Rural-Urban Differences and Their Amelioration

South Korean society is in transition toward a multicultural society. Integrating multicultural education into current citizenship education is challenging for the society. Historically, many national tragedies have created the unique characteristics of what being Korean means. South Korean social studies curriculum emphasized that Korea is a monolithic society with one language, one history, and one ethnicity. In recent years, however, the number of foreigners living in South Korea dramatically increases because of work, study, and marriage. As they become be members of Korean society, it is necessary that South Koreans acknowledge diverse groups in the society and revise a long-held belief about who we, as Koreans, are. To this end, the Korean social studies curriculum should include more information about as well as respect and promote ethnic, cultural, and social diversity. Social studies teachers should attempt various activities to promote students’ understanding of current social changes in South Korea.     

文化产业的内在矛盾及其理论变异--兼与金元浦先生商榷

社会生产存在的普遍矛盾,即生产力与生产关系的矛盾,根本上是文化所承担和折射的不同利益之社会群体在意识形态方面的冲突,表现为文化产业在商品经济中剩余价值生产特点与文化的反拜物之人性相敌对.其在理论形态上的变异围绕的轴心是对后资本主义文化工业的批判与“去批判化”,其中特别重要的是对文化消费认同的态度.     

The Feeling Edge of Culture

During the 1960s, the new generation changed the American Creed by deemphasizing sensitivity to evidence, emphasizing feelings and deductive thought, while assuming an adversarial position against the sociopolitical order and embracing the American Black's struggle against racism. Driven by pain, fueled by fear and anger and oriented by existential values of being the Civil Rights Movement, sought to actualize political values of justice and equality. As peaceful demonstrations dwindled, violence increased, converting individual anger to social rage. Anger's cognitive structure changed the concept of society into a dichotomy of Black victims and Ulhite oppressors, forming an ethic of sensitivity with victims occupying the moral high ground. Pain and tragedy were banished from view and blamed on oppressors as individual identities divested civil traits and acquired cultural identity, disuniting the civil society. Rubbing against the American Creed, the ethic ofsensitivity produced a feeling of malaise posing a threat to mentaL health.

公安文学作品中警察叙事的话语范式包括政治话语、日常话语、先锋话语、消费话语四种,它们各自表征着社会阐述我国警察的不同知识样式。但公安文学要健康发展并最终有利于中国警察的健康发展,必然要坚持对警察的正义姿态和英雄精神的叙述,也即必然要形成以政治话语范式为主导的警察叙事。

斯宾格勒、汤因比、梁漱溟是现代思想史上极其重要的历史哲学家。他们立足全人类,以文化为主题探讨人类社会发展的历史轨迹和未来走向,从而形成别具特色、影响深远的文化史观。他们在文化主体、文化走向上都有自己独到的见解,以各自深刻的内涵开拓了历史哲学新的研究领域。本文拟对斯宾格勒、汤因比和梁漱溟文化史观的基本观点和研究方法等深入比较,以期寻找他们在此问题的共通性。

Emerging,attracting and challenging: how some of the world's largest media companies perceive their challenges and opportunities in China

China's emerging media market, despite having heavy entry regulations, attracts foreign companies that suffer from saturation and stagnation in their home markets. This paper seeks to provide an understanding of how some of the world's largest media companies perceive their opportunities and challenges in China by discussing research interviews with company managers. It analyzes the findings of the interviews in the light of existing conceptualizations, which suggest that in emerging and opening media markets, cultural barriers to the success of imported media increase with the waning interest in foreign media and the increasing strength of the domestic media industry. The article suggests that Chinese audiences will become more inwardly oriented in their media tastes and that if the Chinese media market opens further in the future, the existing advantages that the Western media companies appear to have over their Chinese counterparts will have diminished by that time.     

“后百亿时代”:以文化自律与创新推动电影产业再度振兴

中国电影在赢得100亿票房的业绩后,事实上,正面临着新一轮的文化挑战。突出的问题在于,当下市场严重失序,失去了文化的自律性,逐步形成了一种市场金本位的定势。吸金的思维定势代替了人文的主体性以及艺术的创新与智慧,开启了一种仅以GDP增长为目标的市场方向,造成人文原创性的匮乏以及大片的文化贫血症。针对此种现状,我们应当考虑的不是创造了多少GDP新高,而是今后能否以文化的自律性与艺术的创新精神来提升电影的思想力度与文化品格,在社会审美的意义上实现向现代审美的转换。电影作为文化产品,其固有的精神本源性及其核心价值应是第一位的。因此,我们必须自觉地肩负起时代赋予的文化使命与责任,引导我们的电影产业在与文化的和谐共生中实现再度振兴,为将电影产业做成我们国民经济支柱性产业的伟大目标而努力奋进。
