Abstract

This article describes how electronic resources have impacted the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Libraries' binding operation and how the libraries have responded to the resulting challenges, including the need for updated collection development and preservation/conservation policies, a comprehensive bindery contract, and a fully functional in-house binding capability. The evaluation of the binding process must continue as libraries move from a predominantly print to a predominantly electronic environment. Librarians, scholars, and binders should work together to preserve and bind library collections that will be valuable to future generations.     

刑事判决书上网制度

刑事诉讼的判决书是集中反映审判过程和处理当事人实体问题的载体,笔者积极倡导应将刑事判决书及时而不加修饰地在网上发布,这不仅符合审判公开的原则而且也符合司法公开、公平、公正的理念,"正义不仅应得到实现,而且应当以人们看得见的方式得以实现"刑事判决书关系当事人的重大利益,是高高在上的法律与民众之间最重要的沟通媒介,人们可以通过上网这种现代化的获知信息的便捷方式来了解判决书内容,使得司法更透明,更亲民,也更有利维护司法的权威。针对现在国内判决书现状,判决书上网的必要性及判决书上网的具体操作谈谈看法。

屯田作为政治军事战略的重要组成部分 ,自秦汉以后不绝于世 ,成为农业生产上一种特殊组织形式。曹魏屯田规模大 ,成效显著 ,而且形成了一套比较完善的管理体制和管理制度 ,从中可以见其在屯田组织方式、管理体制、分配办法、生产方式等方面的思想及特点     

本真存在与非本真存在——《墙中门》的主人公昂内尔·华莱士人物存在分析

用海德格尔的存在主义哲学思想分析《墙中门》的主人公昂内尔.华莱士的由非本真存在回归到本真存在的精神历程。认为华莱士短暂的人生历程是一部本真自我的回归史,同时也揭露出社会现实对人性的奴役是暂时的,最终回归人本态是必然的。     

Initial Validation of the Open Adoption Scale: Measuring the Influence of Adoption Myths on Attitudes Toward Open Adoption

All adoptions, including those facilitated by public agencies, should be evaluated for openness. Although there are no national figures related to openness in public welfare, there are indications that it is not considered in all cases. Adoption myths may be one of the reasons that adoption workers do not always assess a family's ability to maintain a more open adoption arrangement. The following study is the initial validation of a multidimensional psychometric instrument developed to measure myths as they relate to open adoption. Based on a sample of 547 university students, the results indicate very good reliability and acceptable factorial and construct validity. The instrument was designed as a training and research tool to inform child welfare personnel and policy makers of the influence of adoption-related myths on child welfare adoption practice.     

新疆开放口岸特征分析与发展方略

新疆在对外贸易中的战略位置十分重要，其开放口岸有着辐射扇面范围广、季节开放口岸和常年开放口岸并存、公路、铁路、航空运输类型并举和贸易功能多样化的特点。但口岸同时也存在着基础设施建设薄弱、口岸管理体制不健全、受对方国家政策影响大和口岸发展不均衡的问题。提出应完善基础设施建设、强化管理体制建设、建立对外协调机制、加强口岸发展规划工作，以期全面加快口岸建设和发展。     

Legal Parenthood and Continued Parent-Child Relationships—The Moral and Experiential Aspects of Parenting

ABSTRACT

This paper presents a construct of parenting which provides criteria for differential solutions in cases of child protection, i.e., confidential adoption, adoption with contact and out-of-home placements. It is proposed that the moral aspect of parenting be central in judicial proceedings regarding the protection of the child. In addition a distinction between the moral and the experiential aspect of parenting should be made. The presentation of this construct is based on the author's assessments of parents when acting as an expert witness to the court (in Israel), in three cases in which compulsory adoption was petitioned by the state. The assessment of the moral aspect of parenting is based on the parent's own evaluation of his/her own parenthood, and the assessment of the experiential aspect is based on the parent-child relationships with a particular emphasis -on the child's responses to the parent. This construct may allow experts to tread the fine line between assessing parents and accusing them and provides a base for negotiation between parents' conceptions of their parenthood and the court's.     

教育信息化应走开源软件之路

随着教育信息化的深入发展,人们发现教育软件开发与应用已经成为制约教育信息化发展的症结。开源软件不但能够胜任教育信息化的需求,降低成本,而且能够随时根据教学需要自主改进程序、促进教学水平和学生创新能力的提高。最后就教育信息化推广使用开源软件提出几点建议。     

商务汉语教材编写初探

随着中国加入 WTO,世界掀起了“汉语热”,可是我国的商务汉语教材却不能满足需要 ,本文就商务汉语教材编写中的一些问题进行了探讨。商务汉语教材的教学对象和教学目的具有特殊性。编写商务汉语教材不仅要遵循一般教材编写的原则 ,还要遵循交际性和开放性的原则。在教材的编写中要注意教学内容的选择和教材的体例设计等问题。
