Exact tests and confidence regions in nonlinear regression

Nonlinear regression models with spherically symmetric error vectors and a single nonlinear parameter are considered. On the basis of a new geometric approach, exact one- and two-sided tests and confidence regions for the nonlinear parameter are derived in the cases of known and unknown error variances. A geometric measure representation formula is used to determine the power functions of the tests if the error variance is known and to derive different lower bounds for the power function of a one-sided test in the case of an unknown error variance. The latter can be done quite effectively by constructing and measuring several balls inside the critical region. A numerical study compares the results for different density generating functions of the error distribution.     

Europe in world regional perspective: formations of modernity and major historical transformations

The paper seeks to present a world regional approach to the analysis of modernity and in doing so it also aims to make a contribution to comparative sociology and social theory. It is argued that world regions are the most suitable entry‐point for comparing different socio‐political constellations of our time, preferable to continents, civilizations and nation‐states. However, a world regional foundation on its own is insufficient, due to the internal plurality and historically changing forms of world regions, and therefore needs to be accompanied by a concept that provides some degree of coherence within world regions and a tool for comparison with other world regions. The notion of modernity offers this level of generality while at the same time allowing for variety in its historical forms. Six main formations of modernity are identified, of which the European model was the first one and often a cultural reference for many other parts of the world. The thesis is that in the present day the most important developments are in the Asian and Latin American varieties, which unlike Europe are witnessing major historical transformation. Decisive in all of this is the question of democratization in the shaping of social imaginaries. Beginning with the problem of how to define the specificity of Europe, the paper provides an exploratory analysis of some of the salient considerations around a number of world regions, their formations of modernity, and the extent of major historical transformations in their present constitution.     

农村信息化与农村经济发展效率耦合度分析——以甘肃省为例

在综合应用层次分析法、数据包络分析（DEA）模型对2005—2014年进行测度和评价的基础上,应用耦合度模型对甘肃省农村信息化水平和农村经济发展效率二者之间的耦合关系进行分析。通过分析发现,2005—2014年甘肃省农村信息化水平不断提升;甘肃省农村经济发展效率在多数年份实现了投入和产出的最佳状态;甘肃省农村信息化与农村经济发展效率耦合度较高,农村信息化与农村经济发展效率一直处于协调发展的状态。     

农村劳动力外出务工意愿的影响因素研究——基于甘肃地区农村劳动力样本调查

当前,我国农村发展进入了新的阶段,农村劳动力外出务工成为带动农村经济发展的一大动力,并引起了社会各界的广泛关注。基于甘肃地区农村劳动力样本调查数据,采用Logit模型,对农村劳动力外出务工意愿的影响因素进行研究。结果表明,农村劳动力外出务工意愿受多种因素影响,年龄、家中常住成年人数量、家庭成员最高文化程度、亩均产出水平、居住地理位置和农业经营收入等多种因素和变量对农村劳动力外出务工意愿都有显著的影响。基于实证研究的结论,提出针对性的对策建议。     

西部农村贫困地区幼儿保育和教育现状研究——以甘肃省宕昌县为例

农村贫困地区的幼儿保育和教育工作是实现全民教育目标所面临的最大难点。目前,西部农村贫困地区幼儿保育和教育工作主要存在以下问题：留守幼儿群体保育状况不容乐观,农村医疗卫生条件令人堪忧;农村幼儿园物理环境和卫生状况不尽如人意,教师队伍数量不足、素质不高,教育教学“小学化”。为促进西部农村贫困地区幼儿保育与教育工作的发展,应逐步完善儿童早期保育和教育治理结构,加大对幼儿园的规范管理,进一步完善幼儿教师准入和职后培训制度。     

民族共治和民族区域自治的法学思考

关注中国的民族区域自治和有关民族共治的问题,应从中国的实际出发。通过从宪政和法理学的视角研究中国民族共治和民族区域自治的关系,可以看出,中国民族共治和民族区域自治是统一的,民族区域自治是实现民族共治的重要途径和手段。
