英文影视欣赏对大学非英语专业学生英语学习的作用

对大学非英语专业的学生开设英文影视欣赏课程的目的不仅仅是让学生学习影视剧中的语言和文化知识,更在于改变学生对传统英语学习的观念,变被动学习为主动学习。英文影视欣赏的教学方法是选择合适题材的影视剧,对影视片的文化背景进行介绍并进行观影后的相关活动。在我国大学的专业英语教学中基本上都开设了英语视听的课程,但在大学英语的教学中引入英语影视欣赏教学的却屈指可数,英文影视欣赏课能让学生直观感受英语国家的文化,促进学生英语听说能力的培养。选择合适题材的英文电影和电视剧等音像资料让非英语专业的学生观看,有助于激发学生浓厚的英语学习热情和兴趣,提高学生的英语听说交流能力和增强学生的跨文化交际知识。     

Lived experience of Iranian bisexual women: a thematic analysis

Abstract

Normative homo-sociality, physical sex-segregation and other oppressive gender politics in Iran raise questions about the development of bisexuality as an “identity” among Iranian women. This study examines the lived experience of Iranian bisexual women. Six self-identified bisexual women were recruited by two announcements in Iranian LGBTI community social media. After in-depth online interviews, data were coded and analyzed by inductive thematic analysis method. Seventeen themes in three broad patterns (identity, social structure and relationship) are found across and within the data. Themes such as biphobia, confusion and self-definition are in concordance with studies of the western bisexual population. Themes related to social structure are unique and reflect the particular socio-cultural condition of non-heterosexual women in Iran.

英美文学是高校英语专业必修课程,随着现代科技的发展,传统的教学手段已经无法适应形势。基于文学改编电影的即时性及其声光效果能够加强学生与文本原著的互动,通过对文本和电影的双重＂阅读＂,能在更高的层次上启发学生挖掘出文学作品的深刻内涵。作为一种有效的教学手段,优秀的文学改编电影应用于现代英美文学教学中是一种必然。     

先锋电影:理论及其观众心理分析

20世纪20年代出现的欧洲先锋电影运动被认为是一次“精英运动”,是精英性和违背了观众的惯常审美心理导致其迅速消逝。但对观众的审美心理作出分析的话就会发现先锋电影迅速消逝的原因并不是它违背了观众的审美心理,而是由于观众感知积累的缺乏;精英性也并未导致先锋电影走向尽头,反而使其摆脱了早期的“杂耍”身份,成为了20世纪整个现代主义文化的一条支流。     

Publication Delay in Iranian Scholarly Journals

Scholarly periodicals in Iran are considered main information resources in the development of knowledge in scholarly areas. About 566 periodicals have publication licenses from the Commission of Scholarly Periodicals Evaluation of Ministry of Science, Research & Technology (MSRT), with sixty-eight published in English. This paper studies the publication delay of twenty-six Iranian scholarly periodicals which are published in Persian in Iran, not those Iranian journals which are published in English in Iran or out of the country. The peer review and scholarly publication processes in Iranian journals are quite lengthy and need improvement. There was no significant relationship between publication delay in Persian scholarly periodicals and their impact factor as presented by the Islamic World Science Citation Center (titled ISC). Finally, the authors offer some solutions for improving the publication system of Iranian scholarly journals and decreasing the publication interval of these journals.     

Race relations and racism in the LGBTQ community of Toronto: perceptions of gay and queer social service providers of color

This article explores race relations and racism within the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community of Toronto, Ontario, from the perspective of seven gay/queer social service providers of color. Social constructions of race, race relations, and racism were placed at the centre of analysis. Employing interpretive phenomenological analysis, findings indicated that intergroup and broader systemic racism infiltrates the LGBTQ community, rendering invisible the lived experiences of many LGBTQ people of color. The study contributes to a growing body of research concerning our understanding of factors underpinning social discrimination in a contemporary Canadian LGBTQ context.

研究了电影片名英译汉中受众文化心理关照的现象,在阐述文化心理的内涵、意义的基础上,分析电影片名英译汉中作为受众的中国文化心理特征,并通过实例分析翻译中对这些心理特征的关照。认为,电影片名英译汉中对受众文化心理的关照是必要的,有助于提高电影在目的语文化中的可接受性。同时指出,要用发展的眼光看待受众文化心理及其在翻译中的关照。

中国影视产业的仍然不发达,人们对影视产业对其他部门发展的带动作用认识还不明确,对影视作品价值的理解仍停留在票房等传统收入来源上。而成功的影视作品在坐拥巨额票房收入的同时,还可以通过版权许可等方式拉动电视、游戏、出版、舞台演出等相关产业发展。版权许可在控制版权利用过程的同时,还不会改变权利的归属,版权许可人可以对被许可人使用自己作品的时空范围和使用方式加以限制,被许可人对作品的使用符合许可人的意愿。这种合同控制的效果往往优于版权人直接去使用,因为众多的许可使用合同可以结合成完备的商业计划,使版权价值得到充分实现。中国影视产业的发展,不仅需要有品质卓越的作品,还要充分利用版权许可使用机制,发展影视作品的衍生产品,扩大与延长影视作品的文化和市场影响力。
