Unit Root Testing in Heteroscedastic Panels Using the Cauchy Estimator

The Cauchy estimator of an autoregressive root uses the sign of the first lag as instrumental variable. The resulting IV t-type statistic follows a standard normal limiting distribution under a unit root case even under unconditional heteroscedasticity, if the series to be tested has no deterministic trends. The standard normality of the Cauchy test is exploited to obtain a standard normal panel unit root test under cross-sectional dependence and time-varying volatility with an orthogonalization procedure. The article’s analysis of the joint N, T asymptotics of the test suggests that (1) N should be smaller than T and (2) its local power is competitive with other popular tests. To render the test applicable when N is comparable with, or larger than, T, shrinkage estimators of the involved covariance matrix are used. The finite-sample performance of the discussed procedures is found to be satisfactory.     

Dynamic Conditional Correlation: On Properties and Estimation

This article addresses some of the issues that arise with the Dynamic Conditional Correlation (DCC) model. It is proven that the DCC large system estimator can be inconsistent, and that the traditional interpretation of the DCC correlation parameters can result in misleading conclusions. Here, we suggest a more tractable DCC model, called the cDCC model. The cDCC model allows for a large system estimator that is heuristically proven to be consistent. Sufficient stationarity conditions for cDCC processes of interest are established. The empirical performances of the DCC and cDCC large system estimators are compared via simulations and applications to real data.     

大学生“廉政感”培养的心理机制研究

廉政教育主要依托社会教育、学校教育和家庭教育3种形式,其中学校教育是廉政教育的关键,对于形成廉政教育的长效机制起着至关重要的作用。我国廉政感教育起步较晚,仍处于不断探索阶段。对于当前廉政教育存在的问题,结合情感的心理生成机制,从改变道德认知和情绪经验积累等途径,探索对大学生进行廉政心理教育的新模式。     

朝鲜开化思想诠论——以稳健开化派为主的探索

朝鲜开化思想,是旨在建设近代国家的资本主义改革思想,也是以反对腐败无能的封建主义、实现近代化为目的的近代启蒙思想的雏形。在改革的范围和速度以及是否要与国内外政治势力相结合的问题上,开化思想又分为激进开化思想和稳健开化思想。稳健开化思想以近代东道西器论为基本思想,主张通过自上而下的改革,力主对内实现富国强兵,且对外实行均势外交,引进近代的文物制度,使落后的封建朝鲜逐渐发展成先进的资本主义国家,从而实现近代朝鲜的民族自强。     

Profession scientifique et instruments politiques : l’impact du financement « sur projet » dans des laboratoires de nanosciences

In France, political authorities’ favorite tool for funding public research is now “project-based financing.” The reasons for this are well-known, but few studies have delved into its impact inside laboratories, on relations at the workplace and the meaning thus given to scientists’ commitment to research. A survey conducted in laboratories of physics in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology shows how its members coped with these new institutional arrangements. Several aspects of the changes introduced in scientists’ practices and in the benchmarks of professional recognition are articulated. Light is thus shed on the concrete and symbolic effects of public authorities’ actions on the formation of scientific professions.     

Economic ordering policy of deteriorated item for vendor and buyer: An integrated approach

This study develops an economic ordering policy of a deteriorating item with a constant production and demand rate. By considering the view of both the vendor and buyer, a mathematical model subject to single-vendor-single-buyer and multiple deliveries per order is developed. It can be shown that the integrated approach results in an impressive cost-reduction compared with an independent decision by the buyer.

20世纪90年代,成功学借助中国经济飞速发展的社会环境及人们渴望成功的心理需求得以迅速传播。成功学在大学生群体中也广为流传,它帮助大学生在强化目标意识、激发竞争意识及提高心理素质等方面起到积极的正面作用。但成功学也给大学生带来急功近利的浮躁心理、个人主义作风、错误的成功观、职业观以及个人价值观的偏离等负面影响。教育工作者要将西方成功学融入中国本土的成功学精髓,以学生的幸福为价值诉求,回归学生的生活世界,更真切更实际地多方面引导大学生成长。     

Testing the Equality of Multivariate Distributions Using the Bootstrap and Integrated Empirical Processes

We introduce some projected integrated empirical processes for testing the equality of two multivariate distributions. The bootstrap is used for determining the approximate critical values. We show that the bootstrap test is consistent. A number-theoretic method is used for efficient computation of the bootstrap critical values. Some simulation results are also given.     

实施《合肥市科学技术进步条例》效果的调查分析

采取《面向企事业单位科技工作者问卷》和《面向企事业单位问卷》等方式对《合肥市科技进步条例》实施十多年的效果进行问卷调查与分析。问卷调查结果显示:《合肥市科技进步条例》基本实现了科技立法的目的,但仍然存在政府宣传力度不够、科技投入相对不足、产学研合作亟待加强、激励措施有待完善等缺憾。因此,给出相关建议,为今后相关法规的修订提供较为可行的借鉴。
