ABSTRACT

Both Palestine and the Indian held Kashmir have become hallmarks of a postcolonial siege manifest in heavy militarisation, illegal occupation, human rights violations, and an excruciating love born from and for people’s resistance and solidarity. While different, strong overlaps exist between the two conflicts in having been?midwifed?by the waning British Empire in 1947; subsequent internationalisation and fighting against a type of contemporary international politics that subsumes them under so-called ‘Islamic terrorism.’ Also noticeable is the motif of ‘suffering’ that makes the tragedy of Kashmir resonate with the pathos of Palestine. This paper focuses on the vantage from Kashmir, where people herald the Palestinian struggle as pioneering and a beacon of just struggle. I illustrate how Kashmiris, have come to?harbour?for the Palestinians an ‘affective solidarity’ which is evident in their modes of resistance to lend support for the liberation of Palestine and credibility to the Kashmir’s own resistance movement.  相似文献

Under some circumstances such as the lack of commitment of peers or the imposition of excessive authority, many employees tend to turn a blind eye to either the development of new, more effective procedures or recognise that new or modified customer needs have developed. In these situations, organisational commitment is a preliminary step not only to the effective implementation of current procedures but also to questioning values of the organisation and future needs of customers. This study proposes that organisational commitment helps alleviate these problems by maintaining an ambidextrous perspective between procedural memory and peripheral vision to promote continuous learning. This research has therefore been conducted to explain both conceptually and empirically how peripheral vision could interact with and influence procedural memory, and hence facilitate continuous learning (CL) within the business. While peripheral vision is often associated with developing and supporting knowledge structures for the exploration of new opportunities and with identifying and addressing new clients, many consider these knowledge structures as examples of organisational routines and procedures, and thus as aspects of the ‘procedural memory’ of an organisation. To contribute to the understanding of these relationships, this study addresses two questions: (1) Are outcomes of CL processes within the organisation determined by the presence of organisational procedural memory – both skills and knowledge, and (2) Does an improved peripheral vision result in higher levels of learning? After using PLS-SEM on a sample of 203 employees of Spanish banks, our findings support the theory that peripheral vision facilitates the emergence of new and unconventional behaviours within a culture, which in turn has a positive effect on the firm’s continuous learning.  相似文献

Interventions designed to reduce stress and burnout may be costly and access is limited. This study examined the effectiveness of a self-help book, using Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to target stress and burnout in a randomised controlled online trial without any therapist contact. Participants were recruited through a newsletter of a health insurance company. Participants (N?=?119) who reported at least moderate levels of stress were randomly assigned to an immediate intervention (n?=?61) or a waitlist group (n?=?58). Measures before and after the intervention assessed stress, burnout (primary outcomes), depression, well-being, emotion regulation (secondary outcomes) and ACT-specific constructs. Compared to the waitlist group, participants in the immediate intervention group reported lower stress and burnout and higher psychological flexibility at post-assessment. Effects between groups were large for stress (d?=?0.9), moderate to large for burnout (d?=?0.5–0.8) and large for psychological flexibility (d?=?0.8). All primary and most secondary outcomes and ACT processes continued to improve in the 3-month-follow-up period. Results suggest that an ACT self-help book without any therapist contact is effective in reducing stress and burnout for various occupations. Thus, it may provide a cost-effective public health intervention for reducing stress and burnout.  相似文献

Maps engage both with the ‘not there’ and the ‘not yet' by simultaneously envisioning the future and tracing the lines of new geographies of development. Starting from these premises, the paper explores the complex relationship between cartography and hydrocarbon exploration in the Canadian Northwest. Through a selection of maps and mapping initiatives, it is shown how cartography has sustained specific geographic imaginaries of the North, such as the ‘energy frontier’, by infusing diverse hopes in the map-readers. Frontier-making through maps is, in this sense, a particularly difficult process to grasp, being influenced by overlapping interventions and agendas. The paper argues that it is because of their continuous mobilization of hope – regardless of whether this is directed towards oil or sovereignty – that maps should be treated as extremely powerful technologies, which contribute to transforming Canada’s northwest energy frontier into a ‘sticky’ and thus potentially unescapable site of promise.  相似文献

对地方院校师范生的调查表明,师范生在专业承诺、学习适应性和成就动机等方面处于中等水平。不同年级、专业、生源地和就读意愿的师范生在专业承诺方面存在显著差异。其中,规范承诺因子的水平最高,理想承诺因子的水平最低。这意味着,师范生对专业责任具有较深刻的认识,但还没有将个人理想很好地融入国家教育发展战略。师范生的专业承诺与学习适应性、成就动机之间呈显著正相关,学习动机、学习能力、学习态度、追求成功动机和避免失败动机能够显著地预测专业承诺水平。提高教师教育的有效性应当从几个方面入手:加强专业学习指导,提高师范生学习适应性;促进专业素养发展,增强师范生成就动机;强化专业认同教育,提升师范生专业承诺水平。  相似文献

在现象问题上,本质主义的失误就在于,把现象仅仅理解为物理现象、意识现象,而忽视了情感现象的独立自存性.布伦塔诺等现象学家虽关注并赋予现象以较高的哲学地位,但都未发现一个新的独立自存的价值现象领域.舍勒和哈特曼虽发现、证明并确立了一个与事实世界并立的价值世界,并使哲学的人本主义深化为伦理学的人本主义,但没有从价值现象学的角度对之进行系统考察.事实上,价值现象具有与物理现象完全不同的特质,是哲学真正的生命绿地,是人之所以成为人而存在的精神基地.  相似文献

工作满意感与建言行为之间关系看似简单、实则复杂,以往研究支持正反关系的观点都有,为了调和这一矛盾,本研究提出"U"型关系假设,并认为组织承诺对它们之间有着正向缓冲作用。以长三角地区17家国有企业的282名白领员工为样本,问卷研究结果没有支持"U"型关系假设,而发现两者成正向线性关系,情感承诺对两者之间具有正向缓冲作用。文章讨论了研究结果并对未来研究做了展望。  相似文献

采用问卷调查、文献资料查阅、体育统计和逻辑分析等方法,对莆田市城厢区4所中学1 000名高中生参与课外体育活动的认识态度、活动动机、活动项目、活动时间、活动次数及影响因素等方面进行调查和分析.有44.7%的高中学生对课外活动兴趣不高,有16.5%的学生从来没有参加课外体育活动;男女学生选择课外活动的动机也存在一定差异;缺少场地和器材,缺少组织管理和教师指导等客观因素是影响学生参加课外体育活动的主要原因.  相似文献
