马克思批判旧道德,树立新道德,否定伪道德,崇尚真善美,其著作中包含着丰富的伦理思想。马克思对旧世界道德的高度批判、对人的全面发展的道德理想的不懈追求以及对空洞无物的道德说教的彻底排斥等论述,为大学生价值观教育提供了丰富的思想资源与方法指向。     

Self‐Reported Likelihood of Whistleblowing by Social Work Students

This article presents a first study on the professional–ethical dilemma of whistleblowing in social work, and suggests some lines for further research on this topic as well as ways for integrating it in the social work curriculum. The study examines the self‐reported readiness of social work students to blow the whistle, whether internally or externally. Internal disclosure entails reporting the wrongdoing to an authority within the organization. External disclosure entails reporting the offense to an outside agency, such as the police, professional organization, or press. The findings indicate that the students view the acts that are detrimental or cause injustice to the client in a very serious light. In dilemma situations such as these, the students reported a willingness to act. The students also report considerably greater likelihood of whistleblowing internally than externally.     

Managing Integrity: The Regulation of Post Public Employment in Britain and Hong Kong

In this article, we examine the regulatory mechanisms governing post public employment in Britain and Hong Kong in the context of changing views on how integrity should be managed in their civil services. In both places, new public management practices have increased the possibility of ‘soft’ conflicts of interest which in turn has resulted in debates over the necessary degree of regulation, the organizational form that this should take, and the extent to which ethical concerns should be more focused on the communication and inculcation of core values in civil servants. We argue that the difficulty of regulating ‘soft’ conflicts of interests is driving moves toward the greater centralisation of ethical regulation in both Britain and Hong Kong and that there appears to be a return to more traditional ways of managing integrity.

Ethical and despotic leadership, relationships with leader's social responsibility, top management team effectiveness and subordinates' optimism: A multi-method study

In this multi-method study, we examined the relationships of leader's social responsibility with different aspects of ethical leadership (morality and fairness, role clarification, and power sharing) as well as with despotic leadership. We also investigated how these leadership behaviors relate to effectiveness and optimism, using multiple-source ratings. Interviews with CEOs (N = 73) were coded for the presence of leader's social responsibility and its facets. Also, using questionnaires, direct reports rated each CEOs' leader behavior (n = 130) and a second group of direct reports (n = 119) rated effectiveness and optimism. As expected, leaders high on social responsibility were rated higher on ethical leadership and lower on despotic leadership. Ethical leadership was also positively related to perceived top management team effectiveness and subordinates' optimism about the future of the organization and their own place within it.     

On Multi-Treatment Adaptive Allocation Design for Dichotomous Response

The use of ridit, as a probability score, is a very common practice to compare discrete random variables in discrete data analysis. In the present work we formulate ridit reliability functionals for some comparison of K independent binary random variables. We use such functionals to provide a generalized response-adaptive design (GRAD) on K(≥ +2) treatment-arms for dichotomous response variables. We exhibit some properties of the proposed design and compare it with some of the existing competitors by computing its various performance measures. We also provide a discussion towards a possible modification of the GRAD in the presence of covariates.

社会工作专业的本质是一种道德实践,其对意识形态的介入及专业实践中所涉的道德价值判断和伦理抉择使之不同于一般的专业。社会工作在专业化的进程中包涵着诸多的伦理议题,概括之为：社会工作的道德特质、伦理困境、伦理抉择等。这些构成了社会工作复杂的价值与伦理议胚中的核心议题。对这些问题的探讨有助于进一步澄清社会工作的专业本质,并提升社会工作的专业化水平。     

试论当前高职师资培训的困境与对策

开发教师的潜能、提高教师的业务能力是提高高职院校教学质量、实现高职教育人才培养目标的关键,而师资培训正是快速激发教师潜能、提高教师业务能力的有效方法和重要环节。当前加强师资培训已成为高职教育发展的迫切需要,文章通过对我国师资培训的困境进行分析,对如何加强高职师资培训提出了相应的对策。     

《文化多样性公约》实施困境之法律分析

《文化多样性公约》制度的内在缺陷,成为其实施困境中的首要问题;文本的诸多制度设计与WTO框架及理念存在冲突,使其在当今以WTO为主导的自由贸易体制下的运行缺乏良好法律环境。为此,需推动《文化多样性公约》与WTO制度关联,平衡多方面利益,发挥非政府组织功能。就中国而言,一方面要加快"文化多样性"保护的国内立法,采取公约所允许的文化保护政策;另一方面要在解决国际争端中争取《文化多样性公约》的法律地位和话语权。     

Ethics in Operations Research and Management Sciences: A never-ending effort to combine rigor and passion

From practice to theory, we introduce a state-of-the-art stream of papers that promotes an inclusive and complementary consideration of both analytical methods and ethical values in Operations Research and Management Sciences (OR/MS). We suggest a perspective according to which the consideration of ethics in OR/MS constitutes an enrichment of our discipline as well as a contribution to a more sustainable future in general.
