创新:党的十三届四中全会以来我国国防建设的突出特征

江泽民在党的十六大报告中全面阐述了关于我国国防和军队建设的指导方针。这些指导方针,既是对我国国防和军队建设经验,特别是党的十三届四中全会以来国防和军队建设经验的总结,又因其强烈的时代特征,具有重要的现实指导意义。十六大报告关于国防和军队建设的论述与13年来我国国防和军队建设的实践贯穿着同一条血脉,即在对毛泽东军事思想和邓小平新时期军队建设思想继承基础上的创新和发展。     

The Multiple Control of Verbal Behavior

Amid the novel terms and original analyses in Skinner's Verbal Behavior, the importance of his discussion of multiple control is easily missed, but multiple control of verbal responses is the rule rather than the exception. In this paper we summarize and illustrate Skinner's analysis of multiple control and introduce the terms convergent multiple control and divergent multiple control. We point out some implications for applied work and discuss examples of the role of multiple control in humor, poetry, problem solving, and recall. Joint control and conditional discrimination are discussed as special cases of multiple control. We suggest that multiple control is a useful analytic tool for interpreting virtually all complex behavior, and we consider the concepts of derived relations and naming as cases in point.     

MORE MISSING WOMEN,FEWER DYING GIRLS: THE IMPACT OF SEX‐SELECTIVE ABORTION ON SEX AT BIRTH AND RELATIVE FEMALE MORTALITY IN TAIWAN

This study finds that the introduction of sex‐selective abortion in Taiwan due to the legalization of abortion when prenatal sex‐detection technology was already available increased the fraction of males born at higher parities and changed the composition of mothers choosing to give birth. Controlling for compositional changes, we find that access to sex‐selective abortion reduced relative neonatal female mortality rates for higher‐parity births.     

The Intra‐household Division of Labor: An Empirical Analysis of Spousal Influences on Individual Time Allocation

Using the German Time Use Surveys 1991/92 and 2001/02, this paper analyses the interactions between the time‐use decisions of partners within one household. Thereby, an interdependent model of the partners' times allocated to paid and unpaid work that allows for simultaneity and endogeneity of the time allocation decisions of the spouses is applied. When including both weekdays and weekend days in the analysis, a complementary relationship between the partner's time allocations is found. When restricting the analysis to weekdays, however, men's time dedicated to paid and unpaid work is unaffected by their wives' time‐use decisions.

党的十六大以来,以胡锦涛为总书记的新一届中央领导集体,立足于新形势下党的建设所处历史方位的新变化,坚持以继承与创新相结合为原则,以提高党的执政能力和先进性建设为主线,在全面推进新形势下党的建设新的伟大工程的历史进程中,锐意进取,努力探索新时期马克思主义执政党的建设规律,系统总结党的建设的基本经验,明确提出了党的建设科学化的重大命题,使党的建设实践探索和理论创新达到了一个新高度。     

Advice from women and men and selection into competition

Advice processes are omnipresent in our professional and private lives. We use a laboratory experiment to study how gender and gender matching affect advice giving and how gender matching affects advice following about entry into a real-effort tournament. For advice giving we find that women are less likely than men to recommend tournament entry to advisees than are intermediate performers. Furthermore, women maximize less often the expected earnings of advisees than intermediate performers. For advice following we find that men enter the tournament significantly more often than women in the intermediate-performance group do. Gender matching does not seem to affect advice giving or following. Overall, when it is less clear what the better advice or decision is, gender differences emerge. These results are consistent with findings in other areas that document that gender differences emerge in situations that are more ambiguous.     

基于TOP-100的研究生人格特质研究

采用卡特尔16PF 人格调查问卷,对参与中国科学院研究生:跨学科专业选择计划(TOP-100)的研究生群体的人格特质进行了总体分析,在此基础上比较分析了男女研究生的人格特质差异。同时,进一步研究了男女研究生人格特质与其学业成绩之间的相关性,并通过回归分析方法建立了实用有效的线性预测方程,其结论为TOP-100 计划的有效实施和未来研究生的教育教学发展提供了借鉴。     

从发展格局的视角看第16届男篮世界锦标赛

通过2010年第16届男子篮球世界锦标赛对世界篮球格局进行研究,结果表明：目前世界男子篮球运动发展呈美国与欧洲诸强争霸局面,美洲球队实力日益下滑,亚非澳球队和欧美诸强仍然存在较大差距。职业联赛水平、社会经济发展情况、篮球文化底蕴是欧美强队长期占据霸主地位的根本原因。

B. F. Skinner''s first public exposition of his analysis of verbal behavior was the Hefferline Notes (1947a), a written summary of a course Skinner taught at Columbia University during the summer of 1947 just prior to his presentation of the William James Lectures at Harvard University in the fall. The Notes are significant because they display Skinner''s analysis as it made the transition from spoken to written form; moreover, they are an effective supplemental source of examples and early approximations for comprehending Skinner''s functional verbal operants.
