宋陶岳《零陵总记》辑补

北宋陶岳《零陵总记》十五卷,为记述唐代湖南南部零陵旧地景观名胜与文人轶事的最早一部专书,宋及明代频见徵引,明以后散佚不见。清陈运溶辑佚七条,今人王晓天增补一条,共八条,仍有未尽。兹略为辑补,共得三十六条,合并条目编为二十九条,聊补史之阙文。     

Data-Informed Collection Decisions Using R

ABSTRACT

Collection decisions can seem daunting to a librarian who is new to the job. In charge of many new-to-her subject fund codes, the author wanted to understand what had been previously purchased using these funds and how to effectively manage a custom ebook collection. The author used the R programming language to clean and merge purchase and usage data. This article will provide an overview of tasks in R that can be leveraged for making data-informed collection decisions and for sharing information with colleagues.     

Project Feedback Loops: Visualizing Collection Evaluation Decisions

ABSTRACT

In 2016, a collection assessment project evaluated print serials and book collections at Johns Hopkins University in preparation for an upcoming renovation of the Eisenhower Library. Project metrics provided librarians with both goals and measures of success that varied by humanities, social sciences, and science and engineering—such as estimated number of volumes, decision type, and the percentage of serials staying or moving out of the building. A feedback loop with data visualizations helped reduce anxiety and improve communication across library departments by illustrating volume estimates, linear feet, and shelf height by decision type. Key takeaways include lessons learned about necessary data proficiency for academic librarians and the need for better data from our library software and applications to facilitate future collection evaluation projects for weeding off-site serials.

通过对各个专业涵盖的图书分类界定专业图书范围,由图书馆自动管理系统得到的统计数据,演算藏书比、流通率、流通比、馆藏比、需求率等关联数据,构建专业特征分布一览表和图书利用状况一览表,分析专业藏书分布和馆藏图书利用效果,从中掌握读者阅读倾向,找出藏书建设思路,并阐述了加强数据统计工作对于优化藏书结构、提高服务水平等方面具有较强的科学指导意义。     

The Effects of Questionnaire Translation on Demographic Data and Analysis

The collection of demographic data in developing and, increasingly, developed countries often requires the translation of a survey instrument. This article addresses the implications for data and analysis of two of the most common modes of translation. The first, the officially sanctioned—though not empirically verified—method, involves the pre-fieldwork production of a standardized translation of the template questionnaire into all or most languages in which interviews are expected to be conducted. The second, rarely acknowledged in the literature but quite common in the field, occurs where there is a mismatch between the language of the questionnaire available to the interviewer and the language in which the actual interview is conducted. In this case, it is up to the interviewer to translate from the language of the questionnaire to the language of the interview. Using the 1998 Kenya DHS, in which 23% of interviews were translated in this non-standardized manner, we explore the effects of the two translation modes on three indicators of measurement error and on estimated multivariate relations. In general we find that the effects of non-standardized translation on univariate statistics—including higher-order variance structures—are rather moderate. The effects become magnified, however, when multivariate analysis is used. This suggests that the advantages of—and also costs associated with—standardized translation depend on the ultimate purposes of data collection.

中国藏书史的内涵,大致可以分为藏书的搜求、图书鉴别、图书校勘、藏书抄补、图书储藏、藏书传录、藏书刊本、藏书题跋、藏书用印、藏书保护、藏书建筑、藏书编目、藏书思想、藏书毁散等部分,对其进行系统研究,有利于促使藏书史成为一门独立的学科.     

《全明词》对稼轩词接受情况的调查分析

有明一代,《草堂诗余》盛行,但仍有许多词人热衷于追步辛稼轩。与宋、元比较,《全明词》对稼轩词的接受面更宽,接受度更强。事实证明,在推动稼轩词经典化过程中,明人并未缺席,且为清初稼轩词风的流行作了铺垫。究其原因有三:词学理论的转向、豪放词风的延续和时代因素的影响。从明词与稼轩词关系入手,可为进一步深化对明词的认识、重新估价明词的历史价值找到一个新的观测角度。

辩护律师在侦查阶段的调查取证权应当是辩护权的重要组成部分,侦查阶段辩护律师是否享有调查取证权对于提高律师的辩护效果、更好地维护被追诉人的权利具有重要的作用.2012年新修订的刑事诉讼法虽然明确了侦查阶段律师的辩护人地位,扩大了侦查阶段律师的权利,但对于侦查阶段辩护律师是否享有调查取证权,法律规定得比较模糊,2012年底新出台的法律解释对此也未明确规定,由此而带来了诉讼实践问题的产生.因此,立法上应当明确规定侦查阶段辩护律师的调查取证权,并进一步细化制度设计,建立和完善相应的司法保障和救济等配套措施.
