Exploring Queer Consciousness Among Social Workers

The purpose of this study is to examine the attitudes of MSW practitioners toward lesbians and gay men using a recently developed instrument. Whereas prior research focused on blatantly homophobic or heterosexist attitudes, this research uses a measurement tool based on the concept of queer consciousness (QC) and measures subtle forms of prejudice, including both positive and negative attitudes along four dimensions: Value gay and lesbian progress/diversity, resist traditional sex and gender roles, positive beliefs about lesbians, and positive beliefs about gay men. Research findings indicate negative attitudes toward lesbians and gay men in three out of the four dimensions for the sample of social work practitioners. This article concludes with suggestions for social work educators who want to redress areas of subtle prejudice and promote higher levels of QC.     

论敦煌宗教话本《庐山远公话》和《叶净能诗》

敦煌文献中的《庐山远公话》和《叶净能诗》,是两篇宗教文学话本.它们都是佛教徒或道教徒利用民间说话艺术形式进行宗教宣传、神话宗教人物的宣传作品.《庐山远公话》叙东晋名僧惠远的故事,但除了惠远家住雁门、庐山出家的基本框架外,其他绝大部分情节、特别是其主干情节如白庄劫寺、远公为奴、远公与道安论议等都是作者虚构的.这种虚构在正统僧人看来是"诳",但对于文学作品来说,却是非常必要的,是文学的自觉.《叶净能诗》则把初唐至盛唐百余年间的明崇俨、申天师、叶法善、罗公远等著名道士的奇闻轶事都"捏合"在道士叶净能的身上,集中表现他的奇术异能.该话本有些情节写得饶有风趣,宣传教化及娱心两相兼顾.     

Intermarriage and the demography of secularization

One way of measuring religious affiliation is to look at rites of initiation such as baptism. English statistics show that for the first time since the Church of England was founded, less than half the nation is Anglican on this criterion. The pattern of formal religious transmission changed during the Second World War. Previously christening was quasi-universal, and the Church of England was the preferred provider. By the end of the war baptism was evidently optional, and chosen principally by parents whose religious identities matched. Further analysis suggests that affiliation now tends to be lost following marriage to someone from a different religious background, though the USA differs from Europe in this respect. A demographic theory of advanced secularization is outlined that specifies a proximal cause for declining religious affiliation, and provides tools for predicting the changes to be expected over future decades. The theory also helps to explain why affiliation may fall most quickly where there is most religious diversity.

原始宗教艺术是伴随着原始宗教的形成和发展而产生的,原始宗教和原始艺术不可分割、互相渗透,原始宗教为原始艺术提供内容,而原始艺术则成为宗教的表现形式。二者具有谁也离不开谁的渊源关系。

Everyday mobilities and the construction of subjective spiritual geographies in ‘Non-places’

Traditional geographic approaches depict sacred spaces, religion and spirituality as places of stillness and tranquillity, this paper challenges such fixity and instead uses the mobilities lens to analyse the dynamic and fluid nature of contemporary spirituality. It builds on recent work that draws on mobilities and geographies of religion by shifting focus away from the extraordinary journeys of pilgrimage to the ordinary, the mundane and everyday routines and movements; trips for economic, recreational or utilitarian purposes. The findings illustrate the activities that people do when they are on the move that can be related to their personal sense of spirituality and the ways in which religion interweaves in the movements and routines of everyday life and mobilities – from the radio playing in the car to the use of meditation. Often, activities became associated with specific parts of the journey and are threaded together to form ‘subjective spiritual geographies’ and significant elements of individual spirituality challenging secular pre-conceptions of mobilities time-spaces and characterisation of ‘non-places’.     

论德意志文学中的自然主义

本文在欧洲文化和文学的框架中论述了德意志自然主义的产生与嬗变、形式和题材。通过对代表作家霍尔茨/施拉夫和豪普特曼的重要作品的评论,剖析了德意志自然主义的偏颇,即把文学创作等同于科学实验,试图以单维度的理性和逻辑来描述变化莫测和繁复多元的人与世界。同时,文章还指出德意志自然主义独具文化批判和宗教意识的特色,从而在文学史上有着深化现实主义、开启西方现代文学的地位。
