John Key the biofinancial entrepreneur

ABSTRACT

Alongside the better known repudiations of truth that have risen to prominence since the 1970s—known variously in terms of postmodernism, identity politics, democratic materialism or simply university discourse—this article seeks to estimate the significance of the reactions against truth that are characteristic of finance. Finance is a collective subject or social movement in its own right, composed of a set of actors, devices, technologies and platforms which together constitute an apparatus that reacts against truths whenever and wherever they arise. This operates most clearly in the logic of risk management, a generalised technology that accompanies the financialisation of economy, politics and culture. The process of financialisation or rather what will be called here the ‘biofinancialisation’ that seeks to code life in the terms of finance, bears austere lessons about truth and resistance and these, in conjunction with new resistances from below, provide new prospects for radical politics and progressive social change today. These lessons we will learn from, among others, the 38th Prime Minister of New Zealand.

罗尔斯政治哲学在德国古典哲学、英美分析哲学、社会契约论、功利主义政治学、当代经济学等众多领域有不同的思想来源,呈现出从洛克、休谟、卢梭、康德、黑格尔（斯退士）、马克思到维特根斯坦（马尔柯姆）、伯林、哈特的多重来源。在斯退士的直接影响下,摆脱基督教成为罗尔斯思考社会正义问题的逻辑起点,黑格尔哲学为罗尔斯构思正义理论提供了体系框架,分析哲学为他论证正义理论中的诸多原则和概念提供了精细的方法指导,当代经济学为罗尔斯解决正义问题提供了可操作的实践路径。由于罗尔斯本人有意隐瞒其中的某些思想来源,尤其是隐瞒了他同黑格尔和斯退士的关系,形成了所谓“罗尔斯的秘密”,导致中国学者误读了罗尔斯两个正义原则,进而误读了罗尔斯的政治哲学。     

An African Reflection on Tahrir Square

This essay understands the significance of Tahrir Square as a radical shift both n the way of doing politics, from armed struggle to popular struggle, and in the definition of political identity, from religious to territorial. It seeks to understand the historical significance of the shift by placing it in the context of technologies of colonial rule (both the Ottoman millet system and British indirect rule) and post-colonial attempts to rethink and reform this mode of rule. The result is a historical reflection that begins with Steve Biko and the Soweto Uprising in 1976, Mahmoud Mohamed Taha and John Garang in post-colonial Sudan, and closes with Sayyid Qutb and the significance of Tahrir Square.

Este ensayo entiende el significado de la plaza Tahrir como un cambio radical, tanto en la forma como se hace política, de una lucha armada a una lucha popular, como en la definición de la identidad política, de la religiosa hasta la territorial. Busca entender el significado histórico del cambio, situándolo en el contexto de las tecnologías de gobierno colonial (tanto el sistema de mijo otomano como el dominio indirecto británico) y los intentos poscoloniales para replantear y reformar este modo de gobierno. El resultado es una reflexión histórica que comienza con Steve Biko y la sublevación de Soweto en 1976, Mahmoud Mohamed Taha y John Garang en el Sudán poscolonial y termina con Sayyid Qutb y el significado de la plaza Tahrir.

本文将埃及解放广场的意义理解为一个剧烈转变,无论是在从事政治的方式上,即从武装斗争转变为民众抗争,还是在政治认同的定义上从宗教性转变到领土性。文章试图通过将这种变迁置于殖民统治（奥斯曼帝国的米勒特制和英国的间接统治）的技术语境下理解其历史意义,理解重思、变革统治模式的后殖民尝试。其结果便形成一种历史反思,它以史蒂夫·比科和1976年索维托起义、后殖民时期苏丹的马哈茂德·穆罕默德·塔哈和约翰·加朗为开端,终止于赛义德·库特布和解放广场的意义。

语言通过意义将纷繁复杂的世界经验识解为各类图形,并由词汇语法层的及物性系统体现。语言使用者选择不同及物性过程来表征世界经验时,其实际选择受到语言使用者自身经验、情景语境及文化语境的影响。分析约翰.斯坦贝克的短篇小说《菊花》及物性系统的相关文体特征,有助于揭示文本的深层主题意义：在当时社会背景下,女主人公所代表的女性世界被禁锢于家务和园艺中,在其他社会活动中只是被影响的对象,体现被动性;男性世界则专注于物质活动,极少用＂心＂去感知世界,缺少感性思维活动;具有主观能动性的人也失去了自我,变成了受客观环境支配的对象。     

斯坦贝克作品“动物化倾向”再认识——斯坦贝克作品中的人与动物

囿于特定的时代眼光和批评视野,20世纪中期美国文学评论界普遍认为,约翰.斯坦贝克的作品赋予人类以动物般的特性,将人降至动物的水平,因此作品带有"动物化倾向"。本文试图在新的时代语境中,通过文本细读,深入分析他作品与动物结缘的原因:即基于作者生物学的实践和知识以及非目的论的哲学思维。作者认为,被某些批评家贬低为"动物化倾向"的文本实际上是还原了人类作为动物世界一部分的这一事实真相,这在一定程度上,有力地反拨了对人在自然界的地位的过分夸大。论文认为今天他的作品在全球仍持续受到关注,恰恰是因为他作品的这一"动物化倾向"。     

Evaluation of the green supply chain management practices: a fuzzy ANP approach

Environmentally responsible manufacturing, green supply chain management (GSCM), and related principles have become important strategies for companies to achieve profit and gain market share by lowering their environmental impacts and increasing their efficiency. As environment has become a key strategic consideration in supply chains, this study examines the components and elements of GSCM and suggests a novel GSCM evaluation framework. It also provides a real-case study of Ford Otosan, one of the pioneering companies about environmental subjects in Turkey, to illustrate the industrial application of our theoretical assessment model. The identified components are integrated into a strategic assessment and evaluation tool using analytical network process (ANP). The dynamic characteristics and complexity of the GSCM analysis environment make the ANP technique a suitable tool for this study. Moreover, to cope with ambiguity and vagueness of the decision maker's evaluations, the fuzzy extension of the ANP method is preferred.

<好兵>(1915)是英国现代主义小说家福特·马多克思·福特(1873-1939)的代表作.从新历史主义批评家斯蒂芬·格林布拉特在论述文学的社会功能时提出的"颠覆"和"抑制"两个概念出发,揭示贯穿小说的"颠覆"和"押制"两种力量的矛盾张力结构,剖析了工业化语境下人们的精神迷惘和道德两难.反映小说从"逸闻琐事"中再现了历史真实,从"小历史"中反映了"大历史",体现了作者对资本主义道德伦理抑制人性的丑恶本质的揭露和批判.     

哀莫大于心不死——浅析苏轼与弥尔顿的悼亡诗

悼亡诗是爱情诗的一个独特典型,结合了爱情与死亡两大主题,涉及的是诀别生死恋。苏轼的《江城子》和弥尔顿的《致亡妻》分别都是中西方著名的悼亡诗。两者有相同的主题——对亡妻的追思。然而,由于受中西方文化,宗教,信仰,历史等方面的影响,两首诗叉同中有异。本文拟从文本内外对这两首悼亡诗进行解读,从中国和西方尤其是英国的诗歌功用理论和表现理论以及宗教信仰两方面来分析并探讨中西方悼亡诗之差异及文化根源。
