Moving communities: A process of negotiation with a Gypsy minority for empowerment

This paper describes the process by which the relationship between university workers and members of a Gypsy community evolved. Transformation in the relationships between the two, in terms of knowledge, trust, and affect, in turn transformed the nature of the work undertaken. What started as research on the community changed into research within and of the community. The process is discussed in terms of empowerment, community psychological practice and participatory action research. Este artículo describe el proceso de cambio de la relación establecida entre miembros de una universidad y miembros de una comunidad gitana. Las transformaciones que dicha relación experimentó, en términos de conocimiento, confianza y afecto, acabaron alterando la naturaleza del propio proyecto. Lo que empezó siendo una investigación sobre una comunidad, fue transformándose en una investigación en la comunidad, con la colaboración de la comunidad. El artículo discute este proceso se discute en términos de 'empowerment', psicología comunitaria, e investigación-acción.

Adolescent Perceptions of Appropriate Parental Reactions in Moral and Conventional Social Domains

Research suggests that adolescents' ratings of the appropriateness of parental reactions are influenced by several constructs, including adolescents' perceptions of the type of parental reaction, the emotions felt by the adolescent and parental intentions. However, little is known regarding how these constructs are differentially predictive of appropriateness in different socialization contexts. One hundred and twenty‐two adolescents (mean age = 16.87 years) answered questions regarding past situations in antisocial and prosocial contexts, and in moral and conventional domains. Different parental reactions were reported across moral and conventional domains. In addition, the appropriateness of parental responses varied across domain. Namely, in antisocial contexts, parental responses of yelling and punishing were seen as more appropriate in moral than conventional domains. In prosocial contexts, no action from the parent was seen as less appropriate in conventional than moral domains. In addition, adolescents' perceptions were more strongly associated with adolescents' ratings of appropriateness in conventional than moral social domains. These findings highlight the importance of considering both moral context and social domain when examining adolescents' perceptions of appropriate parental reactions and internalization of values.     

形式与意义不一致的辨认推断

形式与意义不一致是一种语用策略。对它的理解一般分为两步,第一是辨认,然后是推断。在辨认过程中有几种表现形式:肯定句表示否定意义,反之亦然;疑问句具有祈使句的作用;陈述句表达疑问或请求等。推断其语用意义要依靠关联原则和语境。这种语用策略使用得当,会使语言变得含蓄礼貌并且丰富多彩,如果使用不当,势必会产生负面效果,导致交际失败。     

断章取义:意义生成机制合法性的维系

本文从三个方面对“断章取义”的意义生成机制的合法性予以简要论述。一、依据哲学阐释学理论,“前理解”的存在是阐释者不可逃避的宿命所在,因而“此非诗人之情,而引诗者之情也”也即“断章取义”式理解应当是合法的。二、从语义学角度来讲,“断章取义”之“取”的主要诉求乃为当下的交流效果,只要能够达到此一目的,即“有断章取义而理可通者”那么我们就应当说它是合法的。三、从互文性角度来审视,“断之于彼,而无损于此”此一命题已经表明对于《诗》的断章取义其意义生成也应当是合法的。     

标点符号作为语境标记在阅读中的运用

语境属于语言学研究的范畴，上下文只是其完整概念中的一部分。语言标记中的标点符号逗号、分号、破折号、括弧，甚至还包括句号对语境线索的提示作用和句子问的关联作用，对于阅读培养语感帮助甚大。如果将语境和笔者提出的“语境标记”用于英语阅读，可能会收到事半功倍的效果。     

语篇教学方法在大学英语教学中的实践与探索

在大学英语学习阶段,语篇教学应该成为重要的教学手段,而语境在语篇教学中起着关键性的作用。文章认为应该从文化语境和情景语境入手,了解文化语境和情景语境对语类结构和语域特征的制约和影响,逐步培养学生主动建构语篇意义、宏观把握语言的能力,实现真正交际意义上的语言学习。
