Diversity of genes, species, and ecosystems altogether constitute biodiversity. Biodiversity is essential for our survival. Anthropogenic biodiversity loss is due to reasons such as unsustainable production and consumption, human population growth, and poverty. Despite various efforts undertaken for conserving biodiversity, nothing significant has been achieved. This study focuses on human behavior for biodiversity loss. The goal of human life is genetic survival through reproduction. The driving force for reproductive success can be explained through natural selection. From an evolutionary perspective, resources acquire intrinsic utility when they enhance the inclusive fitness, called reproductive success. Human behavioral change is required for conserving biodiversity.  相似文献

The internet offers companies many opportunities to implement new business models, in short called e-Business, and to reinforce their competitiveness in the market. Despite the great interest and demand shown towards e-Business, the number of successful applications is quite few. This study suggests a framework to monitor and appraise the success of a particular e-Business operation, e-Marketplaces. To achieve this, we propose a measure, namely the e-Marketplace success index (e-MSI) to quantify the performance of e-Marketplaces. e-MSI can be effectively employed for benchmarking among digital marketplaces whether they are competing or not. More importantly, the factors shaping e-MSI are also educative – the weaknesses and strengths of e-Marketplaces with respect to key success dimensions come right to the fore. We believe that e-Marketplaces can take advantage of this information to improve their effectiveness and, at the same time, actual and/or potential companies may benefit from a uniform, objective and robust assessment of e-Marketplaces.  相似文献

采用问卷调查方法,探讨大学生毽球运动员运动动机的状况,结果表明:1)大学生毽球运动员在性别上能力动机、成功动机、避免失败动机都有显著性差异,男大学生毽球运动员三个维度都强于女大学生毽球运动员.2)甲组的男、女大学生毽球运动员在能力动机和获得成功的动机维度上有显著性差异.避免失败动机上没有显著性差异.3)乙组的男、女大学生毽球运动员在3个维度上都无显著性差异.4)甲、乙组之间男子大学生毽球运动员在能力动机维度上有显著性差异,在其它两个围度上无显著性差异;甲、乙组之间女子大学生毽球运动员在3个维度上都无显著性差异.5)乙组大学生毽球运动员在能力动机维度上强于甲组大学生毽球运动员,且有显著性差异,其他两个维度没有差异.6)不同学校类型大学生毽球运动员在获得成功动机上具有显著性差异,其它两个维度无差异.建议教练员在训练过程中要提高毽球运动员的内部动机,使运动员在训练和比赛中体验成功和喜悦.以提高学生技术技能和比赛能力.  相似文献

Abstract

The movement of some women into self employment is considered in this paper. It is argued that if this movement is to be successful, and thus have any influence on the equality of employment opportunities, then it is necessary for the business ventures involved to be run strategically rather than operationally. It is also argued that there must be greater scope and encouragement for innovation in this area, otherwise there is a danger of mirroring, in new business formation, the structure of inequality that applies to the formal, and declining, structure of current employment. Finally, the paper examines the need for women's entrepreneurial ventures to be better accepted by and integrated into the wider social fabric. The potential sources of stress and of satisfaction in women's self employment are noted.  相似文献

In recent years, high failure rates in phase III trials were observed. One of the main reasons is overoptimistic assumptions for the planning of phase III resulting from limited phase II information and/or unawareness of realistic success probabilities. We present an approach for planning a phase II trial in a time‐to‐event setting that considers the whole phase II/III clinical development programme. We derive stopping boundaries after phase II that minimise the number of events under side conditions for the conditional probabilities of correct go/no‐go decision after phase II as well as the conditional success probabilities for phase III. In addition, we give general recommendations for the choice of phase II sample size. Our simulations show that unconditional probabilities of go/no‐go decision as well as the unconditional success probabilities for phase III are influenced by the number of events observed in phase II. However, choosing more than 150 events in phase II seems not necessary as the impact on these probabilities then becomes quite small. We recommend considering aspects like the number of compounds in phase II and the resources available when determining the sample size. The lower the number of compounds and the lower the resources are for phase III, the higher the investment for phase II should be. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung  Der vorliegende Beitrag leitet aus einer umfassenden Bestandsaufnahme der empirischen Forschung zum Wissensmanagement einen Bezugsrahmen der Erfolgsfaktoren ab. Ziel ist die Zuordnung der identifizierten Erfolgsfaktoren zu übergeordneten Aggregationsniveaus (Untersuchungsfelder, Kategorien und Dimensionen) und damit die Reduzierung von Komplexit?t und Systematisierung der bisherigen Befunde. Weiterhin sollen aus den Ergebnissen der vorliegenden Analyse Implikationen für die weitere Forschung im Wissensmanagement abgeleitet werden. Als Ergebnis resultiert ein Modell, welches die Inhalte als auch die hypothetischen Beziehungen zwischen den identifizierten Aggregationsebenen veranschaulicht. Er bildet damit Grundlage für eine weitere Analyse der Erfolgsfaktoren, ihrer Auspr?gungen und Interdependenzen. Aus der Heterogenit?t der Studien konnten weitere Implikationen für die theoretische Wissensmanagement-Forschung abgeleitet werden.
Knowledge management factors of success: A review of empirical findings and a model for future research
Summary  This paper derives a framework of key success-factors from an in-depth review of empirical research in knowledge management. Our first objective was to reduce the complexity of previous findings in the field of knowledge management by developing a model-structure that focuses on the interdependencies of the identified variables and to develop a framework that would allow for further research. We thus iteratively aggregated the identified factors of success to superior fields of analysis (named research fields, categories and dimensions). Our second objective was to extract from the analysis further implications for future research. The derived hypothetical framework maps the identified levels of aggregation and its describing factors, as well as the hypothetical interdependencies among them. Therefore this framework not only structures the findings, but also provides a basis for further analysis that aims at sound confirmation of the knowledge management factors of success, their characteristics and interdependencies. The observed heterogeneity of existing research points towards further research implications for knowledge management theory.

运用问卷调查方法,研究了自我职业生涯管理(ICM)以及职业承诺对职业生涯成功的影响及其影响机制。职业生涯成功包括职业生涯竞争力和满意度2个因素,通过对IT行业员工调查所获得的315份有效问卷的数据分析,发现在控制了人口学变量后,ICM和职业承诺仍然对职业生涯成功有预测作用,而且职业承诺的影响部分地通过ICM中介影响职业生涯成功。  相似文献
