A field study of techniques for involving local citizens in the evaluation of Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) services shows that lay citizens can make recommendations that service agencies will use to improve services. Seventeen citizen groups received evaluation information from participating CMHCs and developed 310 recommendations. Seventy-one percent of these suggestions were used by the CMHCs. Staff and governing board attitudes, fiscal pressures, and other organizational characteristics affected the success of the citizen groups.  相似文献

在探析国内外公众参与历史街区保护的理论研究与实践案例的基础上,构建历史街区保护的公众参与度评价体系。以国家级历史文化名城泉州西街为例,采用问卷调查和访谈的形式,对我国历史街区保护中的公众参与情况进行测度。结果表明:总体上看,历史街区保护的公众参与度较低。居民意识到自身参与的重要性,并且有意愿参与历史街区的保护工作,参与意识较强,但由于文化、专业知识和参与途径等方面的限制,居民参与能力较低。另外,居民参与后对历史街区保护所产生的影响不大,参与效果不理想。针对评价结果,为提高公众参与度提出了一些实施建议。  相似文献

西街文化具有明显的后现代性特征,表现为三个方面:对现实的疏离所形成环境氛围的狂欢化、经营者对生活本真品质的追求导致的商业活动休闲化.媒体传播所造就的西街故事的传奇化。西街特有的文化生态是其作为旅游景点的主要卖点,和其他的原生态景点一样,西街面临本土文化与商业文化的尖锐冲突。现代商业操作可以再建造更多的“西街”,但西街的精神和文化是不可被复制的;作为旅游目的地,西街的看点就在于其特有的精神气质和文化生态,在对西街以及类似西街的景点的规划和开发应合理地规避矛盾,形成可持续发展的良好态势。  相似文献

This paper describes the basic structure of the Global Model used in preparing various parts of the World Development Report (WDR) issued annually by the World Bank. The report is designed to help clarify linkages between the international economy and the domestic strategies of developing countries. The paper is divided in four parts. The first two present different aspects of the model structure and discuss the reasons that induced the authors to orient themselves towards given functional specifications. In the final parts the policy relevance of the exercise is studied in light of the results that the model has produced for 1975–1985.  相似文献

This study recounts the implementation and evaluation of a problem-solving skills training program for adolescents. Sixty-six students from the seventh, eighth, and ninth grades of a local junior high school were identified by guidance counselors as needing problem-solving training—48 male and 18 female students between the ages of 11 and 16. The hypothesis that students included in the training sessions would demonstrate better problem-solving skills, a more internal locus of control, and a higher level of self-esteem than control group students was tested via a pretest-posttest Control Group Design. The results of a stepwise discriminant analysis of the data supported the hypothesis. An analysis of grade level differences indicated that the program had less effect on the seventh-grade training group. Implications for program modification and the limitations of the evaluation findings are discussed.  相似文献

This small-scale research study examined children's perceptions of themselves, their situation, career aspirations and hopes for the future. One hundred San Francisco children in foster care were interviewed and filled out a questionnaire. 50 of the children lived in foster family care; 50 in group homes. The Department of Social Services in San Francisco cooperated in executing this study. Children ranged in ages from 8–18. Both male and female children participated. The questionnaire contained two standarized tests, Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory and Parks Career Role Inventory. A section was written by the authors to examine how children in care spend their time, and how they feel about where they live and their foster care status. The last part, an open-ended section asks them which foster care setting they liked best, why, and what they would suggest to improve the foster care system. An additional question “Why do you think you are in foster care?” was designed to elicit the children's understanding of why they lived in foster care rather than their biological home.  相似文献
