东北大花布色彩浓烈的图案在中国大多数人的心里都有一份儿时的记忆。家家户户基本都有一床这样的被面,在农村尤为盛行。很长一段时间它都是人们眼中极为乡土的一个代表。东北大花布可以说是新中国成立以来唯一款经久不衰的布料了。     

泥咕咕：黄土捏出的“活化石”

泥咕咕是河南浚县民间对泥塑小玩具的俗称,因为能用嘴吹出不同的声音,所以形象地称之为“咕咕”。浚县泥咕咕历史久远、色彩鲜明,造型古朴,夸张别致,有着浓厚的民间特色,不仅深受广大群众的喜爱,而且承载着丰富的历史文化信息,民俗专家称之为历史的“活化石”。2006年泥咕咕被列入第一批国家级非物质文化遗产名录。

庆祝曼谷北京“姐妹城市”二十周年

2013年初,曼谷市长素坤潘·帕里巴特拉亲王结束了他的第一个四年任期,之后再次当选,开始了他的第二个任期。曼谷市和北京市作为泰中两国的首都,早在20年前结为友好的“姐妹城市”,双方市政府曼排了一系列庆祝活动,以纪念两座城市的深厚友谊。

Again I make the “around the world” journey back to my home, New York City. Having lived primarily in Beijing for the past four years, my internal bearing,my internal clock takes longer to realign with the new place, the new time （day is night） and the returning though momentarily unfamiliar culture.

Lack of access to funding is the main obstacle to women in rural China who want to start their own businesses.
To counter that problem, Liaoning Women＇s Federation has made unremitting efforts to implement the Small Secured-Loan Discount-lnterest Policy in recent years. For example, the federation has monitored the policy＇s implementation in villages, and it has conducted research in the villages to determine what women need and how it can meet those needs.

At the invitation of Leul Gebreab, President of the National Union of Eritrean Women （NUEW）, Meng Xiaosi, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, led a delegation of Chinese women to pay a visit to Eritrea from June 8 to 10. Meng met Hagos Gebrehiwet, Head of Economic Affairs of the People＇s Front for Democracy and Justice （PFDJ, the ruling party in Eritrea）.
