"比较"和"对比"是两个不同概念的语言学术语,然而在英汉译学著述和翻译教学的科目设置中混淆通用."英汉语言文化比较与翻译"和"英汉语言文化对比与翻译"中的"比较"与"对比",形式与内涵完全相同,性质和目的也没有区别."英汉语言文化比较与翻译"的课程设置受到专家的质疑,与其名目不无关系,故建议以"英·汉翻译语言·文化对比研究"之名目统一术语,确立名称.     

关于体育教师培养的课程方案现状及改革研究

该文采用文献资料法、调查法、比较法等,对国内18所体育院系的《人才培养方案》和国际上教师教育发达国家的课程设置情况进行了深入的调查与研究。研究结果表明:应对目前我国体育院系体育教育专业的课程结构和学时安排作适度的调整,加强体育教师职业化建设,正确处理"学术性和竞技性"与"师范性"的关系,切实提高人才培养质量。

内外经济循环理论及其在中国经济运行中的应用研究

一国的经济发展依赖于国内及国际两个相互联系的经济循环共同作用。本文将国际、国内两个经济循环结合考虑,借鉴经济发展理论和新经济增长理论的思想,结合中国国情,提出了内外经济循环理论及其模型,并对中国经济的内外循环协调互补机制进行了分析,主张通过发挥两个循环互相促进、互相补充的优势,使中国经济在内外循环较大的正面效应和较小的负面效应作用下获得可持续发展。     

Probability of ties and Markov property in discrete order statistics

It is well known that, in the continuous case, the probability that two consecutive order statistics are equal to zero, whereas it is not true when the distribution is discrete. It is, perhaps, for this reason that order statistics from discrete distributions has not been investigated in the literature as much as from a continuous distribution. The main purpose of this paper, therefore, is to obtain the probability of ties when the distribution is discrete. Also it is shown that, in the discrete case, the Markov property does not hold good. However, the order statistics from a geometric distribution forms a Markov chain.     

Asymptotic distributions of functions of a sample covariance matrix under the elliptical distribution

This paper is concerned with asymptotic distributions of functions of a sample covariance matrix under the elliptical model. Simple but useful formulae for calculating asymptotic variances and covariances of the functions are derived. Also, an asymptotic expansion formula for the expectation of a function of a sample covariance matrix is derived; it is given up to the second-order term with respect to the inverse of the sample size. Two examples are given: one of calculating the asymptotic variances and covariances of the stepdown multiple correlation coefficients, and the other of obtaining the asymptotic expansion formula for the moments of sample generalized variance.     

Testing equality of ratios from two finite populations

Approximations are given for the bias and variance of both the regression and ratio estimator when sampling from a finite population, and simulation results are given indicating the accuracy of the approximations and the bias of the estimated approximations. A different estimator for the variance of the regression estimator is recommended. Test procedures are proposed for testing the hypothesis of equality of ratios from two finite populations, the procedures depending upon the types of populations being sampled. Simulation results indicating the effectiveness of the test procedures in controlling their size are given.     

The evaluation of treatment in therapeutic communities: Problems of design and implementation

The evaluation of therapeutic communities provides an opportunity to explore the relationship between evaluation methodologies and the constraints imposed by the nature of the treatment setting. In most therapeutic communities the environment represents the primary vehicle of treatment and, as a result, virtually every aspect of the program's operations are, directly or indirectly, related to the treatment goals. This paper examines some of the problems this situation creates for the evaluation of such programs. It suggests that the need to develop an effective working relationship with the program becomes the primary concern of the evaluation process, and it analyzes the use of specific techniques involved in establishing this type of relationship. Such an approach may be useful in other settings where the unique characteristics of the program become the primary constraint in evaluation design and implementation.     

Worst-case behavior of string-searching algorithms

If some conditions hold for the string pattern, then in the worst case every string-searching algorithm has to examine all the characters of the text. These conditions hold for more than half of the patterns consisting of 0's and 1's.
