Much of the discussion of state steering of service delivery networks to encourage collaboration at the local level has been
theoretical. This study builds on this analysis systematically to assess the relationship between meta-governance tools of
central government steering and the extent of local collaboration, using the case of homelessness services in England. Contrary
to the pessimist expectations of some contemporary theory, central government funding tools and facilitating the transfer
of best practice encourages collaboration. However, simple information provision and authority based tools are only partially
effective, risking tokenistic compliance. Authority tools are more effective when combined with other tools.

The shirking incentives arising within team production are in general counteracted by monitoring and sanctioning. However,
these mechanisms are usually associated with high monitoring costs and cannot be applied to all parts of the production process.
In a laboratory experiment we analyze the impact of less costly elements of organizational structure, such as normative codes
of conduct and screening tests, on team production efficiency. We find that more allusions to a firm context lead to higher
contributions. In particular, codes of conduct significantly increase cooperation and at the same time reduce free-riding
behavior. Our study provides empirical evidence that normative codes of conduct are an effective means of increasing team
production efficiency.

The paper attempts to analyze the consequences of political pressure placed on the Public Service Commission (PSC) of Bangladesh.

The purpose of this article is to analyze the precarious situation concerning undergraduate public relations education in Spain, despite the existence of a Degree in Advertising and Public Relations. In addition to core subjects, which are set by the government and required on all university curricula, the Spanish system allows universities to complete their curriculum with other compulsory and elective courses. Given this freedom, universities have failed to come up with either the specific contents for public relations or for liberal arts, social sciences and business courses that will enable students to enter the profession. In light of the future restructuring of degrees through the Bologna Process, this situation is a serious threat to the continuity of public relations teaching in Spanish universities. 相似文献

Formula One is the most technologically advanced and financially lucrative form of motorsport in the world with global audiences in the billions over the course of a season. A highly unusual and potentially deadly set of events took place during the Friday practice for the sixth annual United States Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Controversy and blame soon followed. Using Benoit's public relations and image restoration strategy framework, this paper examines the different strategies employed during the crisis by the Formula One teams, Michelin, the Federation Internationale De L’Automobile, Formula One Management, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. An examination of the crisis situation at the United States Grand Prix allows this study to expand Benoit's initial framework into sport as well as examining the implications for public relations and image repair strategies. 相似文献

Public relations practitioners in this study who perceived social media (e.g., blogs) to be a normal part of their organization's day-to-day communication were less likely to choose an accommodating stance toward a key public than practitioners in “low-tech” conditions. Forty-three practitioners with a mean of 14.5 years professional experience participated in a 2 × 2 (contingencies for dialogue × technological orientation of organization) experiment. This study examined the impact of information subsidies on media coverage during a crisis. Using the July 2006 Israel–Lebanon conflict as a backdrop, this research reviewed access that U.S. military public affairs officers provided the media and analyzed subsequent coverage for the presence of the military's message. Coverage was more neutral to positive than negative. Items containing organizational messages were more positive; those quoting practitioner-facilitated sources introduced organizational messages into coverage and generated more positive coverage. Access to information subsidies had a positive impact on coverage and aided in the successful transfer of attribute salience from practitioners to the media. 相似文献
