Working artefacts: ethnomethods of the prototype

This paper follows recent science studies in theorizing information technologies as socio-material configurations, aligned into more and less durable forms. The study of how new technologies emerge shifts, on this view, from a focus on invention to an interest in ongoing practices of assembly, demonstration, and performance. This view is developed in relation to the case of the 'prototype', an exploratory technology designed to effect alignment between the multiple interests and working practices of technology research and development, and sites of technologies-in-use. In so far as it is successful, the prototype works as an exemplary artefact that is at once intelligibly familiar to the actors involved, and recognizably new.     

Civil Society Research Funding from a Global Perspective: A Case for Redressing Bias,Asymmetry, and Bifurcation

This paper adopts a global perspective to review the current situation with respect to the systematic study of civil society. It locates the analysis in a geohistorical framework, arguing that, as a distinct area of scholarship, contemporary civil society research is a two-track post-Cold War phenomenon exhibiting major shortcomings. A new type of dedicated research financing and process of allocation could redress today's research limitations in ways that will beneficially cross-fertilize parallel approaches and epistemological traditions while increasing the spread of centers dedicated to such knowledge generation. The analysis leads to suggestions for a civil society research agenda and investment principles.     

学报的信息量与学术论文的文风建设

学报是学术论文的载体,学报的信息量与学术论文的文风紧密相关。扩大学报的信息量,除缩短刊期、扩版等粗放型、外延型的办法外,还应注重集约型、内含型的办法,尤其应重视学术论文的文风建设。根据目前高校学报的实际情况,提倡朴实严谨、精辟简约的优良文风,抵制长篇大论和投机取巧、哗众取宠的"假、大、空"文风成为当务之急。     

中国可持续发展10年研究的述评

《中国21世纪议程》发表近10年以来,我国经济理论界与实际工作部门对可持续发展的基本理论和中国可持续发展的实践问题进行了多方面的研究。对近10年来中国可持续发展的研究进行回顾、总结和评价,并展望21世纪可持续发展研究的重点与方向,对推动中国可持续发展理论与实践的研究具有十分重要的意义。     

关于翻译学研究对象本体论的哲学反思

目前,翻译理论研究及翻译理论本身在本体论前提方面的思想理论储备严重不足,突出地表现为在研究对象本体论方面的局限,导致了翻译理论本体论以及整个翻译理论建构上的局限。"艺术的"、"科学的"、"科学+艺术的"都不是翻译活动以及翻译理论研究的对象主体或对象主体全部。将翻译活动简单地定性为"科学"、"艺术"、"科学+艺术"都是错误的,"翻译学是艺术论"、"翻译学是科学论与艺术论的统一"也是错误的。     

试论教育研究的文化意识

近年来,教育研究领域出现了文化学的研究取向,并取得了一些成果,但从总体上看,教育研究仍然亟待加强自觉的"文化意识",这就是,一方面依据文化、文化与人的关系问题作出方法论的转变,另一方面,积极关注文化的发展。当代哲学主题与方法论的转变要求教育研究重建自己的方法论,而当代中国文化的现状与未来则需要教育研究者以积极的态度参与到当代中国文化发展中去。     

近二十年来《尚书》研究综述

在经过50—70年代沉寂之后,《尚书》研究在80年代开始逐渐升温,并逐渐进入高潮。近20年来《尚书》研究的综合性著作和《尚书》译注的大量出现,学者对《尚书》具体问题的研究越来越广泛。特别是近年来出土文献的发现,《尚书》研究更加深入。本文就近20年来《尚书》研究一些有代表性的成果进行综述。

社会系统及其生态性研究

在中国,提出"社会系统"的科学概念并对"社会系统"作科学而深刻的研究是在20世纪80年代以后,时至今日,也未形成有代表性的一般理论。而在国外,对"社会系统"的研究由来已久,并形成了不同的学派,尤其以帕森斯的社会系统一般理论、社会系统生态性理论为突出代表。同样,中国学者对社会系统的生态性的关注,也是近些年的事。本文对"社会系统"和"社会系统生态性"作出了明确的界定。
