Recursive M-estimators of location

This paper deals with recursive M-estimators of a location parameter θ in stationary processes when scale is regarded as a nuisance parameter. For the nonrecursive M-estimators, the median absolute deviation is a useful estimator of scale. Two recursive variants of the median absolute deviation are proposed and the performance of the resulting recursive estimators is examined in a numerical study.

On the statistical inference of a machine-generated autoregressive AR(1) model

We have obtained the asymptotic bias and the limiting distribution for the Yule–Walker estimator of the autoregressive parameter under a considerably weaker assumption than that of independence in the noise sequence. Among other things, these suggest robustness of the classical results and throw some light on the use of simulations based on pseudorandom numbers in verifying these results.

西北地区以其得天独厚的地理条件,保存并出土了大量秦汉简牍,西北屯戍汉简异体字来源杂乱,类型各异,我们在对其进行全面整理的过程中发现,其形体的变异呈现出较为明显规律,即：同化、异化、类化、记号化。了解这种变化,可以使我们更好地解读古代汉字的演化规律。     

CORRECTED SCORE FUNCTIONS IN CLASSICAL ERROR-IN-VARIABLES AND INCIDENTAL PARAMETER MODELS

Nakamura (1990) introduced an approach to estimation in measurement error models based on a corrected score function, and claimed that the estimators obtained are consistent for functional models. Proof of the claim essentially assumed the existence of a corrected log-likelihood for which differentiation with respect to model parameters can be interchanged with conditional expectation taken with respect to the measurement error distributions, given the response variables and true covariates. This paper deals with simple yet practical models for which the above assumption is false, i.e. a corrected score function for the model may not be obtained through differentiating a corrected log-likelihood although it exists. Alternative regularity conditions with no reference to log-likelihood are given, under which the corrected score functions yield consistent and asymptotically normal estimators. Application to functional comparative calibration yields interesting results.
