Stockout Recovery under Consignment: The Role of Inventory Ownership in Supply Chains

We examine how a supply chain firm may implement an incentive contract under inventory consignment to recover stockouts and to retain customers. Inventory consignment allows an upstream firm (e.g., a manufacturer) to own and control inventory at a downstream firm (e.g., a retailer), representing a structural change in supply chain governance. Motivated by cases in pet toy and electronics component industries, we formulate principal–agent models based on the newsvendor framework to capture the strategic interactions in a supply chain. We find that consignment can be effective in reducing stockouts because the ownership and control of the product by the manufacturer allows better prevention of stockouts, which complements stockout recovery and leads to fewer stockouts. However, the lower level of stockout under consignment does not necessarily translate into profitability—when the manufacturer is highly opportunistic, that is, readily exploring outside opportunities for its product, consignment may lead to lower profitability for both the manufacturer and the supply chain. On the other hand, consignment will improve profitability for the manufacturer and the supply chain, if both the manufacturer opportunism and the retailer opportunism are moderate.

西方分销渠道问题研究

分销渠道内在要素的不同组合变化与运动,构成了分销渠道的外在表现形式,主要有三种形态:数量或规模形态、组织形态、管理形态。文章分析了西方具有代表性的有关分销渠道方面的观点,包括四个方面:分销渠道的形成机制,分销渠道的规模决策,分销渠道的组织类型选择以及分销渠道的管理内容。     

Minimal 2-coverings of a finite affine space based on GF(2)

Let EG(m, 2) denote the m-dimensional finite Euclidean space (or geometry) based on GF(2), the finite field with elements 0 and 1. Let T be a set of points in this space, then T is said to form a q-covering (where q is an integer satisfying 1?q?m) of EG(m, 2) if and only if T has a nonempty intersection with every (m-q)-flat of EG(m, 2). This problem first arose in the statistical context of factorial search designs where it is known to have very important and wide ranging applications. Evidently, it is also useful to study this from the purely combinatorial point of view. In this paper, certain fundamental studies have been made for the case when q=2. Let N denote the size of the set T. Given N, we study the maximal value of m.     

营销渠道企业信用风险管理研究

目前市场上出现的各种恶意欺诈和恶意拖欠等行为,使许多渠道商的生存举步维艰,渠道成员间的信用缺失严重制约了企业的长远发展和持久生命力。通过研究发现,在合作伙伴赊销的情况下,渠道成员一方面可以通过信用界定、资信评估的方法规避风险、减少坏账并加快账款的回收,另一方面应用现今各种信用风险管理工具也可有效降低渠道信用风险。     

LoTTS parent-infant interaction coding scale: Ease of use and reliability in a sample of high-risk mothers and their infants

Reliable and valid measurement of parent-infant interactions is necessary to demonstrate parental skill acquisition, but existing observational coding schemes are too complex for practical use in most human service settings. The LoTTS Parent-Infant Interaction Coding System (LPICS) was developed specifically to require minimal training and to be maximally useful for human service (rather than research) settings. The LPICS consists of three global scales and four behavioral counts. Undergraduate students participated in approximately 9 h of training and coding using the LPICS. Low inter-rater reliability scores initially necessitated modifications to the LPICS in order to enhance reliability. The revised scoring procedure showed more promise, particularly for three behavior counts: talking to the infant (ICC = .86, excellent), touching the infant (ICC = .90, excellent), and smiling at the infant (ICC = .66, good), and one global scale: parental warmth (ICC = .58, fair). The revised LPICS may have utility as a brief, simple, and easy-to-teach observational measure of parent-infant interactions.     

西方现代美学话语转换的四个方面

西方现代美学和艺术话语的构成力量和陈述逻辑与传统美学完全不同,它们之间经历了四个方面的转变：１．传统美学话语遵循身体劳作与物之物性之间“交互转让”的有机原则,现代美学和艺术话语则诞生于主体对世界进行肢解和符号编码的历史语境;２．主体在现代美学话语构成中居主宰地位,并经历了由非理性主体霸道到被消解的转变;３．现代美学和艺术话语也经历了“语言学转向”,语言逐渐上升为美学和艺术的核心;４．传统“自然形式的合目的性”的“美”已被现代主体的“显现”所形成的崇高、丑和荒诞所取代。     

逻辑记忆法与英语词汇教学

英语词汇逻辑记忆法是以词代替以字母为单位作为突破口,通过研究词本身的内部关系,词与词之间的外在联系,找出记忆的规律和途径,从而启发人们逻辑思维能力的记忆方法。英语词汇教学中运用逻辑记忆这一方法,向学习者提供了一种有效利用原有知识经验,对生词进行加工的方式,帮助学生运用已有的词汇、知识和经验,去熟记和增加英语词汇,强化记忆,防止遗忘,将已形成的关于这一方法的陈述性知识向程序性知识转化,形成相应的智力技能,从而减轻学生对于英语单词结构记忆的负担,提高单词结构记忆的效率。
