Integrating Relational Perspectives in Career Counseling Practice

Sweeping changes in the world of work are transforming the very fabric of career counseling practice as clients cope increasingly with work uncertainty, including unemployment, underemployment, and precarious work. The authors describe how relational perspectives (Blustein, 2011 ; Flum 2015 ; Richardson, 2012 ; Schultheiss, 2003 ) can be infused in career counseling, with a focus on the concerns of an increasingly stressed and anxious client population. To provide a framework for the application of relational perspectives, the authors integrate and present existing relational theories and frameworks in 4 tenets that have particular relevance for career counseling practice. An in‐depth case analysis is provided to illustrate how relational perspectives can be integrated in working with clients experiencing uncertain work and associated relational challenges.     

Practising social work in a ‘stateless state’; an exploration of the views,experiences and practice of children and family social workers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem

In over 65?years of conflict that followed the creation of Israel and the subsequent occupation of Palestinian land, the official international organizations representing the profession of social work have been in a state of avoidance with regards to dealing with crucial questions about social work under occupation. Until, last year hardly any relevant statement could be traced in the archives of the International Federation of Social Workers and the International Association of Social Workers referring to this issue. This article attempts to provide an initial exploration of the views and every-day professional lives of children and family social workers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. The authors investigate and reflect on the challenges and opportunities Palestinian social workers face while working in the context of military conflict. There is a particular focus on the impact of the occupation of Palestinian lands and the experiences of trauma affecting children who seek the support of social services.     

Social work online: a recognition of experiences and practices in Italy

ABSTRACT

‘The Internet is the fabric or our lives’ [Castells, M. (2001). The Internet Galaxy: Reflections on the Internet, Business, and Society. Oxford: Oxford University Press, p. 1] – but which are the weaves that nowadays connect Italian social workers into such a fabric? Herein we aim at answering this question through a survey of on-line resources, nodes and practices of e-Social Work in Italy. We shall be discussing ICT impact on the Italian context, and the utilization of ICT by Italian social workers, in order to build up the internal and external factors that determine the current utilization levels of these emerging tools within the professional community. A review of the major on-line social work portals will identify their key features and peculiarities and aim to provide an overview of the substance and current on-line functions of Italian social work, with a summing-up of criticalities and opportunities that might prompt reflection on possible future developments.

近半个世纪以来,国外批评界对德拉布尔的作品进行了深入细致的研究,颇有成就.国外的研究全面,视角多样,集中在宗教、女性主义、现实主义、后现代叙事技巧等方面.而在国内,德拉布尔研究尽管近年来呈上升趋势,相比国外而言,仍然相对滞后.整理耙梳德拉布尔国内外研究现状,分析德拉布尔研究视角,探讨研究中存在的问题,展望德拉布尔研究的空间,以期推动国内对德拉布尔进行全面深入的研究,并对国内文学创作提供借鉴范式.     

组织学习理论研究述评

随着商业环境的变化,组织学习能力已成为企业在市场竞争中的一种核心能力.组织学习研究很久以前就吸引了管理学、经济学、心理学、社会学和其它社会科学相关学者的关注,但至今仍然没有形成一个成熟的理论框架.因此,从不同视角对组织学习的定义、组织学习的模式进行考察就显得很有必要,它有利于我们认清目前研究的不足和今后研究的重点.     

多重社会理论视角中的当代西方劳动学说考察

当代西方学者基于西方社会结构的变迁和劳动方式的变化,从不同的社会理论视角研究劳动问题。哈贝马斯立足于批判社会理论视角,试图在劳动与交往根本相区别的前提下,通过发挥交往理性的潜能,祛除生活世界殖民化;鲍德里亚和鲍曼都是从后现代社会理论视角分析劳动的当代特征和意义的;贝克阐述了风险社会中劳动的风险特征和社会影响;贝尔等人从文化社会理论视角探析了劳动的知识特征和文化意义;阿伦特从政治社会理论视角解读了劳动的政治意义;布洛维则把工人带回分析的中心,分析了"生产的政治"对共识性劳动的作用和意义,如此等等。从总体上看,这些研究都是围绕着劳动与当代社会的关系这一主题而展开的,劳动是当代西方社会理论家解读当代社会的主要视角之一。当代西方劳动学说的社会理论研究,对于我们进一步地探讨和研究劳动与当代社会的关系以及体面劳动与当代人的生存质量的关系具有重要的参考价值。
