歧义容忍度与学习策略的关系研究

歧义容忍度是指外语学习过程中碰到不确定心理上的容忍程度,它成为影响外语学习的一个重要的因素。调查非英语专业学生歧义容忍度与英语学习策略之间的关系,分析了歧义容忍度水平不同的学生的学习策略使用差异,说明歧义容忍确实是影响学生选择和使用学习策略的一个重要因素。     

Tolerance limits under Poisson regression based on small-sample asymptotic methodology

This article explores the calculation of tolerance limits for the Poisson regression model based on the profile likelihood methodology and small-sample asymptotic corrections to improve the coverage probability performance. The data consist of n counts, where the mean or expected rate depends upon covariates via the log regression function. This article evaluated upper tolerance limits as a function of covariates. The upper tolerance limits are obtained from upper confidence limits of the mean. To compute upper confidence limits the following methodologies were considered: likelihood based asymptotic methods, small-sample asymptotic methods to improve the likelihood based methodology, and the delta method. Two applications are discussed: one application relating to defects in semiconductor wafers due to plasma etching and the other examining the number of surface faults in upper seams of coal mines. All three methodologies are illustrated for the two applications.     

The Diffusion of Tolerance: Birth Cohort Changes in the Effects of Education and Income on Political Tolerance

Political tolerance—the willingness to extend civil liberties to traditionally stigmatized groups—is pivotal to the functioning of democracy and the well‐being of members of stigmatized groups. Although political tolerance has traditionally been more common among American elites, we argue that as tolerance has increased, it has also diffused to less educated and less affluent segments of the population. The relative stability of political attitudes over the life course and the socialization of more recent birth cohorts in contexts of increased tolerance suggest that this diffusion of tolerance occurs across birth cohorts rather than time periods. Using age‐period‐cohort models and more than three and a half decades of repeated cross‐sectional survey data, we find persistent and robust across‐cohort declines in the importance of both income and higher education in determining levels of political tolerance. Declines in the effects of socioeconomic status are evident with tolerance toward all five out‐groups in the analysis—anti‐religionists, gays and lesbians, communists, militarists, and racists—but to varying degrees. These findings fit with a model of changes in public opinion, particularly views of civil and political rights, through processes of cultural diffusion and cohort replacement.

口语产出质量与模糊容忍度的相关研究

以某大学的90名非英语专业学生为研究对象,利用Ely的模糊容忍度调查问卷（SLTAS）（1995）和两篇从GRE和TOEFL考试中选取的材料为主要测试工具,考察阅读中的模糊容忍度与口语产出质量的相关性.结果证明：模糊容忍度与口语产出质量存在显著正相关,模糊容忍度越高,其口语成绩也越高.模糊容忍度对口语的影响表现在流利性、完整性和准确性3方面,对语音和交际能力没有影响;对阅读中的模糊容忍度与随后口语产出之间的相关性存在性别差异,女生存在这种相关性,男生不存在.     

政治宽容：概念的厘定

政治宽容不是一种美德,它是一种允许不同政见存在并使它们得以和平共存的政治手段,其本质是建立和维护有利于政治统治与管理和谐的政治秩序。政治宽容的限度为宪法规定。据此政治宽容概念可界定为：政治宽容是政治权力主体在宪法范围内,通过尊重和保障政治权力对象的政治自由与权利,允许不同政见的存在并使它们得以和平共存,以实现有利于政治统治与管理和谐的政治秩序的一种政治手段。     

铲除恐怖主义根源,建设民族和谐社会

少数分裂分子是靠歪曲历史和现实,宣扬极端宗教狂热来制造事端的。政教合一的政权必然导致宗教压迫和精神奴役,宗教对抗是人民之间相互摧残的悲剧。恐怖主义是极端宗教的产物;违背良善谋划宗教对抗是对时代的反动。民族地区稳定和谐的基础是信仰自由和宗教和谐,必须划清群体事件和犯罪案件的界限。     

关于宽容与诚实的儒家思想资源及其局限性

儒家经典中具有"厚德载物"与"诚信无欺"的思想,但对于中国社会现阶段道德状况而言,儒家思想却缺乏可操作性,因此,如何使全球伦理准则信念化或信仰化须探寻一条新的途径.     

近代欧洲宗教宽容的起源及其启示

经过中世纪宗教专制以及无数宗教冲突、迫害与战争之后,宗教宽容在近代欧洲逐渐兴起,并对人类文明进程产生重大影响。宗教宽容是指具备特定权力和知识的个人或团体容忍异端异教存在,毫无偏见地包容差异性信仰,进而予以多元化的接纳吸收。宗教宽容包含思想、法律、行动、政策等多重维度,是现代文明的基本素质之一。我们应在宗教宽容精神的基础上,积极推动宗教的理性化、道德化、人文化、公益化、社区化、现代化建设。
