试论现代西方基督宗教伦理思想的历史演绎、多元发展与理论困难

现代西方基督宗教伦理思想在纵向经历了一个变动不已的历史演绎过程,从内涵看体现为"以神为中心的自我伦理"、"关注现实的社会伦理"、"面向全球的普世伦理"三个层面,其本身内蕴着难以解决的理论难题,即"宗教伦理的神学化"与"宗教伦理的人学化"、"宗教伦理的世俗化"与"宗教伦理的神圣化"、"宗教伦理的全球化"与"宗教伦理的本土化"的关系问题,探究并解答这三大难题,乃时代赋予我们的历史使命。     

宗教机构养老：一种独特的养老服务方式--以温州基督教会柳市堂“敬老之家”为例

伴随老龄化社会的到来,日益增长的养老服务需求与相对短缺的养老服务供给之间的矛盾日益突出,成为实现“老有所养”目标的重要障碍。在此特殊背景下,宗教机构养老作为一种养老服务的补充形式在我国部分地区出现和发展。浙江温州基督教会柳市堂的“敬老之家”即是典型一例,它由宗教机构创办,借助宗教活动场所和教徒奉献,以非盈利方式向特定老年人群提供以精神关怀为特色的综合性养老服务。宗教机构养老受社会养老需求、宗教的慈爱精神和慈善传统、国家的社会政策、服务资源的供给、服务对象的主观意愿等因素影响。作为一种独特的养老服务方式,宗教机构养老具有独特的社会功能和积极的社会价值,但需要进一步规范和引导。     

当代美国新基督教右翼运动兴起的原因

新基督教右翼运动是指美国宗教特别是基督教新教中一些积极参与政治事务和社会事务的宗教保守派及其活动。20世纪70年代以来,美国新基督教右翼兴起的主要原因是:三次大觉醒运动为新基督教右翼运动打下了坚实的思想基础;基要主义运动是新基督教右翼运动产生的肥沃土壤;二战后美国社会发生的一系列变化,如科学的发展、社会意识和道德观念的改变、受主流文化排斥的群体反应和传统宗教地位的丧失与危机是新基督教右翼运动产生的直接原因。     

评基督教文化与中国现代文学的研究

基督教文化与中国现代文学的关系是一个十分重要的文化和文学现象。对这一现象的研究始于20世纪40年代,朱维之的《基督教与文学》是这一领域的开山之作。而美国学者罗宾逊的《两刃之剑》,则是该课题的奠基之著。进入90年代,国内先后出版了《十字架下的徘徊》、《中国现代作家的宗教文化情结》、《旷野的呼声》和《20世纪中国文学与基督教文化》等四部重要专著,打破了这一课题研究中的长久寂寞。这些研究或将宏观视角和微观分析相结合,或从宗教文化角度观照中国现代作家的宗教文化情结,或以自己的研究填补现代文学史领域的某些空白,或进一步拓展该课题的广度与深度,形成了在文化传布和影响下的深入探索。但更为宏观和理论化的研究、文学本体的研究和与同类现象的国别比较研究等,仍是该课题所需要的。

SUMMARY

Restorative Justice is coming into focus for many faith communities as an important shift in response to crime. This paper examines the history of our response to crime and describes the response of a number of faith communities. Extended treatment is given to the November 2000 statement by the United States Catholic Bishops, Responsibility, Rehabilitation and Restoration: A Catholic Perspective on Crime and Criminal Justice. Their approach to crime and criminal justice is reviewed, including a special emphasis on the Catholic Church's teaching on the option for the poor and includes policy recommendations for church and society. Examples of activity at the local, state and national levels are given. The paper documents some effects of the bishops' statement on community and legislative activity at the local, state and national levels.     

At the Intersection of Church and Gay: A Review of the Psychological Research on Gay and Lesbian Christians

While the psychological research literature on gay and lesbian Christians is rich and continually expanding, it is also quite fragmented—consisting mainly of studies with small sample sizes that focus narrowly on specific subgroups within the phenomena. Furthermore, the recent research and theories assessing and underlying the integration of these two identities have never been presented in one cohesive review. Therefore, working within a new theoretical paradigm that views gays and lesbians as spiritual and religious beings in and of themselves, the purpose of this article is threefold: 1) to integrate a fractured body of literature on gay and lesbian Christians; 2) to review and critique relevant psychological theories currently in use in this area; and 3) to introduce to the field the relevant theoretical concepts of integration as process and empowerment to better outline comprehensive pathways for future research on not just the lives of gay and lesbian Christians, but of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender people of faith.

民国初期,基督教在华教育事业的系统化趋势逐渐趋于明显。"中国教育会"在这一过程中发挥了重要的作用,主要表现在三个方面:鼓励课程和考试的统一;加强教会学校的联合和协作;促进教会学校与中国教育机构的合作。     

‘Thank you Israel,for supporting America’: the transnational flow of Christian Zionist resources

This article seeks to understand what it means when, in 2006, a noted British pastor and Bible teacher stood up in front of 8000 evangelical Zionists from all over the world at the convention centre in Jerusalem and addressed the audience with the following counter-intuitive words: ‘Thank you Israel, for supporting America!’ Evangelical Christianity has complex relations and ambivalent relations to the nation state and globalisation. Supernaturally speaking, Israel is the only nation state in the world that matters. Contemporary Israel becomes a kind of litmus test, both for manifesting the truth of the word of God and for manifesting the individual's or the nation's commitment to realising God's will in this world. For Christian Zionism, this transnational flow of resources into and out of Israel ultimately redeem locality, offering ‘the nations’ a place in the story, and the opportunity to serve as vehicles for God's will.     

Heteroglossia as a resource for reflexive participation in a community of Christian snowboarders in Finland

This paper addresses the ways in which linguistic heteroglossia is mobilized to construct participation in a youth cultural community of practice. The analysis focuses on spoken interaction among Christian snowboarders in Finland, and specifically on how the community members create social meanings by using their shared linguistic resources (e.g. religious register or snowboarding terminology). These socially indexical resources gain new meanings when the snowboarders engage in debates concerning gender, expertise and literal versus non‐literal interpretations of the Bible. During specific interactive events, they reflect on their responses to different Biblical discourses, thus aiming to reconcile traditional church teachings with late‐modern lifestyles. In the process, they construct themselves as authentic Christian members of the community. Humor and playfulness are often important means for the snowboarders to negotiate the potential contradictions between traditional religious voices and their lived social reality. Hence, ultimately, heteroglossia and indexicality enable the Christian snowboarders to establish and transform meanings, identities and cultural contexts.
