战时美国经济援华与中美“特殊关系”的形成

抗战时期关国对华经济援助是美国援华体系的重要环节,它在援助力度与援助性质上随着远东战局的发展和美日矛盾的激化经历了一个变化的过程,这一过程正与美国对华政策日趋积极和国民政府的外交重点转向美国有着密切的互动关系,表明战时中关“特殊关系”已在事实上建立起来。     

尼克松政府与中国在联合国的代表权问题——围绕安理会席位问题的美台交涉

1971年初,尼克松政府改变历届美国政府坚决反对中国加入联合国的立场,采纳了“双重代表权”提案。围绕这一提案中所涉及的安理会席位问题,美台之间进行了三轮交涉。最终,台湾同意放弃安理会席位。

美洲人权机关对紧急状态下人权的保障,主要是围绕着<美洲人权公约>第27条所确立的标准而进行的实践.该条不仅规定了紧急状态的概念,还规定了基本权利不得克减、克减措施与紧急情势相称、禁止歧视、与其他国际义务相一致等原则和履行国际通知的义务,从而对国家宣布紧急状态的条件和在紧急状态下行使克减权作出了严格的限制.实践中,美洲人权机关根据上述标准,对紧急状态下的人权提供了积极的救济和保障.     

生命意义的追寻——以白兰为例解读《红字》中的追寻母题

19世纪美国作家霍桑的代表作《红字》中A的象征,无论是从白兰的言行举止中对它的新解,还是评论家联系这本小说和霍桑本人的关系对它的新解,红A字都有着与“通奸”（Adultery）截然不同的解释。本文从A字代表白兰情人的（Anhur）名字的首字母这一点出发,分析了白兰一生中关于此事的经历,从来到美洲离开美洲再返回美洲,在这一过程中她追寻美国自由之梦、人性的解放和精神家园的回归,这个过程也就是她生命意义追寻的过程。     

从“落叶归根”到“落地生根”——小说《骨》中华裔美国人身份的蝉变

《骨》是华裔美国女作家伍慧明的开山之作《骨》。伍慧明通过美国旧金山唐人街梁家的故事,编织了一个关于个人、家庭及民族的历史与政治问题的民族寓言。从后殖民主义批评的视角小说《骨》借助“落叶归根”和“落地生根”两类形象展现了华工移民及其子女在融入美国社会并成为关国人时所经历的身份变化,揭示了华裔美国人身份的建构之意。     

佛教僧侣财产权探析——宗教财产权研究之一

实证分析表明:佛教僧侣具有双重主体身份,他们既是宗教界的出家人,又是市民法上的自然人.依佛教教规,僧侣通常不应蓄财;但依民法,僧侣应享有其私人财产所有权.此文探讨了我国现有法律与宗教在僧侣财产权问题上的冲突,分析了僧侣财产权的特殊性,建议设立民法上的宗教财产所有权,解决法律与宗教的冲突,为司法审判提供适法依据.     

The Representation of Arab America in Betty Shamieh’s Roar and The Black Eyed

Abstract

This article gives an analysis of Betty Shamieh’s Roar and The Black Eyed. In these plays, Shamieh presents Arab Americans as victims of Orientalism. She puts Arab Americans within the context of immigrants’ sagas in the United States in an attempt to give their experience validity and identification within larger ethnic experiences. Conversely, Arabs in the two plays are presented as victimizers and politically blamed. This confusion over the representation of the cultural and the political results mainly from Shamieh’s reluctance to offend the wide/white readership market, which is more interested in reading and watching the western stereotype of the Arab. Shamieh’s failure to stage a coherent positive picture of Arab America confirms that Arab Americans are still looking for artistic freedom and that literary censorship is still limiting their productions.     

Early African American Social Welfare Pioneer Women

Abstract

This article uses selective aspects of the careers of Ida Bell Wells-Barnett, Lugenia Burns Hope, Elizabeth Ross Haynes and Janie Porter Barrett to provide a critical overview of the ways that African American women addressed the needs of their communities through social welfare services during the early part of the twentieth century. Furthermore, the article also shows how individual and collective forms of empowerment helped to build private social institutions to address the community's needs.     

Psychosocial Factors That Contribute to HIV/AIDS Risk Behaviors Among Young Black College Women

Sustainable consumption is one of the most recent challenges in the field of education. This is the reason why a great number of international institutions have formulated strategies to foster more sustainable consumption. In Greece, certain educational programs have gradually begum to implement a policy aiming to sustainable consumption in the field of the new curriculum of studies for primary school. The intent of this study is to highlight the need to consider the pupils' consumer habits and behaviors in the purchase and management of products and services in reference with modern consumption patterns. Specifically, the aim of this article is to identify the pupils' sustainable and unsustainable practices, considering their personal dimensions of everyday living, and giving a particular meaning to consumer education in Greece.
