Time Series Properties of the German Production Index

Summary: The production index is an important indicator for assessing the cyclical state of the economy. Unfortunately, the monthly time series is contaminated by many noisy components like seasonal variations, calendar and vacation effects. Only part of those nuisance components are explicitly considered in the seasonal adjustment procedures used by statistical agencies. In this paper, we propose a more flexible specification for the seasonal and working day effects and introduce an indicator for the summer vacations effect. TESTING FOR PERIODIC STATIONARITY

This paper proposes a test for the null hypothesis of periodic stationarity against the alternative hypothesis of periodic integration. We derive the limiting distribution of the test statistic and its characteristic function, which are the same as those of the test developed in Kwiatkowski, Phillips, Schmidt and Shin.[15] We find that some parameters, which we must assume under the alternative, have an important effect on the limiting power, so we should choose such parameters carefully. A Monte Carlo simulation reveals that the test has reasonable power but may be affected by the lag truncation parameter that is used for the correction of nuisance parameters.

老年冠心病患者红细胞免疫功能与CRP、HCY的临床探讨

目的探讨老年冠心病(CHD)患者外周血红细胞免疫功能与C-反应蛋白(CRP)、同型半胱氨酸(HCY)的变化及临床意义.方法采用"郭峰改良法"透 射比浊法、酶联免疫分析检测49例老年CHD患者外周血红细胞C3b受体花环率(RBC-C3bRR)、红细胞免疫复合花环率(RBC-ICR)、CRP和HCY,并与32例健康老年人作比较.结果CHD组的RBC-C3bRR与对照组无明显差异,RBC-ICR、CRP及HCY则明显高于对照组,尤以不稳定型心绞痛组(UAP)为甚(P＜0.01).结论老年CHD存在严重的EIF低下,免疫机制和炎症因子CRP、HCY可能是急性冠脉综合症(ACS)发病中的一个重要因素,并可能与斑块的不稳定性有关.     

带专名的英语习语及其汉译

带专名的英语习语是指含有人名、地名等专有名词的英语习语。按其所含的专名类别 ,可以分为带人名的英语习语、带地名的英语习语等四类。这些习语主要源于希腊、罗马神话、圣经故事、民间传说、文学作品、日常生活及历史事件。本文分析了带专名的英语习语的特点 ,并提出有别于习语传统译法的几条原则 ,即尽量少套用汉语习语 ,主要应直译 ,迫不得已时可意译。直译进一步分为简单直译、直译加注等五种方法     

1999年全国硕士研究生入学英语试题参考译文商榷

本文以全国硕士研究生入学考试《英语考试大纲》(非英语专业 )对英译汉的要求为标准 ,以分析 1 999年该入学考试中英译汉一题的全文为依据 ,指出该题参考答案中有十余个词、短语甚至句子纯属误译。文章强调 :参考译文的编写者应忠实实践考试大纲提出的原则 ,严格依据上下文 ,力求译文准确、完整、通顺。
