运输毒品罪若干问题研究

我国刑法运用选择性罪名的立法技术,将运输毒品罪与走私、贩卖、制造毒品行为相并立。但是,相关条文对运输毒品罪基本特征的描述采取了简单罪状的立法形式,法条粗简,无法与实践中纷繁芜杂的运输毒品行为有效对接,在实践中导致了诸多混乱。因此,对运输毒品罪的立法与司法、理论与实践相关问题进行系统化研究有助于提升治理毒品犯罪的整体成效。     

炼丹术与《本草经集注》中的矿物知识

《本草经集注》是陶弘景融摄医、道编撰而成的。陶弘景以中医本草学为基础,大量吸收道教服食方术尤其是金丹黄白术的药物知识,为丰富本草学矿物知识作出了重要贡献,并开创了医家本草与道经知识相结合的本草著作编撰模式,对后世本草学产生重要影响。     

Liability risk in the pharmaceutical industry: Tort law in the US and UK

This paper examines the extent to which product liability risk contributes to the high costs of pharmaceuticals in the United States relative to prices in the United Kingdom. Research on pharmaceutical prices rarely accounts for the impact of liability risk, and none that we are aware of compares the United States and United Kingdom. Drawing on a dataset of 77 brand name drugs sold in both the U.S. and the U.K., we analyze relative manufacturers’ factory prices in each nation. We utilize several proxies for liability risk including drug litigation history, the percentage of plaintiff wins, and controlled substance classification. Importantly, under U.S. law there are no caps on the amount that can be awarded to a plaintiff claiming economic losses in the U.S. However, payouts in the U.K. are limited. Accounting for market differences and regulatory environments, we find liability risk can account for a portion of the price differential that exists between the U.S. and U.K., warranting further investigation.

近年来不对称合成法应用在手性药物及药物中间体的制备中,使手性药物得到了快速的发展,不少手性药物及其中间体已经实现了工业化生产。在各种不对称合成方法中,不对称催化由于它独特的优越性而倍受人们的青睐。本文介绍了手性药物的类型及获取手性药物的方法,对不对称合成法尤其是不对称催化法在手性药物工业制备中的应用进行了综述。     

127例老年高血压病降压治疗特点分析

目的观察60岁以上老年人高血压降压达标用药情况,探讨老年高血压病的治疗特点。方法按JNC7标准,回顾性分析127例老年住院高血压患者完整的病历资料,了解其临床特征及降压达标用药情况。结果老年高血压患者降压达标以联合用药为主,2联最多,方案是CCB＋ARB。结论老年高血压降压达标存在临床特殊性,多需联合用药,宜选长效、控释制剂,缓慢降压,在血压达标同时,避免体位性低血压发生。     

Substance Abuse among African-American Children: A Developmental Framework for Identifying Intervention Strategies

Abstract

Substance abuse has devastating effects on the lives of African-American children and adolescents who are both directly and indirectly victims of this problem. This article discusses child and adolescent substance abuse from a psychosocial developmental perspective within an Africentric paradigm. The authors explore contributing and intervention factors related to substance abuse that impact developmental milestones. They delineate preventive tactics for addressing the problem of substance abuse and delineate implications for social work practice.     

High in the Cold,Thin Air: Risks and Benefits

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to familiarize health professionals with the clinical manifestations of illness encountered by healthy subjects upon acute exposure to high altitude. Acute mountain sickness (AMS) consists of mild (headache, lethargy, anorexia) and severe (pulmonary and cerebral edema) forms which are probably a continuum of the adverse effects of hypoxia. The former occurs usually at more than 6000 feet, and is self-limited with rest and analgesia; the latter occurs at more than 12,000 feet, can be rapidly fatal, and must be treated with descent and/or oxygen. Acetazolamide may provide prophylaxis for mild symptoms; Lasix and morphine should not be used for severe AMS unless close monitoring is available. The etiology of AMS is not clear but may be related to one's ventilatory response or the response of the pulmonary and cerebral vasculature to hypoxia.
