的文化分期为内在线索

西方20世纪以来的“语言论转向”绝不是一个偶然的现象,语言的变化背后蕴藏着深刻的文化学内涵。杰姆逊关于资本主义文化分期的思想,揭示了资本主义文化发展在不同阶段的内在逻辑,也为考察西方语言论转向的文化学内涵提供了很好的参照系。语言论作为资本主义文化的一部分,其发展变化正体现了资本主义文化发展基本规律。     

大众文化批判理论的历史唯物主义考量

大众文化作为后现代社会的文化主导,它的本质特征是由高雅走向世俗,趋向商品化,颠覆了传统价值观,并使得文化问题成为政治问题的一部分,究其原因,主要有资本主义的生产方式、消费主义的生活方式和科技的非理性应用,大众文化批判理论坚持了生产方式批判、生活方式批判和科技批判3个维度的统一,回应了后现代主义文化批判理论的质疑。     

谈后现代主义之非中心化特征

本文对后现代主义的各种基本特征进行了较全面的分析和探讨，从而揭示了后现代主义的根本实质──非中心化。     

Three Poems

Within Southern Appalachia there are distinct, historic patterns of exploitation. These patterns have helped to give shape to certain cultural tendencies that are strikingly similar to the clinical manifestations of groups who have experienced traumatic stress. Once normative adaptations to the well documented crises that come with unemployment, over the generations they became ingrained in the culture. The resulting cultural traits-an enduring sense of resignation, deep depression, and disrupted relationships represent the presence of a culturally transmitted traumatic stress syndrome that is induced by exploitation.     

Problematizing contemporary Men/Masculinities theorizing: the contribution of Raewyn Connell and conceptual‐terminological tensions today

Critical studies of men and masculinities (CSMM) have burgeoned in recent times. For this reason, it seems to me a useful moment to reflect on what I see as some tensions, even contradictions, in these studies. In keeping with Chantal Mouffe's espousal of the advantages of agonism rather than consensus, I suggest that heterogeneous theoretical directions in scholarship attending to men/masculinities are by no means to be discouraged. However, the various theoretical tools employed in this scholarship may be incommensurable and thus produce a certain inconsistency or even incoherence. In this context, I suggest that in order to more clearly articulate current theoretical/terminological debates it is important to undertake analysis of key conceptual distinctions and widely used terms, such as notions of structure and patriarchy, gender identities/masculinities/men, hegemony and hegemonic masculinity, and relations between gender and sexuality, amongst others. The aim here is not to produce or require homogeneity in studies of men/masculinities but rather to provide an opportunity to consider the epistemological frameworks which inform the political intentions and goals of this sphere of scholarship.

韩国故事影片<时间>是导演金基德精心谱写的一曲潘多拉式的时代悲歌.该片呈现了整容手术对现代社会的致命吸引力和毁灭性打击的两难境地.作为整部影片中最主要的隐喻,整容手术被置于一种后现代式的审视和沉思之中.片中人物的精心刻画,故事情节和艺术手法的异乎寻常无一不透露出后现代主义倾向.     

后现代主义观照下中国影视剧研究——以《大话西游》为例

文章运用后现代主义的相关理论分析香港无厘头电影<大话西游>.着重分析了该影片对传统艺术表现形式的颠覆,主要表现在以下几个方面:对传统主题的颠覆、对传统形象的颠覆、对传统叙事手法的颠覆.其颠覆有其成功的一面,它融入的现在元素给观众耳目一新的感觉,具有一定的娱乐功能;但另一方面,它又会造成传统故事精髓的损失.     

文明的理论和对现代文明的反思

西方历史上,文明研究的高潮都出现在社会重大转型时期,以启蒙运动和20世纪前半期的新宾格勒和汤因比等为代表。文明研究的第三次高潮就是后现代主义,以法兰克福学派、罗马俱乐部、托夫勒、“后马克思主义”及“后结构主义”等为代表,它预示着新的社会转型期的到来。

身体问题在20世纪西方哲学尤其是欧陆后现代哲学领域成为一个不容回避的焦点课题。而从柏拉图—奥古斯丁—笛卡尔路线之虚假的、邪恶的、无知的身体到现象学传统的功能性、形式化、基源性身体,再到后现代理论的物质性、生产性和欲望化的身体,身体意识的觉醒及其推进经历了一个由隐而显、由虚而实,从形式到内容、从边缘到中心的漫长过程。对这一过程的考察,不仅显示出身体问题在当代的崛起与凸显并非是孤立的、断裂的、一蹴而就的,而且展现了它所蕴含的巨大的可能性意义以及更为重要的理论界限。     

Challenging Dominant Discourses: Peer Work as Social Justice Work

ABSTRACT

People with mental illnesses are overrepresented in the criminal justice system, and discourses concerning the medical model, criminalization, and criminality dominate the intervention landscape for this population. Using a critical postmodern lens, 45 in-depth interviews with peer specialists who had incarceration histories were analyzed to understand how they approach their work. Peer specialists with incarceration histories constructed new identities through their training and peer work by valuing experiential knowledge. Even in the face of power differentials, they challenged dominant discourses directly and indirectly and advocated for various forms of help for the people with whom they worked.
