尽快建立我国信用体系问题的思考

阐明了信用体系的作用及其涵义。分析了由于旧的体制和传统观念等因素的影响,我国的信用体系残缺不全,信用丧失现象随处可见的种种表现、危害及其成因。针对市场经济的发展和中国加入WTO之后所面对的现实,强调了当前在我国尽快建立信用体系的重要性和迫切性;提出了借鉴国外的先进经验,建立起具有中国特色的信用体系的具体对策。     

Parameter Estimation of Autoregressive Models Using the Iteratively Robust Filtered Fast-τ Method

Utilizing time series modeling entails estimating the model parameters and dispersion. Classical estimators for autocorrelated observations are sensitive to presence of different types of outliers and lead to bias estimation and misinterpretation. It is important to present robust methods for parameters estimation which are not influenced by contaminations. In this article, an estimation method entitled Iteratively Robust Filtered Fast? τ(IRFFT) is proposed for general autoregressive models. In comparison to other commonly accepted methods, this method is more efficient and has lower sensitivity to contaminations due to having desirable robustness properties. This has been demonstrated by applying MSE, influence function, and breakdown point criteria.     

Žumberak: A Sixteenth-Century Refugee Settlement Zone

This article examines the movement of Orthodox Christian refugees from Bosnia to the Habsburg Monarchy in the 1530s and their settlement in a district called ?umberak. The movement of these Uskoks has never been examined in the context of refugee studies. This study of a refugee movement and settlement over a five-century period offers the possibility of reaching a better understanding of the long-term outcome of refugee movements. Ultimately, this article suggests that the refugees affected the land they settled as much as the settlement zone affected them, and that, in this case, the refugees were able to define their own outcome.

The theoretical basis behind consultancy does not match its importance to the economy. Although theory building research has been advanced since the 1990s, it still remains fragmentary. The impact of these consulting theories on practice has therefore been limited. This paper provides a contribution to this recent field of research. Based on the Social Systems Theory by Luhmann, a model outlining the impact of consultancy is presented. Three empirical cases outline the usefulness of the presented model in practice.     

Nonparametric control charts based on runs and Wilcoxon-type rank-sum statistics

In this article, we introduce three new distribution-free Shewhart-type control charts that exploit run and Wilcoxon-type rank-sum statistics to detect possible shifts of a monitored process. Exact formulae for the alarm rate, the run length distribution, and the average run length (ARL) are all derived. A key advantage of these charts is that, due to their nonparametric nature, the false alarm rate (FAR) and in-control run length distribution is the same for all continuous process distributions. Tables are provided for the implementation of the charts for some typical FAR values. Furthermore, a numerical study carried out reveals that the new charts are quite flexible and efficient in detecting shifts to Lehmann-type out-of-control situations.
