We consider the problem of constructing good two-level nonregular fractional factorial designs. The criteria of minimum G and G2 aberration are used to rank designs. A general design structure is utilized to provide a solution to this practical, yet challenging, problem. With the help of this design structure, we develop an efficient algorithm for obtaining a collection of good designs based on the aforementioned two criteria. The objective of this paper is to study the issue of the projection discrepancy along the line of Liu (2002) and Fang and Qin (2005) based on discrete discrepancy measure proposed in Qin and Fang (2004), which has wide application to the field of fractional factorials. Here we also study the projection properties for q-level factorials and provide connection between minimum projection uniformity and other optimality criteria. Efforts have been made in the literature to find optimal single arrays which work best for the robust parameter experiments. However, examples show that in many cases the optimal designs obtained by the existing criteria cloud not attain the maximum number of clear interested effects for robust parameter experiments. In this paper, through a similar way of Zhang et al. (2008) (ZLZA, in short), an aliasing pattern to measure the confounding between the interested effects and other effects for the case of robust parameter designs is introduced. A new criterion for selecting optimal two-level regular single arrays is proposed. In the consideration of the criterion, two rank-orders of effects are suggested: one is based on the interest of experimenters and the other is under the usual effect hierarchy principle. Abstract Objective: This research extends the literature on event-specific environmental management with a case study evaluation of an intervention designed to reduce student drinking at a university's year-end celebration. Participants: Cornell University undergraduates were surveyed each May from 2001 through 2009. Sample sizes ranged from 322 to 1,973. Methods: Randomly sampled surveys were conducted after a large, annual spring campus celebration. An environmental management plan was initiated in 2003 that included increased enforcement of the minimum legal drinking age (MLDA) law. Results: In the short term, drinking at the campus celebration decreased while drinking before the event increased. Over time, the intervention significantly reduced high-risk drinking on the day of the event, especially among those under the age of 21. Conclusion: These findings are contrary to the argument that enforcement of MLDA laws simply leads to increased high-risk drinking, and therefore have implications for how colleges approach the challenge of student alcohol misuse. 相似文献

Fairness considerations often are invoked to explain wage differences that appear unrelated to worker characteristics or job
conditions, but non-experimental tests of fair wage models are rare because market data rarely permit researchers to measure
individual workers’ productivity and its value. We use data from the baseball labor market to address this problem, and find
no support for fair wage theory. We do find, however, that fairness premia can be illusory: Wages appear to incorporate fairness
premia in regressions that control for variation in individuals’ physical output, but such premia evaporate when the value
of that output is held constant.
